Yes—Xiaomi has launched the Curved Gaming Monitor G34WQi 2026 outside China, but availability is regional rather than worldwide. Xiaomi lists the 34-inch ultrawide monitor on its global website, with official market evidence in Japan, Australia and the Philippines. Japan sales began on February 24, 2026, at ¥44,980 including tax, with an introductory price of ¥39,980 through March 9.
The monitor combines a 3440×1440 VA panel, 180Hz refresh rate, 1500R curvature, HDR400 and AMD FreeSync Premium. U.S. availability and pricing for the 2026 model remain unconfirmed by the available official evidence.
What is the Xiaomi G34WQi 2026?
The Xiaomi Curved Gaming Monitor G34WQi 2026 is a 34-inch, 21:9 ultrawide gaming monitor intended for both gaming and desktop multitasking. It is the international-market version of a refreshed G34WQi design, rather than an entirely new monitor family.

The monitor is also associated with the China-market Redmi Gaming Monitor G34WQ 2026, although that relationship should be treated as a reported regional naming counterpart unless Xiaomi explicitly confirms that the models are identical.

How is it different from the earlier G34WQi?
The nearly identical product name makes the distinction important. Both models offer a 34-inch 3440×1440 ultrawide format, 180Hz refresh rate and 1500R curvature, but Xiaomi’s published specifications show several differences.

The move from 1ms MPRT to 1ms GTG should not be treated as a direct performance comparison. GTG and MPRT are different measurement methods. Likewise, the higher brightness figure and HDR400 branding are specification changes, but they do not by themselves prove better measured HDR performance.
Internal panel, chipset, firmware and regional electronics may also differ. Buyers should check the exact model code, box label and warranty documentation rather than relying on a retailer listing that only says “G34WQi.” Xiaomi’s older U.S. listing is available here.
Is it good for gaming?
On paper, the G34WQi 2026 is well suited to fast-paced PC gaming in the budget-to-midrange ultrawide category. The 3440×1440 resolution provides a wider field of view and more desktop space than a conventional 16:9 1440p display, while 180Hz allows considerably smoother motion when the graphics card can sustain high frame rates.
The VA panel should provide stronger native contrast than a typical IPS panel, which can benefit dark games and films. FreeSync Premium can help reduce tearing and stutter with compatible AMD graphics hardware and supported adaptive-sync configurations.

There are important qualifications. Xiaomi’s specifications do not establish the monitor’s real-world input lag, pixel-transition performance, overshoot or dark-level smearing. VA panels can show visible dark smearing in high-contrast motion, especially in dark games and scrolling interfaces. An independent review would be needed to judge those characteristics.

HDR400 is also an entry-level HDR capability. The 400-nit rating and HDR certification do not indicate OLED-like highlights, deep blacks or strong local-dimming performance.
What GPU and connection does it need?
Driving 3440×1440 at 180Hz requires substantially more graphics performance than driving a standard 2560×1440 monitor. Actual frame rates will depend on the game, graphics settings, upscaling technology and GPU.
- Use DisplayPort 1.4 when targeting the monitor’s maximum resolution and refresh rate.
- Use the included DisplayPort cable where possible.
- Set the operating system and GPU control panel to 3440×1440 and 180Hz.
- Use HDMI 2.0 only after checking the source device’s supported resolution and refresh combinations.
Xiaomi specifically warns that the source device and cable can prevent the maximum output mode. Consoles generally will not make full use of the 3440×1440/180Hz combination, so this is primarily a PC gaming monitor.
If 180Hz is unavailable
- Reconnect through DisplayPort.
- Try the supplied DP cable and another GPU DisplayPort.
- Install current graphics drivers.
- Choose 3440×1440 and 180Hz in the operating system display settings.
- Check the GPU control panel for a separate PC resolution list.
- Test another cable or source if the mode is still missing.
Is it suitable for work and content creation?
Yes, with reasonable expectations. The 21:9 layout is useful for side-by-side documents, wide spreadsheets, timelines and multiple application windows. At 34 inches, 3440×1440 offers a practical balance between workspace and sharpness.
Xiaomi claims 100% sRGB coverage, 95% DCI-P3 typical coverage and average ΔE<2 factory accuracy. Those claims can be useful for general design, photography and video work, but they should not be treated as independent calibration results. Xiaomi says the sRGB mode must be enabled manually through the monitor’s on-screen display, so users should not assume every colour mode has the same accuracy.
The monitor is not a professional HDR reference display. A curved VA panel may also be less suitable than a flat IPS display for work involving precise straight-line geometry. For critical colour grading, independent measurements and calibration remain essential.

HDR, colour and eye-comfort settings
HDR needs to be enabled in two places: set HDR to Auto or On in the monitor menu, then enable HDR in the computer’s display settings. The HDR400 specification alone cannot predict how impactful HDR will look.
Xiaomi also lists TÜV Rheinland low-blue-light certification and DC dimming. Low-blue-light mode must be enabled manually, and the feature should be understood as a display setting—not a medical treatment or guarantee against eye strain.
Who should consider buying it?
- Consider it if you want a large 3440×1440 ultrawide with a 180Hz refresh rate, VA contrast, adaptive sync and a height-adjustable stand.
- Consider it if you want one display for PC gaming and office multitasking.
- Look elsewhere if you need OLED-level HDR, the fastest independently measured motion handling or professional reference colour performance.
- Look elsewhere if your GPU cannot drive ultrawide 1440p at high frame rates.
- Be cautious about importing if local warranty service, easy returns and confirmed replacement support are essential.
A 34-inch IPS ultrawide may offer more consistent viewing angles and potentially cleaner motion, while a 34-inch OLED ultrawide should deliver much stronger HDR and motion performance at a higher cost. Other VA ultrawides may be preferable if they offer better local pricing, warranty support or measured performance.
Bottom line
The Xiaomi G34WQi 2026 is a genuine international-market product, with confirmed official evidence in Japan, Australia and the Philippines. Its 3440×1440 resolution, 180Hz refresh rate, VA contrast and adjustable stand make it a credible budget-to-midrange ultrawide gaming monitor.
However, “launched outside China” does not mean it is available everywhere. U.S. availability remains unconfirmed, and the Japan price should not be treated as a universal MSRP. Buyers who care about HDR quality, dark-scene motion handling, calibration or long-term support should wait for local pricing and independent testing before purchasing.
