GitCMS

What GitCMS is
GitCMS is a visual content management system for Markdown and MDX on static sites. It connects to a GitHub repository through its GitHub App and reads and writes content there, so the repository remains the home for that content. Its editor supports slash-command blocks and structured frontmatter fields. By default, edits go through review before publishing, and AI agents can propose drafts for people to review and approve. GitCMS lists ChatGPT, Claude, OpenClaw, Hermes, Grok Bot, and Muse as compatible agents. It supports static site generators that read Markdown or MDX, including Astro, Next.js, Hugo, Jekyll, Gatsby, Eleventy, VuePress, Docusaurus, Nuxt.js, MkDocs, and TanStack Start. Media can be kept in the repository or stored in S3-compatible storage such as AWS S3 or Cloudflare R2. Workspaces offer Editor, Reviewer, and Viewer roles, site-level access limits, and configurable publishing permissions. The Early-bird site license is $49, paid once per website during launch, includes one seat, and charges $9 per additional seat; a free trial is available, but there is no free plan.
