The REDMAGIC 11 Pro is the best phone for playing Genshin Impact if sustained gaming performance is your priority. Its active fan and liquid-cooling system are built for long, demanding sessions. For a better all-round phone, choose the iPhone 17 Pro Max for iOS or the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra for Android. A powerful chip matters, but cooling, storage, and comfort can matter just as much once a session runs long.

HoYoverse’s supported-device information gives minimum compatibility thresholds, including Android 10 with Snapdragon 660/Adreno 512 or Helio G88/Mali-G52-class hardware and at least 4GB of RAM, and iPhone 8 Plus or iPhone X and later with an A11 chip or newer and iOS 14 or later. These are not recommendations for high graphics settings, steady frame rates, or comfortable long sessions. Meeting them does not guarantee smooth 60-FPS-class play.

HoYoverse has also previewed Version 7.0 device requirements and warned that devices below requirements may have installation, startup, display, freezing or other technical problems. Requirements can evolve as the game changes, so a new phone with more performance headroom is a safer choice than one that only barely meets today’s baseline. See the Version 7.0 device notice.
For a new premium phone, treat 256GB as the practical minimum; choose 512GB if you also keep several large games, emulators, photos or videos. Avoid choosing 128GB for heavy gaming unless your other storage needs are unusually light. The game’s installed size varies with updates, language voice packs and cached data, and updates can need temporary free space, so there is no permanent exact-size figure to rely on.
Why the fastest chip is not always the best Genshin phone
Genshin Impact places a sustained load on a phone. A strong processor and GPU help, but a short benchmark or a high peak score does not reveal how well a device performs after it heats up. The useful questions are whether frame rates stay stable after 15, 30 and 60 minutes, how hot the phone becomes, how quickly it drains its battery, and whether it remains comfortable to hold.

- Cooling: Heat can cause a phone to reduce performance. Active cooling can help a gaming phone sustain demanding play, though it brings its own compromises.
- Graphics settings: Maximum visual quality can increase heat and battery drain. A stable lower preset is often better than starting at maximum and suffering slowdowns later.
- Battery and charging: Screen brightness, frame rate, resolution, mobile signal and heat all affect play time. A large battery alone does not guarantee longer sessions.
- Storage and memory: Free space and enough headroom for updates matter. Background apps can also compete for memory and resources.
- Comfort: A large display helps with visibility but adds weight and can tire your hands. Touch controls can cover part of the view.
There are no independent, like-for-like long-session measurements in the evidence available for these three phones, so this comparison does not claim a measured frame rate, temperature or battery drain. REDMAGIC says the 11 Pro can run Genshin Impact for two hours at 60 FPS on maximum settings and highest resolution; that is the company’s test claim, not a guarantee for every player, scene, software version or room temperature.

REDMAGIC 11 Pro: best for sustained Genshin performance
The REDMAGIC 11 Pro is the clearest pick if gaming is the main reason you are buying a phone. Its Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 is paired with a gaming-focused system that includes a built-in high-speed fan, liquid cooling, physical gaming controls and a display specified for up to 144Hz. REDMAGIC describes its cooling setup as including liquid metal, a large vapor chamber and a 24,000-RPM fan. These are manufacturer specifications; the company’s product page also contains its Genshin performance claim.
The fan and cooling system are intended to help the phone handle long, demanding play better than a conventional passively cooled phone. But active cooling is a trade-off, not a free upgrade: the fan can be audible, draws power, and takes in air that may bring dust over time. The gaming styling may not suit everyone, and buyers should not assume its camera system, software polish, water resistance, warranty or repair support matches a mainstream Apple or Samsung flagship. Check the exact US model, stock, warranty and return terms before ordering.
Buy it if: you regularly play for an hour or more, want gaming controls, and value sustained performance over camera quality or a discreet design. Look elsewhere if: you want one phone to excel equally at photography, customer support, quiet operation and everyday software.

iPhone 17 Pro Max: best iPhone for Genshin
The iPhone 17 Pro Max is the best choice for players who want a premium iPhone that handles demanding games alongside photography, video and Apple’s ecosystem. Apple lists an A19 Pro chip, a 6.9-inch OLED display with adaptive refresh rates up to 120Hz, and storage options from 256GB to 2TB. It starts at $1,199 in the US. It makes particular sense if you already use an iPhone, iCloud, AirPods or Apple Watch, or if you want a strong camera system and polished general-purpose phone as well as gaming. Its disadvantages for dedicated play are its high price, large size, weight and lack of a built-in fan. Apple’s up-to-39-hour video-playback figure is not a measurement of Genshin battery life, and should not be used to predict gaming endurance.
Buy it if: you want the best iOS option and value the full phone experience as much as gaming. Choose REDMAGIC instead if extended gaming sessions and cooling are the priority.
Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra: best Android all-rounder
The Galaxy S26 Ultra is the strongest fit for someone who wants an Android flagship for gaming, photography, media and productivity. Samsung lists a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy, a 6.9-inch display, and 256GB, 512GB and 1TB storage options. The US unlocked 256GB model starts at $1,299.99. Compared with REDMAGIC, the Samsung is the more versatile everyday phone, with a mainstream software and service ecosystem, strong cameras and S Pen support. It costs more and does not include a built-in fan or physical gaming triggers. Its display refresh rate, like that of the iPhone and REDMAGIC, does not guarantee that Genshin will render at that same frame rate.

Buy it if: you want one polished Android phone for gaming and everything else. Choose REDMAGIC instead if cooling and gaming-specific hardware matter more than cameras, productivity features and mainstream support.
Which phone is best for you?
- Maximum sustained Genshin performance: REDMAGIC 11 Pro, because it is designed around active cooling and gaming controls. Its performance claims are manufacturer claims, not universal guarantees.

What specifications should you check?
Chip and graphics
The processor and GPU determine how much work the phone can do, but the chip name alone does not settle how well Genshin runs. Game optimization, operating-system behavior and cooling affect real play. Synthetic benchmark results are useful context, not proof of stable in-game performance.
Cooling and sustained performance
Dedicated gaming phones use active fans and other heat-management hardware; conventional flagships generally rely on passive cooling. Active cooling can help under sustained load but may mean more noise, bulk and dust exposure. If reviewing performance claims, look for frame-rate stability, surface temperatures and battery drain over 15-, 30- and 60-minute sessions—not just a brief benchmark.
Display refresh rate and frame rate
A 144Hz or 120Hz panel does not mean Genshin will run at 144 or 120 FPS. Refresh rate is how often the screen can update; frame rate is how many frames the game renders. The game’s available settings, device support, software and thermal state determine actual output. A high-refresh screen can still make menus and supported content feel smoother and can help touch responsiveness.

Battery, charging and accessories
Long 3D gaming sessions can drain any phone quickly. Check battery capacity, charging behavior and whether the manufacturer supports power passthrough or charge separation before planning to play while plugged in. A clip-on semiconductor cooler can help an existing phone manage heat, but it adds bulk, may interfere with wireless charging, needs a suitable contact surface, and can cause condensation in humid conditions. It cannot fix a weak chipset or poor optimization. A controller or grip can reduce hand strain, though it adds another item to carry.
Size, weight and ergonomics
A big display can make the game easier to see, but large, heavy phones can tire your wrists. The iPhone 17 Pro Max weighs 233g, and both it and the Galaxy S26 Ultra have 6.9-inch displays. Consider trying a large phone in hand before buying; a smaller model may be more comfortable and portable even if it has less battery capacity.
Software support and region
Android update policies vary by brand and model. For a gaming phone, confirm the promised support period, warranty, local repair options and water-resistance rating rather than assuming they match a mainstream flagship. If importing a gaming phone, verify US cellular-band compatibility, Google Play availability, region-specific software, charging plug, warranty coverage, return terms and parts availability.

Improve Genshin performance on the phone you already own
- Install current updates for both the game and your operating system.
- Keep meaningful free storage, especially before large updates; updates may require temporary space beyond the installed game files.
- Close unnecessary background apps and restart the phone if performance has become erratic.
- If the phone heats up or frame rates become unstable, lower demanding graphics options such as shadows, reflections, effects or render resolution. A stable preset is usually preferable to maximum settings that the phone cannot sustain.
- Use stable Wi-Fi for large downloads and updates. Weak Wi-Fi, cellular congestion or server problems can cause network trouble that a faster phone cannot fix.
- Avoid trapping heat during long play: remove a thick case if practical, keep the phone out of direct sun and use a compatible cooler only as directed.
- Do not continue through severe heat, battery swelling or device warnings. Stop charging and gaming if the battery is swollen, and seek service.
If Genshin crashes, freezes or shows a black screen
A phone meeting minimum requirements can still struggle because of heat, low free storage, an aging battery, background apps, poor signal or device-specific optimization. If the game will not start, update the OS and game, restart the phone, free storage and close background apps. If it opens, try lower graphics settings. Reinstall only after confirming your account credentials are safely linked. HoYoverse cautions that devices below or near changing requirements can have installation, startup, display and freezing problems; consult its official device notice and support rather than assuming the phone is defective.
Some stutter is network-related rather than graphics-related. Use stable Wi-Fi for downloads, and distinguish a connection or server issue from slow rendering before replacing the phone.

Buy the REDMAGIC 11 Pro if Genshin Impact is your main reason for upgrading and you value gaming-focused cooling above all-round polish. Choose the iPhone 17 Pro Max if you want the best iOS all-rounder, or the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra if you want a versatile mainstream Android flagship. None is a universal winner: the right pick depends on how long you play, which ecosystem you prefer, and whether you want a gaming phone or a great everyday phone that also plays Genshin.
