Privacy: check the path the image takes
“Runs in your browser” and “URL capture” are not interchangeable privacy assurances. A browser editor may render an uploaded image locally, while a URL capture feature or extension can send the address or screenshot to a server. Before using a mockup service with unreleased designs or customer data, check the specific input path you plan to use.

The URL capture is blank or shows the wrong page
Confirm the URL is public, loads without a login, and reaches the intended page in a normal browser. Redirects, consent prompts, and pages that require a particular session can change what appears. If URL capture is unsuitable, take a screenshot in the intended browser state and import the image instead.
The page is cut off or too small inside the frame
Check the original capture dimensions and the mockup’s crop controls. A full-page screenshot may be taller than a device screen and require a deliberate crop or scroll position. Use a frame that gives the content enough display area, and inspect the exported image at its final size rather than only inside the editor.
The result looks soft
The source screenshot may be too small for the selected export size, or the editor may scale it up. Start from a larger capture when possible and avoid enlarging a low-resolution image. A product’s maximum export dimension does not increase detail in the source.
A transparent background turned solid
