Final Fantasy I Randomizer is a free browser tool for changing the original US edition of the 8-bit NES Final Fantasy game. Upload a compatible ROM, choose a seed and flags, then generate a randomized ROM file or spoiler log. It can rearrange key item locations, towns, and dungeons, and alter monster and fiend difficulty. Presets range from Improved Vanilla, a bug-fixed and sped-up option intended for new players, to Floor and Entrance Shuffle, Shard Hunt, Chaos Rush, and Chaos Rampage. Further settings cover maps, treasures, shops and magic, enemies, party, classes, gear, and items, with cosmetic options for music, palettes, sprites, and interface behavior. The web interface runs on the user's computer without requiring an installation. Playing the output still requires a NES ROM and a device or emulator that can read NES ROM files. The randomizer works only with the US ROM version; its maker recommends a legally owned copy and does not provide a download link. Matching version, flags, and seed can recreate a game, except for cosmetic Fun% settings.
