The record

Purpose: Cover Council generates tailored, print-ready cover letters for law students and practicing attorneys.
Firm coverage: The service lists 175+ firm profiles covering AmLaw 100, Seven Sisters, mid-market regional, and Canadian firms.
AI interview: The AI Interview uses a resume and five short-answer questions, with responses available by typing or voice dictation.
Narrative quiz: A behavioral quiz maps users to Advocate, Dealmaker, Regulatory, or Mission-Driven archetypes and calibrates letter framing.
Bulk generation: Bulk Generation can queue multiple firm-specific letters in one session and download them as a ZIP.
Job description targeting: Users can paste a job description so the engine can select matching resume details for the letter.
Writing features: The site says its RAG system uses published CDO guidelines and Vault 100 firm intelligence, with filters for jargon and formatting.
PDF output: Generated PDFs include an auto-populated candidate header and firm recruiting address, which users can review before downloading.
Privacy and model training: The site says resumes and narratives are excluded from underlying model training and purged after a generation pass.
Security: The site states traffic is encrypted with TLS 1.3 and saved profile data is stored in AES-256 encrypted PostgreSQL databases.
PII handling: The site says its parser removes direct contact information from the resume before it is sent to the generation engine.
Integrations and payment: The site says payment information is handled through Stripe and names no other product integrations on the page.
Privacy policy: The privacy policy says data may be transmitted to third-party LLM providers such as OpenAI and users can request account and data deletion through Dashboard Settings or support.
Intended users: The product is presented for law students and practicing attorneys, including OCI and lateral applicants.
