ASTRO A50 X

The Best Logitech Headset 2026: Logitech Headsets Ranked

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Best overall: the ASTRO A50 X, if you regularly switch between PC, PlayStation and Xbox. For most PC players, the Logitech G PRO X 2 LIGHTSPEED is the better conventional wireless choice; the G522 LIGHTSPEED delivers the strongest mid-range balance, while the G435 is the lightest budget option.

This ranking includes ASTRO because Logitech acquired Astro and sells it within its gaming-audio portfolio. “Best” depends on platform, connection needs, microphone priorities, comfort and price—not simply sound quality. Prices below are US Logitech catalogue observations from August 16, 2026 and can change with promotions, stock, region and colour.

Quick picks

Category Pick Why
Best overall ASTRO A50 X PLAYSYNC switching for multi-console setups
Best Logitech G model PRO X 2 LIGHTSPEED Premium wireless PC gaming, Bluetooth and long battery life
Best premium value ASTRO A50 Gen 5 Docked wireless experience below the A50 X
Best mid-range G522 LIGHTSPEED Wireless flexibility and a well-reviewed microphone
Best comfort/RGB G733 LIGHTSPEED Suspension headband, low perceived weight and RGB
Best lightweight budget G435 LIGHTSPEED Very low weight, LIGHTSPEED and Bluetooth
Best wired value PRO X SE, G432, G335 or A10 No battery to charge; choose by platform and sale price

See Logitech’s changing US catalogue for current availability and prices: Logitech gaming audio. Independent testing from RTINGS places the PRO X 2 among Logitech’s strongest tested headsets, but that does not make it the best choice for a household that needs console switching.

How the ranking was decided

The order weighs platform compatibility, connection flexibility, microphone performance, comfort, sound and imaging, battery behaviour, current value, isolation, software and serviceability. Review impressions are attributed to independent outlets; this is not a claim of firsthand testing.

1. ASTRO A50 X — best overall for multi-console households

Best for: people who switch between PC, PlayStation and Xbox and will actually use the PLAYSYNC base station.

The A50 X’s advantage is workflow. Supported devices connect through the base station, so switching can be simpler than moving USB receivers or cables. Logitech’s catalogue showed a $399.99 standard price and a $319.99 sale signal on August 16, 2026.

  • Choose it for: centralized switching, a premium dock and a multi-console desk.
  • Do not choose it for: PC-only use, a small desk or the lowest price.
  • Check first: your exact console, HDMI/display path, USB arrangement and network setup. More convenience can also mean more cables and troubleshooting when video, USB and audio handshakes interact.

GamesRadar describes the A50 X as a premium, high-performing option: current PS5 headset coverage. Its premium is mainly for integration, not a guarantee that it is the best competitive-FPS headset.

2. ASTRO A50 Gen 5 — best premium docked value

Best for: buyers wanting an A50-style base station and wireless console/PC experience without paying A50 X pricing. Logitech listed it at $299.99.

The official model is the ASTRO A50 Gen 5 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Headset and Base Station with PLAYSYNC Audio. It is a separate product from the A50 X, so confirm the exact switching and console features before ordering. Logitech says G HUB, the Logitech G Mobile App and Dolby Atmos features for Xbox and Windows require internet access: A50 Gen 5 product page.

  • Strength: premium docked convenience at a lower price than A50 X.
  • Trade-off: desk space, cables and less portability than a simple USB-dongle headset.

3. Logitech G PRO X 2 LIGHTSPEED — best traditional Logitech G headset

Best for: premium PC gaming, Bluetooth use and buyers who prefer a conventional headset over a console-switching base.

RTINGS calls the PRO X 2 the best Logitech headset it has tested, citing solid build quality and comfort: PRO X 2 review. It combines LIGHTSPEED, Bluetooth, premium over-ear construction, long battery potential and interchangeable ear-pad options.

Logitech’s US catalogue showed $279.99 standard and a $209.99 sale signal. GamesRadar notes the USB-A 2.4GHz receiver and microphone as reasons it is not ideal for every buyer: gaming-headset coverage. RTINGS also reports limited ambient-noise blocking and notable leakage. Verify the exact receiver and console support for your platform.

4. Logitech G522 LIGHTSPEED — best mid-range balance

Best for: wireless gaming, voice chat and streaming when A50 features and PRO X 2 materials are unnecessary.

PC Gamer reports 40mm PRO-G drivers, a detachable omnidirectional microphone, 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth 5.3, 290g weight and approximately 90 hours without lighting or 40 hours with lighting: G522 review. The Logitech catalogue showed $159.99 standard and a $129.99 sale signal.

TechRadar positions it as an attractive mid-range alternative: G522 review. Its microphone is one of the stronger options at this price according to PC Gamer, not an objectively universal winner. RGB cuts battery life, and there is no A50-style switching hardware.

5. Logitech G733 LIGHTSPEED — best comfort and RGB

Best for: long sessions, suspension-headband comfort, colourful styling and RGB. Logitech listed $159.99 standard and an $89.99 sale signal.

The LIGHTSPEED G733 is attractive when discounted, but it lacks Bluetooth and uses conspicuous gamer styling. Its microphone and sound are not the range leaders, and its plastic construction is harder to justify at full price. RTINGS notes substantial leakage among Logitech models and describes the brand’s general comfort/customisation strengths alongside bulky styling: Logitech rankings.

6. Logitech G435 LIGHTSPEED — best lightweight budget wireless

Best for: budget buyers, smaller heads and anyone who strongly dislikes heavy headsets.

Logitech G PRO X Wireless Lightspeed Gaming Headset - Black
  • Based on the award-winning PRO Gaming Headset design, the PRO X Wireless headset features high-quality materials, advanced communications, precision audio and total wireless freedom.Specific uses for product : Gaming
  • High performance PRO X gaming headset with Lightspeed wireless technology, up to 20-plus hours of battery life and up to 15 m of 2.4 GHz wireless range.

  • Advanced PRO-G 50 millimeter drivers deliver clear and precise sound imaging with improved bass response. Hear footsteps and environmental cues with clarity to give you the competitive advantage in game.
  • Soft memory foam earpads with your choice of premium passive noise-canceling leatherette or soft, breathable velour for supreme comfort.

RTINGS lists the G435 among its recommended budget wireless headsets: wireless-headset rankings. It offers LIGHTSPEED and Bluetooth at a low weight and price; Logitech’s catalogue showed $79.99 standard and a $45.89 sale signal.

The compromises are a less substantial build, limited isolation, sound leakage and a basic microphone. It is a poor fit for noisy shared rooms, broadcast-quality voice or buyers wanting wired backup. Confirm console support before purchase.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

7. Logitech G535 LIGHTSPEED — simple wireless alternative

The G535 offers LIGHTSPEED and a suspension headband. Logitech listed $119.99 standard and a $94.89 sale signal. It is worth considering only when its current discount beats the G733, G522 or G435 for your needs; it lacks their newer feature or value advantages. RTINGS maintains a tested entry for the model at its Logitech rankings.

8. Logitech G321 LIGHTSPEED — entry-level current contender

Logitech’s US catalogue listed the G321 at $59.99. It is a reasonable inexpensive wireless candidate, but publicly available independent testing is thinner than for the models above. Verify battery, microphone, platform and comfort specifications on the current product page before choosing it over a tested G435 or discounted wired model.

Wired models still make sense

PRO X wired, PRO X SE, G432, G335 and ASTRO A10 remain sensible when you want no battery degradation, the lowest cost, controller connection or reliable use while charging. Catalogue observations included approximately $129.99 for PRO X, $119.99 for PRO X SE, $79.99 standard for G432, $69.99 for G335 and $69.99 for A10, with some sale pricing. Check the dated catalogue rather than treating these as permanent prices: Logitech catalogue.

Head-to-head buying decisions

A50 X vs A50 Gen 5

Choose A50 X when full multi-device switching is the reason you are buying. Choose A50 Gen 5 when you want a premium docked headset but do not need every A50 X workflow feature. Neither is sensible solely for PC gaming if a USB receiver does the job.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

A50 X vs PRO X 2

A50 X buys switching and dock convenience; PRO X 2 buys a simpler premium wireless setup, Bluetooth and replaceable-pad flexibility at a much lower catalogue price. Competitive PC players should not assume the A50 X is automatically better.

PRO X 2 vs G522

Choose PRO X 2 for premium construction, long battery potential and ear-pad choice. Choose G522 for lower cost and a detachable microphone that PC Gamer praised at its price. Neither is universally superior.

G522 vs G733

G522 is the more modern all-rounder with Bluetooth and a stronger microphone proposition. G733 wins when suspension-headband comfort, RGB or a deep discount matter more.

G733 vs G435

G733 offers more substantial comfort and RGB; G435 is lighter and cheaper. Neither is ideal for strong isolation, and G435’s microphone is the larger compromise.

Platform guide

PC

PRO X 2 is the safest premium Logitech G choice; G522 is the value choice. G HUB may be needed for EQ, firmware, microphone processing, profiles and spatial settings. Console availability of those features can be narrower.

PlayStation 5

Confirm that the exact headset and USB receiver support PS5 chat and sidetone. A50 models suit buyers wanting a dock; G522, PRO X 2, G733 and G435 suit simpler receiver-based setups where officially supported.

Xbox

Do not infer Xbox compatibility from PC or PlayStation support. Check the exact Xbox variant, base-station connection and Dolby/G HUB requirements before ordering.

Nintendo Switch

Docked USB and handheld Bluetooth can behave differently, especially for microphone support. Verify whether your chosen model supports the connection mode you actually use.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Mobile and mixed devices

Bluetooth makes PRO X 2, G522 and G435 more flexible than LIGHTSPEED-only designs, but simultaneous wireless/Bluetooth audio and microphone behaviour vary. Treat “wireless” as a specific technology: LIGHTSPEED is not Bluetooth.

Comfort, rooms and battery realities

  • Weight alone does not predict comfort. Clamp, cup depth, glasses, head size, heat and pad material matter.
  • Low isolation and leakage are important in shared bedrooms, offices, beside a television or when streaming.
  • Battery ratings change with RGB, volume, microphone monitoring, firmware, wireless mode and battery age. Treat “up to” figures as ratings, not guarantees.
  • Check replacement-pad availability, warranty and whether battery service is practical before committing to an expensive wireless model.

Decision checklist

  1. Need to switch between several consoles? Choose A50 X, after checking HDMI, USB and display requirements.
  2. Want premium conventional wireless PC gaming? Choose PRO X 2.
  3. Want a premium dock for less? Choose A50 Gen 5.
  4. Want the best mid-range balance and chat? Choose G522.
  5. Want RGB and a suspension headband? Choose G733, preferably below $100.
  6. Want the lightest inexpensive wireless option? Choose G435.
  7. Want no battery? Compare PRO X SE, G432, G335 and A10 by platform and current price.

Prices and when to buy

The August 16, 2026 US signals show why sale-aware advice matters: A50 X $399.99/$319.99, A50 Gen 5 $299.99, PRO X 2 $279.99/$209.99, G522 $159.99/$129.99, G733 $159.99/$89.99, G535 $119.99/$94.89, G435 $79.99/$45.89 and G321 $59.99 (standard/sale where two figures are shown).
