Event status: completed May 18, 2024. This guide covers the first Tyson Fury–Oleksandr Usyk fight, not their December 2024 rematch. The main card began at 5 p.m. BST (12 p.m. ET), with the headline bout’s ring walks expected around 11:05 p.m. BST (6:05 p.m. ET). The fight took place at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh; Oleksandr Usyk won by split decision.
Fury vs. Usyk I: event details
- Date: Saturday, May 18, 2024, in the UK and United States. In Riyadh, the expected main-event ring walks fell after midnight, on Sunday, May 19.
- Venue: Kingdom Arena, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
- Main-card start: 12 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. BST.
- Expected ring walks: Around 6:05 p.m. ET / 11:05 p.m. BST. This was an estimate, not a guaranteed start time.
- Result: Usyk defeated Fury by split decision.
The fight was billed as Ring of Fire and was for the undisputed heavyweight championship. Fury held the WBC title; Usyk held the WBA, IBF and WBO titles. It was promoted as the first undisputed heavyweight championship fight of the four-belt era. The WBC’s event guide outlined the broadcast information and title context.

The main-card start was reported as noon ET and 5 p.m. UK time. The U.S. times below are conversions from that reported Eastern time, not separate broadcast-start claims.

The original event was sold as pay-per-view in relevant markets. A platform account or subscription and the PPV purchase were not necessarily the same thing. Rights and purchase arrangements varied by country; these are historical options for the May 2024 event, not active purchase links for a fight that has concluded.

U.S. viewers had ESPN+ PPV and DAZN PPV listed as options. ESPN’s event guide gave a noon ET start for the ESPN+ PPV: ESPN’s Fury–Usyk viewing guide. DAZN also listed the event for U.S. viewers in its event and timing guide.

The event was carried through DAZN PPV, TNT Sports Box Office and Sky Sports Box Office. Sky Sports reported a UK price of £24.95 for the original event; that was a historical May 2024 price, not a current offer. Booking method and fees could affect the final cost. Other countries
DAZN reported availability in more than 200 countries, but regional rights and prices varied, and DAZN was not necessarily the only local option. The WBC regional broadcast listing and DAZN’s event page documented options at the time. Those historical listings do not establish whether a replay is available now.

Why the ring-walk time was only an estimate
DAZN published an estimate of about 11:05 p.m. BST (6:05 p.m. ET); Sky Sports gave a broader estimate of around 11 p.m. UK time. The headline fight could move later or earlier depending on how long the undercard bouts, introductions, interviews and production took. Viewers who wanted to catch the main event needed to tune in well before the estimate; joining at the main-card start was the safer option.
The scheduled fight card
These were the principal bouts listed for the event. Boxing cards can change or be reordered, so a scheduled lineup should not be treated as a promise of exact bout order.

First fight or rematch? How to tell them apart
The unnumbered “Fury vs. Usyk” start-time guide refers here to the first fight on May 18. Their second fight took place on December 21, 2024, also in Riyadh, and had its own schedule and broadcast arrangements. TNT Sports reported a 4 p.m. GMT broadcast start and a 5 p.m. GMT undercard start for the rematch; those times should not be substituted for the May event’s schedule.
