Windows 11에는 모든 오디오 설정을 한 번에 공장 초기화하는 버튼이 없습니다. 대신 출력 장치 확인, 오디오 문제 해결사, Windows Audio 서비스 재시작, 오디오 향상 기능 해제, 드라이버 복구 순서로 진행하면 파일을 삭제하거나 Windows 전체를 초기화하지 않고 문제를 해결할 수 있습니다.
먼저 확인할 것
- 설정 > 시스템 > 소리를 엽니다.
- 출력에서 실제로 사용할 스피커, 헤드폰, HDMI 모니터 또는 Bluetooth 장치를 선택합니다.
- 볼륨이 0이거나 음소거되어 있지 않은지 확인합니다.
- Bluetooth 기기는 연결 상태와 배터리를 확인하고, HDMI를 사용한다면 모니터가 출력 장치로 선택됐는지 확인합니다.
- 다른 앱에서도 소리가 나지 않는지 테스트합니다.
특정 장치만 문제가 있는지 확인하려면 유선 헤드폰, USB 헤드셋 또는 다른 스피커로 교차 테스트하세요.
1. Get Help 오디오 문제 해결사 실행
Microsoft의 현재 Windows 11 안내는 Get Help 앱을 통한 문제 해결사 실행입니다. Get Help를 열고 검색창에 audio troubleshooter 또는 오디오 문제 해결사를 입력한 뒤 진단을 실행하세요. 표시되는 수정 사항을 적용한 다음 소리를 테스트합니다.

2. Windows 오디오 서비스 재시작
갑자기 소리가 사라졌거나 오디오 서비스가 응답하지 않을 때 가장 먼저 시도할 수 있는 재설정 방법입니다.
Win + R을 누릅니다.services.msc를 입력하고 Enter를 누릅니다.- Windows Audio를 마우스 오른쪽 버튼으로 클릭하고 다시 시작을 선택합니다.
- Windows Audio Endpoint Builder에도 같은 작업을 합니다.
- 서비스가 중지되어 있다면 시작을 선택합니다.
- 음악이나 시스템 알림음을 재생해 확인합니다.
Remote Procedure Call (RPC)도 오디오 작동과 관련될 수 있으므로 실행 중인지 확인할 수 있습니다. 다만 서비스의 로그온 계정, 종속성 또는 레지스트리를 임의로 변경하지 마세요. 서비스 설정이 꼬이면 다른 Windows 기능에도 문제가 생길 수 있습니다. 자세한 기본 절차는 Microsoft의 오디오 문제 해결 안내에서 확인할 수 있습니다.
3. 오디오 향상 기능 끄기
소리가 지직거리거나 왜곡되고 끊기는 경우 오디오 향상 기능이 원인일 수 있습니다.

- 설정 > 시스템 > 소리를 엽니다.
- 출력에서 현재 장치를 선택합니다.
- 오디오 향상을 찾아 끔으로 변경합니다.
- 소리를 다시 테스트합니다.
이 기능을 끄면 제조업체의 가상 서라운드, 음량 보정 또는 이퀄라이저 효과가 사라질 수 있습니다. 문제가 해결되지 않으면 원래 설정으로 되돌려도 됩니다.
4. 기본 오디오 형식 변경
- 설정 > 시스템 > 소리에서 출력 장치를 선택합니다.
- 고급 항목을 엽니다.
- 기본 형식에서 다른 형식을 선택합니다.
- 재생을 테스트합니다.
표시되는 형식 목록은 장치와 드라이버에 따라 다릅니다. 한 형식이 작동하지 않으면 다른 형식을 시험하고, 변화가 없으면 원래 형식으로 되돌리세요.
5. 오디오 드라이버 업데이트
- 시작 메뉴에서 장치 관리자를 검색해 엽니다.
- 사운드, 비디오 및 게임 컨트롤러를 확장합니다.
- 오디오 장치를 마우스 오른쪽 버튼으로 클릭합니다.
- 드라이버 업데이트를 선택하고 Windows의 검색 옵션을 실행합니다.
- 완료되면 PC를 다시 시작합니다.
장치 이름은 PC마다 다릅니다. Realtek Audio, High Definition Audio Device, Intel·AMD·NVIDIA HDMI 오디오 등으로 표시될 수 있습니다.

6. 드라이버 제거 후 재설치
업데이트로 해결되지 않거나 드라이버가 손상된 경우에만 진행하세요. 먼저 노트북, PC 또는 메인보드 제조업체의 공식 지원 페이지에서 해당 모델용 Windows 11 오디오 드라이버를 확보하는 것이 안전합니다.

- 장치 관리자에서 오디오 장치를 찾습니다.
- 마우스 오른쪽 버튼으로 클릭하고 디바이스 제거를 선택합니다.
- 드라이버 삭제 확인란이 표시되면 내용을 확인한 뒤 신중하게 선택합니다.
- PC를 다시 시작합니다.
- Windows가 장치를 다시 인식하는지 확인합니다.
- 문제가 계속되면 제조업체 공식 드라이버를 설치합니다.
Windows가 항상 올바른 제조업체 드라이버를 자동으로 설치하는 것은 아닙니다. 일반 드라이버로 소리가 나더라도 Dolby, DTS, Realtek 콘솔, 마이크 효과 또는 노트북 단축키 같은 OEM 기능이 빠질 수 있습니다.

“오디오 출력 장치가 설치되지 않음”
장치 관리자에 오디오 장치가 보이는지 확인하세요. 장치가 없거나 경고 아이콘이 있다면 드라이버 손상, Windows 업데이트 이후 인식 오류, 연결 문제 또는 하드웨어 고장을 의심할 수 있습니다. 제조업체 드라이버를 설치하고, 필요하면 숨겨진 장치 표시를 확인하세요. 내장 오디오가 BIOS에서 비활성화됐을 가능성도 있지만, BIOS 진입 키와 메뉴 이름은 제조업체마다 다르므로 공식 설명서를 사용해야 합니다.

특정 앱에서만 소리가 나지 않음
Windows 전체가 아니라 앱별 음량이나 출력 장치가 잘못 지정됐을 수 있습니다. 앱의 자체 음량, 게임·브라우저·통신 앱의 스피커 설정, Windows의 앱별 출력 설정을 확인하세요.

Bluetooth 헤드폰만 작동하지 않음
Bluetooth 연결, 배터리, 기본 출력 장치를 확인하세요. 헤드폰이 통화용 프로필로 전환됐거나 다른 기기에 연결됐을 수도 있습니다. 문제가 계속되면 Windows에서 Bluetooth 장치를 제거한 뒤 다시 페어링하세요.
업데이트 직후 문제가 발생함
먼저 PC를 다시 시작하고 장치 관리자에서 드라이버 상태를 확인합니다. Windows 업데이트 기록과 제조업체의 최신 오디오 드라이버도 확인하세요. 특정 업데이트와 문제가 명확히 연결된 경우에만 데이터를 백업한 뒤 업데이트 복구를 고려하세요. 업데이트 제거는 일반적인 첫 번째 오디오 재설정 단계가 아닙니다.
그래도 해결되지 않을 때
서비스 재시작, 오디오 설정 변경, 드라이버 복구 후에도 문제가 지속되면 다른 헤드폰·USB 오디오 장치·HDMI 장치로 교차 테스트하세요. 모든 출력 장치가 작동하지 않으면 Windows 구성이나 메인보드 문제일 수 있고, 특정 장치만 작동하지 않으면 해당 장치나 연결부의 문제일 가능성이 큽니다.
BIOS에서 내장 오디오를 확인해야 한다면 모델별 제조업체 안내를 따르세요. BIOS 설정을 무작정 변경하거나 레지스트리 클리너, 드라이버 자동 설치 프로그램, 유료 PC 수리 도구를 먼저 사용할 필요는 없습니다. 오디오 문제 하나 때문에 이 PC 초기화나 Windows 재설치를 시작하는 것도 권장하지 않습니다.
