The Vivo X100s Pro is a powerful camera-focused phone, but whether it is a smart buy in 2026 depends as much on its import status as its hardware. Launched in China in May 2024, it pairs a 1-inch-type 50MP main camera and stabilized telephoto camera with MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300+, fast wired and wireless charging, and a 120Hz AMOLED display. Its main drawbacks for buyers outside China are practical: local availability, warranty, carrier compatibility and China-market software need checking before purchase.
Vivo X100s Pro at a glance
The X100s Pro is the camera-oriented Pro model in Vivo’s X100s family. The specifications below are for the China-market model; they do not establish that the phone is officially sold or supported in every country.

Vivo’s China specifications page lists launch configurations and specifications. Its official product page describes the imaging features, charging and protection claims.
China launch price is not today’s international price
Vivo’s China launch recommended prices were CNY 4,999 for 12GB/256GB, CNY 5,599 for 16GB/512GB and CNY 6,199 for 16GB/1TB. These are 2024 launch-market figures—not verified current prices, an international MSRP or a quote for an imported phone. Check Vivo’s listed configurations, then compare the seller’s total landed cost, including shipping, tax and any import charges, with newer phones officially supported in your country.

The available launch information confirms a China release, not current official availability in every market. Before ordering, get the exact model and firmware region in writing, and check the seller’s return terms and warranty. A listing that calls a China-market device “global” is not enough to establish that it has official global firmware or local support.
What the camera hardware offers
Main camera
The main camera uses a 50MP Sony IMX989 sensor described as 1/0.98-inch class, with an f/1.75 lens and optical image stabilization (OIS). That large-sensor hardware gives the phone a substantial foundation for still photography, particularly when a buyer values the main camera’s light-gathering potential and background rendering. Sensor size alone does not guarantee better photos: processing, focus, movement, exposure and the scene all matter.
Telephoto and ultrawide cameras
The 50MP telephoto camera has a 1/2-inch sensor, f/2.5 lens and OIS, with Zeiss APO super-telephoto and floating-lens-group branding. Secondary specifications describe it as roughly 100mm equivalent with 4.3× optical zoom; treat those figures as secondary-source specifications rather than a guarantee about every camera mode. The other rear camera is a 50MP f/2.0 ultrawide with autofocus. Vivo’s official specification page confirms the rear cameras, their sensor and aperture details, and autofocus across the rear cameras.

The different cameras still have different sensors and optics, so do not assume equal results at every focal length, in low light or with moving subjects. Third-party camera apps may also behave differently from Vivo’s own camera app.
Zeiss features, portraits and video
Vivo highlights Zeiss optics, T* lens coating, portrait features and its V3 imaging chip. Vivo says the coating is intended to reduce reflections and flare; that manufacturer description is not independent proof that difficult backlighting will never cause flare. The hardware is promising for portraits and varied framing, but image style and consistency depend on Vivo’s processing as well as the lenses and sensors.
Do not infer that the X100s Pro necessarily beats every newer phone in video, selfies, night shots or moving-subject photography. The front camera is 32MP, but megapixels alone do not establish selfie quality. The available official information does not provide an independent, like-for-like camera test, so choose based on the camera capabilities you need rather than an unsupported claim of universal camera superiority.

Performance and display
The Dimensity 9300+ is a flagship-class 4nm chipset with one CPU core listed at up to 3.4GHz, three at up to 2.85GHz and four at up to 2.0GHz, plus an Immortalis-G720 GPU. That is a capable hardware platform for demanding apps and gaming. Vivo also advertises performance optimisation, frame-rate stabilisation, game super-resolution, frame interpolation and ray tracing features. Those are supported-feature claims, not independent evidence of sustained frame rates, cooler operation or a better gaming experience in a particular title.

Long gaming sessions, heat, battery drain and frame stability depend on the game, settings, ambient temperature and software. Buyers who care about a specific game, emulator or controller should verify compatibility and sustained performance rather than relying on chipset branding. A MediaTek platform may also have different game or emulator optimisation from a Snapdragon alternative.
The display is a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with 2800 × 1260 resolution, up to 120Hz refresh and 1.07 billion-color support. Vivo lists 100% DCI-P3 coverage and markets the panel as an eye-care display. Those specifications do not independently establish outdoor readability, color accuracy, HDR behavior or flicker performance.
Battery and charging: understand the capacity figure
Vivo describes a dual-cell battery with a typical electrical capacity of 2,700mAh at 7.78V, equivalent to 5,400mAh at 3.89V. The rated capacity is 2,630mAh at 7.78V, equivalent to 5,260mAh at 3.89V. The familiar 5,400mAh figure is therefore the typical equivalent capacity, not the literal rating of one single cell.
The phone supports 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. Vivo claims a 50% charge in 12.5 minutes under its stated conditions; that is a manufacturer claim, not an independent result for every charger or situation. Actual speed can vary with the adapter and cable, battery temperature, charge level and whether the phone is in use. Confirm which charger is included with the exact seller and regional package.

At about 224–225g and 8.91mm thick, the X100s Pro is a substantial phone. It is heavier and thicker than the regular X100s, which Vivo lists at 203g and 7.8mm. Buyers who prefer a light phone or frequent one-handed use should account for that difference, along with the camera module’s physical presence.

Vivo lists IP68 and IP69 ratings. These ratings do not make a phone waterproof or invulnerable: resistance can weaken after a drop or repair, and salt water, chlorinated water, hot liquids and high-pressure jets are not equivalent to controlled testing. Do not charge the phone until its ports are dry, and do not assume liquid damage will be covered by a warranty.
The import question: software, networks and support
The verified product material is for the China version, which launched with OriginOS 4. That is the central ownership caveat for many international buyers. Do not assume the Chinese model behaves like a Vivo phone officially sold in your market, or that a seller-installed app package is equivalent to official regional software.

- Google services: whether Play Store and Play Services are present and certified, and whether the Google apps you need work reliably.
- Payments and apps: test requirements for Google Wallet, banking apps, streaming services and any relevant certification or playback quality.
- Connected-car and calling features: check Android Auto, carrier VoLTE, Wi-Fi calling and eSIM support rather than assuming availability.
- Mobile networks: compare the exact model’s LTE and 5G bands with your carrier, and ask whether it will provision VoLTE. Band overlap alone does not guarantee every carrier feature will work.
- Language and notifications: check system language options, Chinese-market apps, notification behavior, default-app controls and launcher preferences.
- Updates and repairs: establish the update policy for this model and whether local service centers will repair it. Get warranty coverage, return eligibility and repair costs in writing.
- Seller and device condition: verify that the phone is new or refurbished as described, has the expected ROM, and has not been modified with unwanted software.
These are checks, not claims that a particular feature is unavailable. Compatibility varies by carrier, country, firmware and seller. If a seller cannot give clear answers, or the return policy excludes software and network incompatibility, treat that uncertainty as part of the price.

X100s Pro vs X100 Pro
The X100s Pro is best understood as an updated variant within the same broad generation, not a completely new generation. It moves to the Dimensity 9300+ from the X100 Pro’s Dimensity 9300 and has a listed 5,400mAh typical equivalent battery, 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The camera approach remains centered on a large main sensor and a 50MP telephoto. The “s” name alone does not mean every part of the camera experience is a clean upgrade; compare actual price, condition, software and support for the individual phone.
X100s Pro vs regular X100s
Both models use the Dimensity 9300+, but the regular X100s is slimmer and lighter, and had a lower launch price. The Pro is the more camera-focused choice, adding the larger main-camera hardware, periscope-style telephoto and wireless charging. Choose the regular X100s if weight and cost matter more than those Pro camera features; choose the Pro only if you will use what the added hardware offers.

X100s Pro vs X100 Ultra
The X100 Ultra is a separate imaging-focused option, not simply the Pro with a higher number. Its camera arrangement and platform differ. Decide what matters most—main-camera shooting, portrait focal lengths, longer-range zoom, video, performance or support in your region—and compare those specific needs. The available information does not support declaring a universal winner.
Which storage version makes sense?
- 12GB/256GB: a sensible lower-cost configuration for everyday use if the price is right and you do not keep a large media library on the phone.
- 16GB/512GB: the balanced option for photography, games and keeping a phone for longer without managing storage as often.
- 16GB/1TB: worth considering mainly for heavy video capture, large game libraries or substantial offline media.
The listed storage is UFS 4.0 internal storage. The verified specification material does not establish a removable-storage option, so choose enough capacity at purchase rather than expecting to add a memory card later.
Should you buy the Vivo X100s Pro in 2026?
Consider it if you want a large-sensor main camera, a stabilized telephoto camera, flagship-class processing and fast wired and wireless charging—and can buy it at a meaningful discount. It is most compelling for camera-focused buyers who are comfortable importing a China-market phone and can verify their carrier and app requirements.
Skip it or compare carefully if the landed price approaches a newer officially supported flagship, you need straightforward local warranty service, or you rely on Google Wallet, Android Auto, banking apps or carrier features that you cannot test. It is also a poor match if you want a light phone or expect a plug-and-play global-ROM experience.
There is no verified current 2026 street price or country-specific availability in the cited launch material, so a responsible value judgment has to be price-sensitive. Compare the full import cost—not just the seller’s headline price—with newer phones available through official local channels. For another buyer, local support or a different balance of cameras and software may be worth more than the X100s Pro’s hardware advantages.
