Xiaomi announced its global HyperOS 2 rollout roadmap in November 2024, with staged releases scheduled from November 2024 through June 2025. The schedule covered selected Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO devices, plus tablets and a wearable. It gave rollout windows—not guaranteed delivery dates—and those windows have now passed. Xiaomi described the rollout as a “soft release,” with timing subject to region, device and software version.
The roadmap applied to global device versions outside mainland China. Check your exact model and software branch rather than assuming that a similarly named phone, imported device or regional variant followed the same schedule. Xiaomi’s original HyperOS 2 roadmap is the primary reference; Xiaomi’s current global HyperOS page has since moved on to HyperOS 3.
Original global rollout windows
Xiaomi grouped existing devices into two broad rollout waves and listed a later window for newer Redmi and POCO models. New products were listed separately as shipping with HyperOS 2 already installed. The dates below describe Xiaomi’s announced plan, not proof that every device in every market received the update within that period.

POCO C75 appeared in both the December–May group and the March–June group in Xiaomi’s published schedule. That overlap is a reason to treat the list as a roadmap, not a precise model-by-model delivery calendar.
What “soft release” meant
A soft release is a phased distribution: eligible devices do not necessarily receive an update on the same day, even when they share a model name. A listed month marked the start or span of a planned rollout, not a promise that the update would appear for every owner at the beginning of that month.

Xiaomi said timing, availability and features could vary by region, model and software version, and that the schedule could be adjusted. A global listing therefore does not automatically describe the update path for a China-ROM device, an India- or EEA-specific build, a carrier-customized phone, or an imported handset. “Global” also should not be read as a guarantee of identical availability in the United States or every other market.

- Confirm the exact device variant and its installed regional software build. A family name such as “Redmi Note 13” alone may not identify the relevant branch.
- On the device, open Settings → About phone → Xiaomi HyperOS → Check for updates. Menu names can differ by model and software version.
- If an update is not offered, do not assume the schedule guarantees that your particular regional build is eligible or that distribution is still active. Carrier approval, staged rollout timing, a different ROM branch or a paused release can affect availability.
Do not install firmware from another region just because the model name appears on the roadmap. Cross-region flashing can erase data, cause compatibility or bootloader problems, and affect support. If the official updater does not offer a suitable build, waiting for the appropriate OTA or contacting Xiaomi support is the safer route.

HyperOS 2 did not mean every feature was available to every device
Xiaomi presented HyperOS 2 around HyperCore system improvements, HyperConnect cross-device features and HyperAI. These feature groups had their own hardware, software and regional qualifications; being listed for HyperOS 2 did not establish eligibility for every advertised capability. Xiaomi’s overview of HyperOS 2 describes those platform pillars, while its roadmap gives the more specific availability caveats.
HyperAI had a separate schedule. Xiaomi listed it as available immediately on Xiaomi 15, Xiaomi 15 Ultra, Xiaomi Pad 7 and Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro, with availability beginning from April 2025 on selected Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO models. That was not the same as the full HyperOS 2 eligibility list, and the dossier does not establish that every HyperAI function reached every listed device or region.

Likewise, Xiaomi promoted cross-device connectivity, including features involving PCs and selected Apple devices, but those capabilities depended on supported models, software versions and configurations. The original page identified Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra for Xiaomi–Apple interconnectivity at that point, with additional devices potentially added through later OTA updates. Do not infer broad compatibility from a phone’s HyperOS 2 eligibility alone.
Secondary coverage described HyperOS 2 as based on Android 15, including Android Authority’s roadmap report. Xiaomi’s global schedule was primarily a HyperOS rollout plan, however, and it does not establish one identical Android version or feature set for every model in every region.
Historical schedule, not a current update forecast
The announced windows ended in 2025. As of August 2026, this is useful as a record of what Xiaomi planned, not as a prediction that a HyperOS 2 OTA is still due. Xiaomi’s current global HyperOS page now presents HyperOS 3. For a current support question, check the version and build offered to your exact device through its updater or Xiaomi’s regional support resources rather than relying on a 2024 roadmap alone.
