Fontshare is a free font service from the Indian Type Foundry, offering fonts for personal and commercial use. Its collection includes ITF-designed families and fonts from other publishers; ITF reviews those outside releases, fixes design or technical bugs, and publishes their latest versions. Browsing options include filters for category, properties, personality, size, city, excerpt and name, with sorting by new, popular, hot or alphabetical. The service offers closed-source fonts under the ITF Free Font License and open-source fonts under the SIL Open Font License. Formats covered by the ITF license include OTF, TTF, WOFF, WOFF2 and variable fonts. Fonts may be delivered through the Fontshare API or self-hosted on a user's own infrastructure, including with CSS @font-face. Permitted uses span print, websites, apps, digital images, advertising, social media, ePublishing, video, broadcasting and games. Altering font software requires prior written consent. The API has no guarantee of availability or performance and may be changed or discontinued. The plan is 0.00 USD per free for worldwide personal and commercial use, with an unlimited period.
