WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event took place on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida. The televised special began at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on NBC and streamed in the United States on Peacock.
This is retrospective coverage: the prediction section records the pre-event picks, while the clearly marked results section reports what actually happened.

WWE positioned the show as part of its Memorial Day weekend Tampa takeover. The Yuengling Center hosted four consecutive WWE events from May 24 through May 27: Saturday Night’s Main Event, Battleground, Raw and NXT. WWE’s announcement confirmed the event series and its NBC/Peacock distribution.
Was it a premium live event?
In the United States, Saturday Night’s Main Event was best described as a televised NBC primetime special that was also streamed on Peacock. It was not simply a regular weekly episode, but it also was not a traditional U.S. pay-per-view requiring a separate event purchase. The U.S. WWE Network was not the relevant distribution option for this show; Peacock was.

Initially announced match card
The first widely reported card contained four matches, according to NBC Sports’ May 21 preview:
- Jey Uso vs. Logan Paul — World Heavyweight Championship
- CM Punk and Sami Zayn vs. Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker
- John Cena vs. R-Truth — non-title match
- Damian Priest vs. Drew McIntyre — Steel Cage Match
Final-card addition
Women’s United States Champion Zelina Vega vs. Chelsea Green was not included in that earlier four-match preview, but it appeared on WWE’s final event results page and should be included in the definitive card. As with any WWE event, the announced lineup remained subject to change, and WWE did not establish a definitive match order in the supplied announcements.

Jey Uso vs. Logan Paul — World Heavyweight Championship
Jey Uso’s World Heavyweight Championship was on the line against Logan Paul. Paul had established himself as a credible crossover performer who could make a title match feel dangerous, but an immediate championship reign would have disrupted Jey’s early run as a major, audience-backed babyface.
The contemporary storyline also pointed toward the winner defending against Gunther on the June 9 episode of Raw. That made a Jey-Gunther continuation more natural than an immediate Paul title reign.

Prediction: Jey Uso retains.
CM Punk and Sami Zayn vs. Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker
This match centered on the dangerous alliance between Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker. A win would help establish the pairing as a serious faction and give Punk a clear reason to continue pursuing them afterward. Sami Zayn provided an experienced partner for Punk, but the unpredictable variable was the possibility of outside involvement, particularly from Paul Heyman or another wrestler connected to the rivalry.
Prediction: Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker win.
John Cena vs. R-Truth
John Cena was the Undisputed WWE Champion, but that championship was not at stake here. WWE officially presented Cena versus R-Truth as a non-title match, built around Cena’s antagonistic “ruin wrestling” persona and Truth’s long-standing admiration for him. WWE’s match announcement established the storyline and non-title context.
The format allowed Truth to receive meaningful offense without putting the championship on the line. It also left room for interference, an underhanded finish or an emotional post-match moment rather than a straightforward showcase.
Prediction: John Cena wins, although interference or a controversial finish was plausible.
Damian Priest vs. Drew McIntyre — Steel Cage Match
Priest and McIntyre carried forward animosity connected to their WrestleMania and Backlash-related rivalry. The Steel Cage stipulation was intended to limit outside interference while making the contest more intense. It could settle the immediate score without necessarily ending the feud permanently.

This later-added title match gave Chelsea Green a chance to regain the championship from Zelina Vega. Vega’s status as champion made a retention the safer prediction, while Green’s character and ringside allies could continue to matter even without another title change.
Prediction: Zelina Vega retains.
How to watch in the United States
NBC
U.S. viewers with access to their local NBC affiliate could watch the broadcast at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT without signing up for a separate streaming service. Local availability depended on the viewer’s market and television provider.
Peacock
Peacock carried the U.S. livestream and offered the event through its WWE programming. NBC Sports listed Peacock Premium at $7.99 per month in its May 21, 2025 preview. That was the historically relevant price for viewers deciding how to watch the event at the time; it should not be treated as Peacock’s current price.
Peacock’s WWE page currently displays different plan pricing, including Premium at $10.99 per month and Premium Plus at $16.99 per month. Check the official Peacock WWE page for current availability and pricing. A viewer interested only in one older event should also consider whether an existing subscription or the NBC broadcast makes a new subscription worthwhile.

Replay viewing
The event was subsequently listed in Peacock’s Saturday Night’s Main Event season archive, confirming an on-demand episode listing. Availability and access can change, so viewers should check the current Peacock listing rather than assume that every historical event remains available indefinitely.

There was no single universal international broadcaster that applied to every country. WWE’s promotional and results pages referenced services and networks including Netflix, USA Network, The CW and Sony India, but those references do not establish one worldwide May 2025 streaming home.
International viewers should use WWE’s Where to Watch guide and check the local WWE broadcaster for their country. Do not assume that a U.S. Peacock subscription, Netflix, YouTube or the standalone WWE Network was available for this event in every territory.

- Zelina Vega defeated Chelsea Green to retain the Women’s United States Championship.
- John Cena defeated R-Truth in the non-title match.
- Damian Priest defeated Drew McIntyre in the Steel Cage Match.
- Jey Uso defeated Logan Paul to retain the World Heavyweight Championship.
The headline match ended with major storyline involvement: Cody Rhodes returned and countered John Cena’s interference, helping preserve Jey Uso’s championship reign.

Saturday Night’s Main Event combined several important WWE storylines in one broadcast. Jey Uso’s title defense tested the direction of his early World Heavyweight Championship reign while keeping Logan Paul credible as a high-profile challenger. Cena’s match with R-Truth advanced Cena’s villainous character work without risking the Undisputed WWE Championship.
The Punk-Zayn versus Rollins-Breakker match helped develop Rollins and Breakker’s alliance. Priest and McIntyre received a more intense chapter in their feud through the Steel Cage stipulation. Finally, Cody Rhodes’ return gave the show a significant development beyond the advertised match outcomes.
