WA Police’s official website is now part of WA.gov.au. It provides crime-reporting guidance, police services, forms and public information—but it is not a newly launched August 2026 crime-reporting platform. The site’s phased launch began in June 2024. For immediate danger or a crime in progress, call 000 rather than using an online form.
What changed, and when?
WA Police moved from its standalone website to the Western Australian Government’s WA.gov.au platform. Most pages went live on 5 June 2024, and the former police.wa.gov.au site was decommissioned on 8 October 2024. The government’s announcement about the change was updated on 24 June 2025; it describes a phased website transition, not a fresh 2026 launch. The WA Government announcement sets out the chronology and initial features.
The redesigned site uses a search-led structure, with six main areas: report a crime; apply or submit a form; make a payment; learn about WA Police; view police information; and contact the force. Police-station search, crime statistics and media releases were among the custom functions added to the site.
What can you do on the WA Police website?
The WA Police Force hub brings together service links and public information. Depending on the matter, visitors can:

- Read guidance on reporting an incident, including assault, child abuse, cybercrime, family violence, fraud and identity theft, missing people, sexual assault, theft or property damage, and traffic crashes.
- Find a police station and access crime statistics or the Check my crime service.
- Read police media releases and announcements.
- Find information about firearms, security licensing, traffic matters and victims of crime.
- Access police-related forms, infringement payment information, podcasts, privacy information and public documents.
The crime and incident reporting page directs people to the appropriate guidance and reporting route. It does not mean every incident should be submitted through a general online form: urgency and the type of incident matter.
Choose the right reporting route

For family or sexual violence, missing-person and welfare concerns, or a crash involving injuries, follow the relevant police guidance and contact police directly if there is urgency or immediate danger. Keep useful records—such as screenshots, transaction details or identifying information—if it is safe to do so; preserving evidence should not delay urgent help.

Anonymous tips: what Crime Stoppers does
Crime Stoppers WA accepts information online and by phone at 1800 333 000. Its reporting route allows a person to withhold their name. The service publishes open cases, campaigns and reporting guidance, and supports approved enforcement agencies including WA ScamNet, the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation, and the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development. The WA Government also explains anonymous reporting at its anonymous-reporting guidance page.
Anonymous intelligence is not the same as making a standard report as a victim or witness, requesting police attendance, or seeking victim support. Do not assume anonymity applies to ordinary WA Police forms, and do not use Crime Stoppers instead of 000 when someone is in immediate danger.

- Scan Delay - delays scanning for two seconds before moving to another channel in order to hear replies
- Tune - find new and unlisted frequencies starting from a specified frequency
Online forms and other practical services
The 2024 launch announcement listed 22 online forms. Examples included employment and general enquiries, firearms licensing, Freedom of Information, traffic enquiries and crash records, National Police Certificate enquiries, property enquiries, criminal-injuries compensation information, and summonses, subpoenas and notices to produce. It also listed forms for commendations, Neighbourhood Watch, police employee misconduct, registering a party, and reports involving hoons, graffiti, or stolen or damaged property.
The announcement said more downloadable PDF and DOCX forms were intended to be converted over time. Forms and labels can change, so check the current service page before starting. The announcement described the forms as a way to submit and track an application or enquiry; that should not be read as a promise that every crime report has real-time tracking.

These resources make the site an information repository as well as a place to find services.

- Call 131 444 or contact a local station for non-emergency police assistance when a matter needs police attention.
- Use Crime Stoppers WA for information you want to provide anonymously.
- Look for a specialised WA Police page for the relevant offence or service instead of sending sensitive information through an unrelated general form.
- If online access is a barrier, use the appropriate phone route or visit a police station.
The current organisation page was updated on 17 August 2026, and the reporting page on 8 May 2026. Those update dates show the pages were maintained in 2026; they do not change the documented 2024 launch date.
