The UNISOC Tiger T610 is a 2019-era, entry-level 4G mobile SoC. Its two Cortex-A75 cores, six Cortex-A55 cores and Mali-G52 graphics are adequate for calls, messaging, browsing, streaming and casual games, but it is dated for demanding gaming, heavy multitasking, 5G or long-term primary-device use. Actual speed depends heavily on RAM, eMMC storage, display resolution, cooling, software and price.
What is the UNISOC Tiger T610?
The T610 is an octa-core smartphone and tablet system-on-chip, formerly associated with the Spreadtrum brand. Notebookcheck lists its announcement date as November 27, 2019, placing it in the 2019–2021 budget-device generation. It is a 4G platform rather than a gaming or flagship processor.
UNISOC’s official specifications are available at the T610 product page. Architecture, process and historical benchmark context are also catalogued by Notebookcheck.

CPU architecture and clock speed
The two Cortex-A75 performance cores handle bursts such as opening apps and loading web pages, while six Cortex-A55 efficiency cores handle lighter work and background activity. This is more capable than budget chips built entirely around older Cortex-A53 cores, but only two performance cores limit sustained heavy multitasking and demanding CPU workloads.

The 12 nm process is old compared with current budget silicon. It can contribute to lower efficiency, but process size alone does not determine battery life: screen, modem use, battery capacity, software and thermal design are equally important.
GPU, video and gaming
The Mali-G52 3EE has two cores and a listed maximum frequency of 614.4 MHz. It supports displays up to 2,400 × 1,080 and the official video capabilities listed above. In practice, it is a casual-gaming GPU. Older or less demanding 3D games generally suit low or medium settings; modern demanding games often require reduced resolution, low graphics presets and frame-rate compromises.
Do not treat a database score as a guaranteed frame rate. Cooling, RAM, panel resolution, firmware and game optimization can produce large differences between T610 devices.

Memory and storage determine much of the experience
Two devices with the same T610 can feel very different. A model with 4 GB of LPDDR4X is better positioned for multitasking than one with 3 GB and slower memory. The chip’s eMMC 5.1 storage is substantially slower than modern UFS storage, affecting booting, app installation, updates and file transfers. Capacity and available free space also influence perceived responsiveness.
Connectivity and regional compatibility
The integrated modem is 4G-only and supports LTE Category 7 along with GSM, CDMA, TD-SCDMA, WCDMA, TDD-LTE and FDD-LTE standards. Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 5.0 are supported.
These standards do not guarantee service on a particular network. US buyers should verify the exact model’s LTE bands, VoLTE support, carrier certification and emergency-calling compatibility. Imported devices can lack required bands or approval even when the SoC supports the relevant radio technology. Choose another platform if 5G is a requirement.

Camera and multimedia limits
UNISOC lists a three-core ISP, a 14-bit pipeline and support for up to a 32 MP camera at platform level. Notebookcheck describes the ISP but lists a different maximum-camera breakdown of 24 MP, 8 MP and 8 MP. The 32 MP figure is therefore a platform ceiling, not a promise of image quality or a particular sensor configuration.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesActual photos and video depend on the manufacturer’s sensors, lenses, stabilization, ISP tuning, camera application and implementation of the 1080p60 modes.

Notebookcheck aggregates results from Geekbench, PCMark, 3DMark Sling Shot Physics and older AnTuTu-era tests at its processor page. AnTuTu 8, 9 and 10, and Geekbench 5 and 6, are different releases; their scores should not be mixed without the version, device and date. NanoReview’s comparative pages—T610, T616 versus T610 and T610 versus SC9863A—are useful for broad context, not laboratory-equivalent rankings.
PassMark also has an alternate “T610-Unisoc” entry at this URL, listing approximately 2,582 CPU Mark and 1,070 single-thread rating. The differing label illustrates why model identity and test conditions matter.

Is a T610 device a good buy in 2026?
Reasonable choices
- A very inexpensive secondary tablet for reading, streaming or children’s basic use.
- A used device with at least 4 GB RAM, verified bands and a healthy battery.
- A light-use device priced well below newer alternatives.
Usually poor choices
- Gaming-focused purchases, heavy editing or sustained multitasking.
- Buyers who need 5G or several years of demanding primary-phone use.
- Any device priced like a modern midrange product despite eMMC storage, low RAM or obsolete software.
Buying checklist
- Confirm the exact model number and processor; distinguish T610 from T612, T616, T618 and unrelated MediaTek models.
- Prefer at least 4 GB RAM and check storage capacity and eMMC performance expectations.
- Check Android version, security-patch date and the manufacturer’s regional update policy.
- For cellular models, verify LTE bands, VoLTE, carrier certification and emergency-calling support in your country.
- Inspect battery health, especially on used Nokia T20 or Lenovo tablets.
- Compare the complete device price with newer Helio G99, Dimensity, Snapdragon 6-series or equivalent alternatives.
- Use a seller warranty and return policy when buying discontinued or imported hardware.
The Bottom Line
The UNISOC Tiger T610 remains usable for basic 4G phone and tablet tasks, but it is dated. Buy one only when the complete device is inexpensive, has adequate RAM and software support, and matches your network; do not pay modern midrange prices for its modest benchmark class.
