XGIMI’s September 2024 IFA lineup ranged from compact 1080p projectors to premium home-theater models. The “starting at $399” price referred to one model: the 1080p Elfin Flip. The portable MoGo 3 Pro launched at $449, the HORIZON S Pro at $1,299 and the HORIZON S Max at $1,899; the announcement named the ultra-short-throw AURA 2 but did not state its US launch price. These are historical launch prices, not current quotes.
What XGIMI announced at IFA 2024
XGIMI’s IFA event ran September 6–10, 2024, at Messe Berlin, Hall 21, Booth 208. The company described five new home and portable projector launches: MoGo 3 Pro, Elfin Flip, AURA 2, HORIZON S Max and HORIZON S Pro. Its broader announcement also mentioned new Google TV versions of the MoGo 2 Plus and Halo+, separately from those five principal launches. Prices above are announcement-era US price signals, not a promise of current stock or pricing. In particular, $399 was not the starting price for every XGIMI projector announced at IFA.
Elfin Flip: the $399 entry point
The Elfin Flip was the lineup’s least expensive announced model. XGIMI specified 1080p resolution and 400 ISO lumens, with an integrated stand that tilts up to 150 degrees. Automatic keystone correction and screen alignment are intended to simplify setup; its two 3-watt speakers support Dolby Audio. XGIMI also listed WebOS and native Netflix support for the model. This is a compact, ordinary long-throw projector: it needs space between the projector and the image surface. It is not a 4K home-theater model, and its power should not be mistaken for an integrated battery. At 400 ISO lumens, it is better suited to a dim room than daylight viewing. Its stand and streaming features make it appealing for flexible indoor use, but they do not remove the usual constraints of projector brightness and placement.
MoGo 3 Pro: the portable choice
The MoGo 3 Pro launched at $449 on its own or $499 bundled with the PowerBase stand. XGIMI listed 1080p resolution, 450 ISO lumens, Google TV, licensed Netflix support and a weight of about 2.43 pounds. The company also highlighted USB-C power-bank support, a carrying case and lanyard, and an ambient-light mode that reacts to music. Its coffee-cup-sized description signals a compact design, not a built-in battery.

For travel, temporary setups or outdoor movie nights, the MoGo 3 Pro is the more portable of these two lower-priced models. But 450 ISO lumens is still portable-projector output, not a guarantee of a bright image in a lit room. USB-C power-bank operation depends on a suitable power source, and a PowerBase bundle is different from the base projector package. Check the exact package and regional specifications before buying. HORIZON S Pro vs. HORIZON S Max
Both HORIZON S models are home-focused 4K-class projectors with XGIMI’s Dual Light 2.0 system, which combines a tri-color laser and LED light sources. Their integrated stands allow 360-degree horizontal and 135-degree vertical adjustment, useful when placement on a conventional stand or table is not ideal.

The S Pro is the less expensive route to the S-series design, Dolby Vision and built-in audio. The S Max costs more for substantially higher claimed brightness and IMAX Enhanced certification, making it the stronger candidate when those features matter for a main living-room or media-room display. XGIMI said the S Max was 34.7% brighter than the HORIZON Ultra. Brightness and contrast figures here are manufacturer claims, not independent measurements; the dynamic-contrast ratio should not be read as a measured black-level result. AURA 2: a short-distance home-theater projector
AURA 2 is the lineup’s ultra-short-throw (UST) model. Its 0.177:1 throw ratio is designed to produce a large image from a short distance, unlike a conventional long-throw projector such as the Elfin Flip. XGIMI’s current US product information lists 2,300 ISO lumens, Dual Light 2.0, IMAX Enhanced and Dolby Vision. This makes it a home-theater option for buyers who cannot place a projector far back in the room, not a travel or casual outdoor pick.

UST placement still takes planning. The image depends on projector position, furniture height and the flatness and quality of the screen or wall; small alignment changes can matter. As of August 18, 2026, XGIMI’s US store displayed AURA 2 at $2,239 against a $2,699 comparison price. That is a dated store listing, not its verified IFA 2024 launch price. Native, licensed Netflix was a model-specific feature, not a promise that every XGIMI projector can run Netflix directly. XGIMI identifies the MoGo 3 Pro, Elfin Flip and Halo+ (New) among its 2024 models with licensed Netflix. The MoGo 3 Pro uses Google TV; the Elfin Flip’s platform is described as WebOS-based on the cited US product information. Regional versions and software can differ, so check the exact model and market. XGIMI’s Netflix compatibility overview lists its supported models. If a model does not have the streaming app you need, an external streaming device may be an option, subject to that projector’s inputs and compatibility.

Are the IFA 2024 models still worth considering in 2026?
The IFA lineup remains useful as a way to compare XGIMI’s product types, but its launch prices should not be treated as current deals. As of August 18, 2026, the US store prominently listed later products including the MoGo 4 at a displayed $399 sale price, MoGo 2 Pro (New) at $299 and Elfin Flip Plus at $379. Those are current store signals for different products, not evidence that the 2024 models still cost the same or remain available. Promotions and stock can change; check the store before purchasing.
If you are comparing an older IFA model with a newer listing, decide first what matters: portability, built-in battery, brightness, streaming platform, throw distance or price. For example, the MoGo 3 Pro’s USB-C power-bank support is not equivalent to a later projector with an integrated battery. Likewise, a newer model name such as Elfin Flip Plus or MoGo 4 does not mean it is the same product as Elfin Flip or MoGo 3 Pro. Confirm specifications, included accessories, warranty and app support for the precise regional SKU.
Across all five main launches, treat lumen ratings as a guide rather than a promise of TV-like performance in daylight. Curtains, a darker room and an appropriate screen can make a meaningful difference. Automatic keystone correction and screen alignment improve convenience, but aggressive correction or extreme off-axis placement may affect the image; for best results, position the projector squarely where possible. For gaming, check the exact model’s input latency, resolution and refresh behavior instead of inferring performance from a 4K label or brightness figure.

- Lowest announced IFA price: Elfin Flip, for a compact indoor 1080p projector at the historical $399 entry point.
- Most portable of the five: MoGo 3 Pro, if Google TV, licensed Netflix and USB-C power-bank support suit your setup.
- Lower-cost S-series home choice: HORIZON S Pro, for Dolby Vision, flexible stand positioning and built-in speakers.
- Brighter S-series choice: HORIZON S Max, if its higher claimed brightness and premium format support justify the price premium.
- Short-distance home theater: AURA 2, if your room and screen can accommodate a UST installation.
Those are distinctions among the 2024 announcement models, not a claim that they are the best-value choices in 2026. Check current availability and pricing before making a purchase.
