WhatsApp Web વાપરવા માટે તમારા કમ્પ્યુટરના બ્રાઉઝરમાં web.whatsapp.com ખોલો અને ફોનની WhatsApp એપમાં Linked devices → Link a device પસંદ કરીને દેખાતો QR code સ્કેન કરો. ત્યાર પછી બ્રાઉઝરમાંથી ચેટ કરી, ફાઇલો મોકલી અને સંદેશા શોધી શકો છો. સામાન્ય ઉપયોગ માટે ફોન સતત ઑનલાઇન રહેવાની જૂની આવશ્યકતા હવે લાગુ પડતી નથી; ફોનથી શરૂઆતનું linking અને linked devicesનું સંચાલન કરવું પડે છે.

શરૂઆત પહેલાં શું જોઈએ?
- Android ફોન અથવા iPhone પર સક્રિય WhatsApp એકાઉન્ટ.
- ફોનમાં WhatsAppનું તાજું ઉપલબ્ધ સંસ્કરણ અને કમ્પ્યુટરમાં અપડેટેડ, સપોર્ટેડ બ્રાઉઝર.
- ફોન અને કમ્પ્યુટર બંને માટે ઇન્ટરનેટ કનેક્શન.
- QR code સ્કેન કરવા માટે કાર્યરત ફોન કૅમેરો.
બ્રાઉઝરની ચોક્કસ ન્યૂનતમ આવૃત્તિ બદલાઈ શકે છે; જૂની કે અચકાસેલી version-list પર આધાર રાખવાને બદલે અપડેટેડ બ્રાઉઝર વાપરો. કૉલિંગ ઉપલબ્ધ હોય તો માઇક્રોફોન, કૅમેરા અને પૂરતું નેટવર્ક પણ જરૂરી થઈ શકે છે.
QR codeથી WhatsApp Webમાં લૉગિન કરો
કમ્પ્યુટર પર
- બ્રાઉઝરમાં web.whatsapp.com ખોલો.
- લૉગિન પેજ પર QR code દેખાય ત્યાં સુધી રાહ જુઓ.
Android ફોન પર
- WhatsApp ખોલો અને ઉપર જમણી બાજુના ત્રણ ડૉટ્સ પર ટૅપ કરો.
- Linked devices પસંદ કરો.
- Link a device પસંદ કરો. ફોન અનલૉક કરવા અથવા ઓળખ ચકાસવા કહે તો તે પૂર્ણ કરો.
- ફોનનો કૅમેરો કમ્પ્યુટર સ્ક્રીન પરના QR code તરફ રાખો.
iPhone પર
- WhatsApp ખોલીને Settings પર જાઓ.
- Linked Devices પસંદ કરો.
- Link a Device પસંદ કરીને જરૂર પડે તો Face ID, Touch ID અથવા passcodeથી ઓળખ ચકાસો.
- કમ્પ્યુટર પર દેખાતો QR code સ્કેન કરો.
મેનુના નામ WhatsAppના સંસ્કરણ અથવા ફોનની ભાષા પ્રમાણે થોડાં બદલાઈ શકે છે. સફળ link પછી બ્રાઉઝરમાં ચેટ્સ લોડ થશે. જો લોડ થવામાં સમય લાગે, તો બંને ડિવાઇસનું ઇન્ટરનેટ તપાસો અને થોડો સમય આપો.

લૉગિન પેજ પર ફોન નંબરનો વિકલ્પ હોય તો
કેટલાક વપરાશકર્તાઓને લૉગિન સ્ક્રીન પર ફોન નંબરથી આગળ વધવાનો વિકલ્પ દેખાઈ શકે છે. તે દરેક એકાઉન્ટ કે સ્થિતિમાં ઉપલબ્ધ હશે એવું માનશો નહીં. વિકલ્પ દેખાય તો સ્ક્રીન પરની ચકાસણી પ્રક્રિયા અનુસરો; ન દેખાય તો QR codeથી link કરો.
WhatsApp Webમાં શું કરી શકાય?
- ચેટ અને ગ્રુપ: સંદેશા લખો, જવાબ આપો, ફોરવર્ડ કરો, કૉપી કરો અથવા ઉપલબ્ધ નિયંત્રણો વડે ડિલીટ કરો. ઇમોજી, GIF, સ્ટિકર અને રિએક્શન પણ વાપરી શકો છો.
- ફાઇલો અને મીડિયા: ફોટા, વીડિયો અને દસ્તાવેજ મોકલો અથવા મળેલી ફાઇલો ડાઉનલોડ કરો. ડાઉનલોડ ક્યાં સંગ્રહાય છે તે બ્રાઉઝરની download settings પર આધારિત છે. અજાણી ફાઇલ ખોલતાં પહેલાં સાવચેતી રાખો.
- શોધ અને ગોઠવણી: search boxથી સંપર્ક, ચેટ અથવા શબ્દ શોધો. ઉપલબ્ધ વિકલ્પો પ્રમાણે ચેટ pin, mute અથવા archive કરો અને સંદેશો star કરો.
- વૉઇસ મેસેજ: બ્રાઉઝરને માઇક્રોફોનની પરવાનગી આપેલી હોય તો વૉઇસ મેસેજ રેકોર્ડ કરી શકો છો.
- પ્રોફાઇલ અને સૂચનાઓ: કેટલીક પ્રોફાઇલ વિગતો અને desktop notifications સંચાલિત કરી શકો છો. ફોનની દરેક સેટિંગ બ્રાઉઝરમાં મળશે એવું નથી.
Web કૉલિંગ અને screen sharing
Metaની જુલાઈ 2026ની જાહેરાત મુજબ WhatsApp Web પર વ્યક્તિગત અને ગ્રુપ ઑડિયો/વીડિયો કૉલ, screen sharing, reactions અને Calls tab સહિતની સુવિધાઓનો રોલઆઉટ થઈ રહ્યો છે. સુવિધા તમારા એકાઉન્ટ અથવા બ્રાઉઝરમાં દેખાય તો કૉલ શરૂ કરો અને બ્રાઉઝરની microphone તથા camera permissions મંજૂર કરો. કૉલ ન દેખાય તો તેનો અર્થ તમારા એકાઉન્ટમાં તે હજી ઉપલબ્ધ નથી એવો હોઈ શકે છે; WhatsApp Desktop અજમાવવું વિકલ્પ છે.
કૉલમાં અવાજ કે વીડિયો ન ચાલે તો બ્રાઉઝર અને કમ્પ્યુટરની privacy settingsમાં માઇક્રોફોન/કૅમેરાની પરવાનગી તપાસો, સાચો headset પસંદ કરો અને તે જ ઉપકરણ વાપરતી બીજી એપ બંધ કરો. ઓફિસ અથવા શાળાનું નિયંત્રિત નેટવર્ક કૉલ અટકાવી શકે છે.

ફોન ઑફલાઇન હોય તો WhatsApp Web ચાલે?
હાલની multi-device વ્યવસ્થામાં સામાન્ય વપરાશ માટે ફોન સતત ઑનલાઇન રહેવાની જૂની શરત લાગુ પડતી નથી. Metaના multi-device તકનીકી વર્ણન મુજબ linked companion devices સ્વતંત્ર રીતે કનેક્ટ થઈ શકે છે. આથી ફોનનો ઇન્ટરનેટ થોડા સમય માટે બંધ હોય ત્યારે પણ linked browser કામ કરતો રહી શકે છે.
પરંતુ ફોન બિનજરૂરી બની ગયો છે એવું નથી. શરૂઆતનું linking, એકાઉન્ટની સુરક્ષા અને linked devicesનું સંચાલન ફોનથી થાય છે. લાંબા સમય સુધી મુખ્ય ફોન વપરાતો ન હોય, એકાઉન્ટની ચકાસણી જરૂરી બને અથવા સુરક્ષા સંબંધિત ફેરફાર થાય તો વર્તન બદલાઈ શકે છે. નેટવર્ક, બ્રાઉઝરની સ્થિતિ અને WhatsAppની સેવા પણ અસર કરે છે.
Linked devices તપાસો અને WhatsApp Webમાંથી લૉગઆઉટ કરો
ફોનમાંથી ડિવાઇસ કાઢી નાખવું
- Android: WhatsApp → ત્રણ ડૉટ્સ → Linked devices.
- iPhone: WhatsApp → Settings → Linked Devices.
યાદીમાં કયા કમ્પ્યુટર અથવા બ્રાઉઝર જોડાયેલા છે અને છેલ્લી activity શું છે તે જુઓ. જૂનું અથવા અજાણ્યું session પસંદ કરીને Log out કરો. જોડાઈ શકે તેવાં companion devicesની ચોક્કસ મર્યાદા બદલાઈ શકે છે; તમારા ફોનની Linked devices સ્ક્રીન પરની હાલની સ્થિતિને આધાર માનો.

બ્રાઉઝરમાંથી લૉગઆઉટ
WhatsApp Webમાં menu અથવા profile વિસ્તાર ખોલીને Log out પસંદ કરો. ખાસ કરીને જાહેર કે શેર કરેલા કમ્પ્યુટર પર કામ પૂરું થયા પછી આ પગલું લો. ફક્ત ટૅબ બંધ કરી દેવાથી session ચોક્કસ સમાપ્ત થઈ ગયું છે એવું માનશો નહીં. જાહેર કમ્પ્યુટર વાપર્યું હોય તો ફોનની Linked devices યાદીમાં જઈને તે session પણ દૂર કરો.
WhatsApp Web સુરક્ષિત રીતે વાપરવાની ટિપ્સ
- સરનામું તપાસો: સાચું domain
web.whatsapp.comછે. અજાણ્યા domain પર QR code સ્કેન ન કરો. - જાહેર કમ્પ્યુટર ટાળો: શક્ય હોય તો library, hotel અથવા અજાણ્યા શેર કરેલા કમ્પ્યુટર પર લૉગિન ન કરો. કરવું પડે તો પછી બ્રાઉઝરમાંથી અને ફોનની Linked devices યાદીમાંથી લૉગઆઉટ કરો.
- સૂચનાઓમાં privacy રાખો: સંદેશાના preview બીજા લોકો જોઈ શકે છે. જરૂર ન હોય તો browser notifications બંધ કરો અથવા ઑપરેટિંગ સિસ્ટમમાં preview છુપાવો.
- Extensions તપાસો: અજાણી browser extensionને પેજની સામગ્રી વાંચવાની પરવાનગી હોઈ શકે છે. publisher અને permissions તપાસ્યા વિના તેને ઇન્સ્ટોલ ન કરો.
- અલગ browser profile વિચારો: કામ અને વ્યક્તિગત ઉપયોગ માટે અલગ profiles રાખવાથી સત્રો, notifications અને bookmarks ગૂંચવાતા નથી.
- બૅકઅપ સમજીને ન વાપરો: Web એ linked access છે; બ્રાઉઝરમાં ચેટ દેખાવાથી સ્વતંત્ર બૅકઅપ બનતું નથી.
End-to-end encryption સંદેશાવ્યવહારની સુરક્ષાનો એક ભાગ છે; તે જાહેર કમ્પ્યુટર, ખુલ્લું રહી ગયેલું session, malware અથવા ખભા પરથી સ્ક્રીન જોતા વ્યક્તિથી બચાવતું નથી.

QR code સ્કેન થતો નથી
- URL બરાબર
web.whatsapp.comછે તેની ખાતરી કરો. - જૂનો અથવા અટકી ગયેલો QR code હોય તો પેજ refresh કરો.
- ફોનનો કૅમેરા લેન્સ સાફ કરો, સ્ક્રીનની brightness વધારો અને ફોનને યોગ્ય અંતરે રાખો.
- WhatsApp અને બ્રાઉઝર અપડેટ કરો. Private/incognito windowને બદલે સામાન્ય બ્રાઉઝર વિન્ડો અજમાવો.
- Cookies અથવા site permissions બ્લૉક થતી હોય તો WhatsApp Web માટે જરૂરી પરવાનગીઓ મંજૂર કરો.
- VPN, કડક ad-blocker અથવા privacy extensionને થોડા સમય માટે બંધ કરીને તપાસો.
- ફોનની Linked devices યાદીમાંથી બિનજરૂરી જૂનાં sessions કાઢો અને ફરી પ્રયાસ કરો.
- બીજું નેટવર્ક અજમાવો; જરૂર પડે તો ફોન અને બ્રાઉઝર ફરી શરૂ કરો.
QR code દેખાતો જ નથી અથવા પેજ લોડ થતું નથી
બીજા અપડેટેડ બ્રાઉઝરમાં પેજ ખોલો અને બ્રાઉઝરની cache/site data સાફ કરીને ફરી પ્રયાસ કરો. કાર્યસ્થળ અથવા શાળાનું નેટવર્ક WhatsApp Webને રોકતું હોઈ શકે છે; જુદા નેટવર્ક પર ચકાસો. સેવામાં તાત્કાલિક ખામી હોય તો થોડા સમય પછી ફરી પ્રયાસ કરવો પડી શકે છે.

સ્કેન પછી લૉગિન નિષ્ફળ જાય અથવા session તૂટી જાય
ફોન અને કમ્પ્યુટરનું ઇન્ટરનેટ તપાસો; WhatsApp અને બ્રાઉઝર અપડેટ કરો; બ્રાઉઝર reload કરો. અતિશય privacy settings, VPN, security software અથવા પ્રતિબંધિત નેટવર્ક પણ કારણ બની શકે છે. ફોનમાં Linked devices ખોલીને session હજી સક્રિય છે કે નહીં જુઓ; જરૂર પડે તો logout કરીને ફરી link કરો.
સંદેશા sync થતા નથી
બંને ઉપકરણોનું નેટવર્ક તપાસો, બ્રાઉઝર પેજ reload કરો અને ફોનની Linked devices યાદીમાં session સક્રિય છે તેની ખાતરી કરો. સમસ્યા ચાલુ રહે તો બંને ઉપકરણો અપડેટ કર્યા પછી session કાઢીને ફરી link કરો.
Desktop notifications મળતા નથી
બ્રાઉઝરની site notification permission, કમ્પ્યુટરની Do Not Disturb સેટિંગ, muted tab અથવા browser profile અને ફોનની WhatsApp notification settings તપાસો. કમ્પ્યુટર sleep modeમાં હોય અથવા battery saver background activity મર્યાદિત કરતો હોય તો સૂચનાઓ અટકી શકે છે.
કૉલનો વિકલ્પ દેખાતો નથી
Web callingનું રોલઆઉટ ધીમે ધીમે થઈ રહ્યું છે; તમારા એકાઉન્ટ, વિસ્તાર અથવા બ્રાઉઝરમાં તે હજી ઉપલબ્ધ ન હોય શકે. WhatsApp Desktop અજમાવો. વિકલ્પ દેખાય છતાં કૉલ ન ચાલે તો browser તથા operating systemની camera/microphone permissions અને નેટવર્ક તપાસો.
WhatsApp Business અને Web
WhatsApp Business App વાપરતા હો તો ફોનમાં દેખાતા linked-device વિકલ્પથી બ્રાઉઝર જોડવાનો પ્રયાસ કરી શકાય છે. જોકે સામાન્ય linked-device accessને WhatsApp Business Platform/API અથવા બહુ-એજન્ટ ગ્રાહક-સેવા વ્યવસ્થા સમજી ન લેવી: આ જુદા ઉપયોગ અને ક્ષમતાઓ છે. એકથી વધુ કર્મચારીઓ માટે કામ ગોઠવતા પહેલાં Business Appની હાલની device મર્યાદા અને પોતાની ટીમની જરૂરિયાત તપાસો. અનધિકૃત browser automation અથવા અજાણી extensions પર ગ્રાહક સંદેશા આધારિત રાખવાથી privacy અને એકાઉન્ટ જોખમ ઊભું થઈ શકે છે.
