What Chuffed is

Chuffed is a web-based crowdfunding platform for socially conscious projects, serving individuals, not-for-profits, social enterprises, and community groups. Organizers can run crowdfunding campaigns, create peer-to-peer fundraising pages and teams, add donation forms to a website, and offer regular or matched giving. Donors can be contacted through campaign updates and email journeys, while organizers can review donor data in real time and generate reports when needed.

Campaigners can connect Stripe, PayPal, or both to receive donations directly. Chuffed says they can access funds without first reaching their campaign goal. Its three free pricing models differ in who covers payment costs: Shared Model has no default platform fee, with campaigners paying 2–3% processing fees; Keep 100% Model leaves card fees to donors; and Flat Fee Model charges campaigners 2–3% card fees plus a Chuffed platform fee. Donors may add an optional tip in the first two models.

Chuffed documents integrations with Google Analytics, Mailchimp, Salesforce, Facebook Pixel, and Action Network. Salesforce requires API access and has limits on multi-currency organizations and contact updates. Action Network is set up per campaign and does not sync earlier donations or donor data. Campaigns must meet Chuffed’s Acceptable Use Policy. Founded in 2013, Chuffed describes itself as a Social Benefit Company.

Check the Salesforce and Action Network limits if either integration is central to your setup.
