The UGREEN Nexode 65W charger with a built-in retractable USB-C cable was reported at $37.99 on Amazon on December 16, 2025. That was a real promotion, but it is a historical price—not a confirmed live deal. Check the current listing and checkout price before buying.
Which UGREEN Nexode 65W charger was on sale?
The deal was for the version with a retractable USB-C cable, a separate USB-C port and a USB-A port. Its maximum combined output is 65W; the built-in cable and additional USB-C port are each rated for up to 60W, according to the December 2025 deal coverage.
That layout matters. UGREEN sells several products called Nexode 65W, including standard three-port and four-port models, the Nexode Air, RG and Pro versions. A listing that says only “Nexode 65W” may not be the retractable-cable model. Compare the product photos and port layout, and follow the exact model link rather than relying on the family name.
Was $37.99 a good price?
The December 16, 2025 report put the charger at $37.99, described as $12 off a roughly $49.99 reference price. It said the promotion was about $1.50 above the product’s Black Friday price—roughly $36.49. The article’s headline rounded the offer to $38, while its URL contains a different amount; its text gives $37.99.

As a buying guide, around $38 is a reasonable historical benchmark if you specifically want the built-in cable. It is not evidence that the same price is available now. UGREEN’s US collection page has shown a different product, the Nexode Air 65W, at $29.99 against a $39.99 reference price. The Air is not the retractable-cable charger, so compare its ports and features rather than treating it as the same deal: UGREEN’s laptop-charger collection.
As editorial price guidance—not a guaranteed market-wide rule—consider comparing carefully if the retractable model is above about $50. At that level, a newer 65W model with more ports or an international-plug version may better suit your needs.

What can a 65W charger power?
For many USB-C Power Delivery devices, 65W is enough for a MacBook Air-class laptop, tablet, phone and smaller accessories, though not necessarily all at once at their fastest rates. It can also suit many ultrabooks, handheld consoles, cameras and phones. A device negotiates the power it can accept; the charger does not force 65W into every device.
- 65W is the combined ceiling. It is not 65W per port.
- Each USB-C output has its own limit. The deal coverage specifies up to 60W through the retractable cable or the separate USB-C port when used individually.
- Connecting more devices shares available power. A laptop may charge more slowly when a phone or accessory is plugged into another output.
- Charging speed depends on protocol and cable. PD, PPS and device-specific charging support affect the result. Use an appropriately rated cable with the separate USB-C port; a phone may not reach its proprietary advertised maximum.
A 65W unit is not a universal replacement for a laptop adapter rated at 90W, 100W, 140W or more. A demanding laptop may charge slowly, warn that the adapter is underpowered, or lose battery while under heavy load. Check the laptop’s recommended input and whether its USB-C port supports charging before relying on this as its only adapter.

UGREEN’s conventional Nexode 65W three-port model is listed for products including MacBook, Dell XPS, ThinkPad, Surface, iPad, iPhone, Galaxy and Pixel devices. Those compatibility examples do not guarantee maximum-speed charging for every model.
Is the retractable cable useful for travel?
The built-in cable removes one loose USB-C cable from your bag and cannot be left behind separately. That is handy for hotel rooms, airports and cafés, particularly if you want one wall charger for a laptop and phone. The extra USB-C and USB-A ports provide options for other devices.

There are trade-offs. The cable may be too short for a bedside outlet or an awkward seat or desk layout. Its retracting mechanism is a moving part and is less straightforward to replace than a standard cable. You will still need another cable for a second USB-C device, a Lightning or USB-A device, or any proprietary connector.

UGREEN also lists Nexode RG and Pro 65W variants. Names and headline wattage alone are not enough to compare them; check each product page’s exact port layout, plug system and output allocation.
Check these details before checkout
- Exact SKU and ports: confirm the listing shows the built-in retractable USB-C cable, one additional USB-C port and one USB-A port.
- Live price: treat $37.99 as historical unless the retailer shows it at checkout now. Check whether a coupon, membership, colour choice or other condition affects the price.
- Seller and terms: confirm who sells the item and review the retailer’s return policy and the product’s warranty terms.
- Your laptop’s needs: verify its USB-C charging support and power requirement; this is not a high-wattage workstation or gaming-laptop substitute.
- Your trip’s plugs: confirm the wall-plug format for your destination. A compact US charger is not automatically an international adapter.
- Other cables: bring the right cables for devices the built-in USB-C lead cannot serve, and choose a suitable power-rated cable for the extra USB-C port.
As with other compact high-output chargers, leave room for ventilation and avoid covering it with clothing during sustained charging. The available specifications and coverage do not establish independent efficiency, temperature, durability or electrical-safety test results.
