Yes—but the Netflix news refers to June 2025, not June 2026. Netflix Tudum reported on June 13, 2025, that Now You See Me and Now You See Me 2 were streaming on Netflix ahead of the next franchise film, Now You See Me: Now You Don’t. Whether either movie is still available depends on your country and Netflix’s current licensing catalog.
What happened in June 2025?
Netflix made both films available during June 2025 as part of a wider franchise push ahead of the third installment. This was a catalog addition and promotional tie-in—not a new Netflix production, remake, or theatrical release.
The announcement came from Netflix Tudum on June 13, 2025. It confirmed the availability of the two earlier films at that time.
Update: The original announcement was published June 13, 2025. Availability in September 2026 must be checked in your local Netflix catalog because streaming rights can change.

Are the movies still on Netflix?
There is no responsible way to treat the 2025 announcement as proof that both titles remain available everywhere today. Netflix libraries vary by country, and a title can remain visible on a regional page even when playback is unavailable.
To check:
- Open Netflix in your country.
- Search separately for Now You See Me and Now You See Me 2.
- Open each title page and confirm that the play option appears.
- Do not assume that finding the first film means the sequel is included too.
A Netflix regional listing demonstrates why country-specific checking matters. Restricted children’s profiles may also hide a PG-13 title.

Now You See Me 2 (2016)
The 2016 sequel brings the Four Horsemen back for another elaborate scheme. This time, the group becomes involved with a technology magnate and a device capable of decrypting data.
Jesse Eisenberg, Mark Ruffalo, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, Michael Caine, and Morgan Freeman return. Lizzy Caplan joins the lineup as Lula, while Daniel Radcliffe also features in the sequel. Netflix’s official title page lists the film as a 2016 PG-13 release.

Why did Netflix add them together?
The timing was designed to build interest in the next franchise entry. Making the earlier films available together gave existing fans a chance to revisit the story and new viewers an easy starting point before the third movie.
That connection does not make either film a Netflix Original. They are licensed studio movies, and their availability can end when the relevant regional licensing window expires.
What if Netflix does not show one of them?
If a title is missing, first confirm that you are searching from the correct country and using an unrestricted profile. Netflix’s catalog is territory-specific, and the two movies may not have identical licensing windows.

- Netflix: Convenient if you already subscribe and both titles are locally included.
- Rental: Often suitable for a one-time viewing, subject to local availability and rental limits.
- Purchase: More suitable if you want continued access after a streaming license changes.
Do not rely on a headline saying “coming this June” without checking its year. In this case, the accurate date is June 2025.
