What AKM Music is
AKM Music is a web service for businesses needing licensed music for media or premises. It sells royalty-free track and album downloads, plus streaming playlists. Its media licence covers video, online, television and radio broadcasts, social media, film, theatre and unlimited productions. The company says a one-time media purchase allows worldwide use on unlimited projects. Non PRS/PPL business music is offered for shops, hotels, restaurants, spas, fitness studios, GP practices and dental practices. Tracks and albums can be browsed by mood or genre, and AKM Music says it handpicks composer submissions; over 90% of its library is described as exclusive. Audio Streaming includes more than 60 ad-free playlists, monthly additions, Jukebox and Shuffle, and a licence-free playback certificate. One subscription covers one site and up to five logins. Streaming works through a computer, phone or tablet connected to a speaker, but not as a Sonos service. Plans include £7.99 a month or £86.29 a year, each with a 7-day trial.
