The record

Product: Fond is a personal voice journaling app for capturing moments by voice or text and returning to them later.
Transcription: Fond transcribes recordings and lets users check and edit what it heard.
Ask Fond: Users can ask questions grounded in their saved journal and follow answers back to source entries.
People and places: Fond organizes people and places mentioned in entries so users can revisit connected moments.
Photo Journal: Photo Journal gathers eligible AI generated illustrations; not every entry receives artwork, and illustrations are interpretations rather than photographs.
Chapters: Chapters can bring related entries into a longer story when there is enough suitable journal content; they are not guaranteed after a first note.
Integrations and processors: Fond says it uses Cloudflare for hosting, storage and transcription, Anthropic for AI journal features, and OpenAI for generated illustrations.
Privacy: Fond says journal content is excluded from analytics and is not sold, but the service is not end-to-end encrypted and journal content is processed by AI providers.
Security: Fond says data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS and account content is retained until the user deletes it or the account.
Deletion and export: Users can delete notes or their account, and can contact Fond to request a content export.
Trial and billing: New accounts receive 14 days of Pro without a payment method or automatic charge; continuing Pro features requires an explicit purchase.
Subscription management: Monthly and annual subscriptions are managed through Apple App Store or Google Play, and canceling does not delete the journal.
AI accuracy: Fond cautions that transcripts and generated answers can be inaccurate or incomplete and recommends checking linked source notes.
Who it is for: Fond describes itself as a personal reflection tool for people who want to capture everyday moments and return to details in their journal; it is not a medical service or substitute for professional care.
