Hedgy
What Hedgy is
Hedgy is a language-learning platform for independent learners and students working with a teacher. It runs on Android, iOS and the web. Russian has the complete feature set, while English and Chinese remain in active development. Its AI dictionary supplies translations, parts of speech, meanings and examples when you add a word. More than 17 training modes cover flashcards, typing, listening, speaking, phonetics and spaced repetition. For Russian, speech analysis identifies which syllable you stressed. You can upload PDFs, tap words for translation, stress and audio, and use OCR with scanned books. Teacher tools include synchronized lessons, homework, student analytics, live games and PDF co-reading. Teacher accounts can sync schedules with Google Calendar and receive Telegram notifications. The free plan is limited daily; Premium costs $5 per month, and Teachers uses a $1 platform fee per lesson.
