ASUS WebStorage
What ASUS WebStorage is
ASUS WebStorage is a cloud document management service for individuals and small and medium-sized teams. Its xDrive stores files online in a folder-like interface, without using local computer storage, and synchronizes changes between computers and the cloud when connected. Auto-Backup can protect selected computer or external-drive folders and restore files to a chosen time. The mobile app supports photo backup and access to and sharing of cloud files. Sharing links can have permissions, passwords, and expiration dates. ASUS states that xDrive uses AES-256 encryption for data and TLS 1.2 for transmission. The service supports Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android, and web. A new-member offer lists 1 TB for 14 days at no cost. ASUS also says xAgent Connect is coming soon; it is described as a way to connect AI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude to authorized files. Some older components have a support limitation: Linux Sync, ASUSTOR NAS sync, and the Outlook add-in stopped receiving updates, maintenance, and technical support after July 2026.
