Yes. W-KING makes an official W-KING companion app for iPhone and Android, but it works with selected speakers—not every Bluetooth speaker the company sells. On supported models, it can provide controls such as EQ, lighting, playback and firmware updates. Before downloading it or buying a speaker for app features, confirm support for the exact model.
What is the W-KING app?
The W-KING app is a speaker-control companion, not a music-streaming service or a replacement for Spotify, Apple Music or another player. W-KING describes it as a way to control supported speakers wirelessly, adjust EQ and install firmware upgrades. It is available from the Apple App Store and Google Play; W-KING’s official app page links to both. Store listings identify the publisher as Shenzhen Weiking Technology.
Compatibility is selective. A speaker connecting to your phone over Bluetooth proves that it can play audio; it does not prove that the app can recognize or control it.
Which W-KING speakers support the app?
These models have direct support evidence in W-KING product pages or the app’s store history. This is not a guaranteed exhaustive list: W-KING tells customers to check the manual, and the app page does not provide one stable, complete compatibility table.

For another model, use W-KING’s manual directory and product page rather than inferring support from the model’s age, Bluetooth capability or appearance in the product catalog. If neither names app support, treat compatibility as unconfirmed and ask W-KING before relying on it.
- Read the exact model name printed on the speaker, box or label.
- Check that model’s official product page for explicit app features.
- Check its manual for app setup instructions.
- Look for the exact model in the W-KING app’s device-selection screen.
- If it is absent, contact W-KING support instead of selecting a similar-looking model.
What can the app control?
Functions vary by speaker. A feature described for one model should not be assumed to exist on another.
EQ and sound settings
Supported models may offer presets, manual EQ or custom sound profiles. The D320 page, for example, describes six preset modes and custom EQ; the X20 and X20S pages also promote app-based EQ. Available controls are model-specific, and a preset is not objectively best for every speaker placement, room, listening volume or type of music.
Lighting and playback
On models with RGB lighting, the app may offer brightness, modes, color or animation settings, or music-synchronized effects. The D320 and X10S pages promote app-based lighting controls. Supported products may also expose volume, playback or Bluetooth-related controls. Check the individual product page for the actual feature set.

Firmware
W-KING promotes firmware upgrades through the app, and the Apple listing’s release notes mention displaying update descriptions. That does not mean every model has an available update. Follow the app prompts and the model manual; do not interrupt an update or use firmware from an unofficial source.
TWS and stereo pairing
TWS support is a property of particular speaker models and is separate from app compatibility. W-KING’s FAQ says TWS pairing is limited to two speakers of the same model, with sufficient charge; matching firmware may also be needed on supported models. Depending on the speaker, pairing may use a physical button or the app, so do not assume the app is required. W-KING gives an approximate open-condition range of 8–10 m (26–33 ft); obstacles and interference can reduce it.
How to connect a W-KING speaker to the app
W-KING does not publish one setup sequence for every model. This general path separates ordinary Bluetooth audio pairing from the app’s device recognition step.
- Confirm app support. Check the exact model’s product page or manual before installing the app.
- Prepare the speaker and phone. Charge the speaker, enable Bluetooth on the phone, keep them close, and disconnect other phones or tablets that may already be connected.
- Install the official app. Use the W-KING app download page or search for W-KING in the Apple App Store or Google Play. The Apple listing requires iOS 13.0 or later. Google Play’s Android permission and nearby-device prompts can vary with Android version and phone manufacturer.
- Pair through the phone’s Bluetooth settings. Turn on the speaker and enter Bluetooth-pairing mode if needed. In the phone’s Bluetooth settings, select the speaker’s exact name and wait for the phone to report it connected.
- Select the speaker in the app. Open W-KING, choose the exact model in its device list or selection screen, and grant requested Bluetooth or nearby-device permissions.
- Test a control. Adjust volume or EQ and confirm the speaker responds. A connected Bluetooth audio device may still be unrecognized by the app.
Some App Store reviewers report initially missing the device-selection screen; that is user feedback, not a universal official setup requirement.

How to adjust EQ without making the sound worse
- Start with a balanced or neutral preset, if your model offers one.
- Change one frequency range at a time and compare at the same volume.
- If the sound distorts, reduce excessive bass boost rather than turning it up further.
- Save a custom preset if the app supports saving profiles.
- Recheck the sound after moving the speaker or changing the listening volume; placement and room acoustics affect what you hear.
App EQ customizes the speaker’s processing; it does not increase the speaker’s rated power. It is also separate from EQ in the phone’s operating system or music player.
How to update firmware safely
- Use the app only if it offers an update for your exact speaker model, and read the displayed description.
- Keep the speaker powered on and close to the phone. Keep the phone charged and connected to the internet.
- Follow the in-app prompts. Do not close the app, turn off the speaker or switch Bluetooth devices while the update is running.
- Wait for the speaker to finish and restart. Reconnect Bluetooth if necessary, then check the app’s displayed version.
- If the update appears stuck, use the recovery steps below and consult the model manual before power-cycling the speaker.
Update procedures can differ by model. Do not attempt unofficial firmware tools or files from forums or third-party hosts unless W-KING support specifically directs you to them.

The app cannot find the speaker
First distinguish two problems: the phone cannot pair with the speaker at all, or Bluetooth audio works but the app cannot recognize it. For the second case, try the following in order:
- Reconfirm app support for the exact model.
- Close and reopen the app, then toggle the phone’s Bluetooth off and on.
- Disconnect the speaker from other phones or tablets.
- If needed, forget the speaker in the phone’s Bluetooth settings and pair it again.
- Power-cycle the phone and speaker, then reopen the app and select the exact model.
- Check that the app has the requested Bluetooth or nearby-device permissions, and move the phone close to the speaker.
- Install any available app update. Reset the speaker only if its manual gives a reset procedure.
Google Play user reviews include reports that the app sometimes fails to recognize a speaker already connected over Bluetooth. Those reports describe user experiences, not a confirmed fault affecting every device.

Bluetooth works, but app controls do not
Check that the app has completed device discovery and that the selected device profile matches the speaker. The model may not support the control you are trying to use; an outdated app or firmware may also be relevant. W-KING does not publicly document every cause of control failures, so contact support if these checks do not help.
The wrong model appears, or the speaker is missing
Do not select a similar model as a workaround. Recheck the name on the speaker and its manual. If the exact model is absent from the app and its official materials do not confirm support, treat it as unsupported until W-KING confirms otherwise. Selecting an incorrect profile could prevent proper control; W-KING does not publish a general warning that every wrong selection will cause damage.
EQ changes seem to affect another speaker
A Google Play reviewer reported shared EQ settings between a D320 and X20. This is a user-reported issue, not an established behavior across app versions or speakers. Select the intended device before editing, save and test each speaker separately, and try its physical presets or your source device’s EQ if the settings continue to cross over. Report a persistent problem to W-KING.
TWS pairing fails
- Use two speakers of the same model, as W-KING’s FAQ specifies.
- Ensure both have adequate battery and, where supported, matching firmware.
- Try pairing in an area with less interference and keep the speakers within range.
- Follow the model manual for whether pairing uses a button or the app.
The app cannot make different models compatible for TWS.

A firmware update appears stalled
- Wait several minutes in case the speaker is restarting; avoid repeatedly retrying while its state is unclear.
- Reopen the app and check whether the displayed firmware version changed.
- Consult the model manual before power-cycling the speaker, then re-pair if appropriate.
- If the speaker remains unresponsive, contact W-KING support before attempting another update.
iPhone, Android and privacy details
The Apple App Store listing specifies iOS 13.0 or later. It also indicates compatibility with Apple silicon Macs and Apple Vision; that listing alone does not establish a Mac- or Vision-native experience. The Google Play listing shows 50K+ downloads and a 2.8-star rating in its listing snapshot; ratings and download counts can change. Its displayed update date is June 29, 2026. User reviews there report connection-recognition issues, EQ behavior across speakers, stereo-pairing failures and firmware problems; treat those as complaints from reviewers, not controlled tests or a prediction that every user will encounter them.
Privacy disclosures differ by store: Apple’s listing says the developer indicates no data collected, while Google Play reports developer-declared collection of personal information. These are platform disclosures, not a single universal guarantee about data handling; read the current store disclosure for your device before installing.
Is the W-KING app worth using or buying a speaker for?
For a confirmed compatible model, the app can be worthwhile if you want EQ beyond physical presets, phone-based lighting controls or access to model-specific firmware updates. It is less compelling if you only need basic Bluetooth playback, or if you expect seamless control across several W-KING models. The 2.8-star Google Play listing and reviewer complaints are reasons to weigh app dependence carefully, not proof that the app will fail for you.
- Good fit: You have confirmed support and want its specific EQ, lighting or control features.
- Less suitable: App compatibility is unclear, or basic playback is all you need.
- Consider carefully: The app is essential to your purchase, you switch between multiple speakers, or you need a highly polished multi-speaker ecosystem.
Before buying, verify explicit app support on the exact product page and manual, check that its controls are useful to you, and confirm TWS compatibility separately if stereo pairing matters. Check the product’s physical controls too, so the speaker remains usable if the app is unavailable. For price, warranty, water resistance, inputs and battery claims, consult the listing for the exact model and region; those specifications and terms are not brand-wide.
