Farm Biz is desktop farm accounting software from Specialized Data Systems, a maker founded in 1976. Its entry-level accounting program is intended for cash crop and livestock businesses and requires no setup. Reports cover cashflow, budget forecasts, vendor activity, enterprise analysis, purchase and sales analysis, net worth, and Schedule F. The program includes backup and restore to removable media, plus a Save and Verify feature. The Ultra Farm plan expands the accounting tools with multiple-year records, inventory, billing and invoicing, payroll, check writing, and enterprise analysis. My Field Crop provides records for unlimited fields and crops, allows multiple crops per field, and keeps historical soil tests at field level. Its mapping options include Google Earth satellite imagery, FSA map images, and scanned field maps. Farm Biz checkbook data can be exported to Microsoft Excel; Ultra Farm can also export to Excel and Fin Pack. Software and data reside on the local computer, and the maker says the software does not use the internet while operating. The software runs on macOS and Windows.
