Update: This was a historical deal, not a newly verified September 2026 offer. On August 2, 2025, Lenovo’s U.S. store listed the 8GB Lenovo Chromebook Duet 11 bundle for $249.99. That configuration included 128GB of storage, the detachable keyboard and stand, and a Lenovo USI Pen 2. The price was described by Chrome Unboxed as the lowest it had tracked, beating a previous low of $274.99.
The $249.99 promotion is not verified as active now. Treat this as a dated deal report and price benchmark unless the exact SKU is available at the same price during checkout.

Make sure you are buying the right Duet 11
Lenovo sells multiple configurations under the Chromebook Duet Gen 9 name. The deal discussed here is the 8GB/128GB model, part number 83HH0001US. It is materially different from the cheaper 4GB version, part number 83HH0002US.

The 4GB model has the same general product family and does not include the USI Pen 2. Pen support and pen inclusion are not the same thing: a Chromebook may support a compatible stylus without one being supplied in the box.
Before buying, check the retailer listing for all of the following:
- 8GB of memory
- 128GB of storage
- MediaTek Kompanio 838 processor
- Lenovo USI Pen 2 included
- Detachable folio keyboard included
- Stand or kickstand cover included
- SKU 83HH0001US, where the retailer displays a part number
Compare the official 8GB product page with Lenovo’s 4GB product page rather than relying on a generic “Duet 11” title.

ChromeOS is relatively lightweight, but 4GB can become restrictive when several browser tabs, Google Meet, Docs, Gmail and Android applications are open at once. The 8GB configuration provides more multitasking headroom for schoolwork, video calls, split-screen use and everyday browsing.
It does not turn the Duet into a high-performance laptop. The MediaTek Kompanio 838 is aimed at ordinary ChromeOS workloads, not demanding desktop applications or sustained professional workloads. The memory is soldered, so you cannot upgrade a 4GB model later.
The included pen also changes the value of the bundle. For note-taking, PDF markup, handwriting and tablet-style use, buying the stylus separately would make a pen-free configuration less attractive. The correct comparison is the cost of the complete 8GB bundle—not just the lowest tablet-only price.

The 1920×1200 panel is sometimes described in deal coverage as a “2K” display. The precise resolution is more useful: it is a sharp, relatively tall 16:10 screen for reading, documents, video calls and handwritten notes, but it is not a 2560×1440 panel.
Its detachable design is the main attraction. Remove the keyboard and it works as a lightweight tablet; attach the folio and stand for browser work or typing. The trade-off is that the keyboard is compact and not equivalent to the full-size keyboard on a conventional laptop. It is suitable for short assignments, messages and travel, but people who type for hours may prefer a larger Chromebook.
What the Duet 11 is good for
This configuration makes sense for buyers who want a small ChromeOS device for:
- Web browsing, email and streaming
- Google Docs, Sheets and classroom work
- Video calls and online learning
- Reading ebooks and PDFs
- Handwritten notes and PDF annotation
- Light Android applications
- Travel, commuting and casual tablet use
- Cloud-based productivity
The 8GB memory is especially useful when the tablet is used as a small laptop with multiple tabs and a video call open. The keyboard, stand and pen also mean the bundle can cover several roles without requiring immediate accessory purchases.
What it is not good for
Do not buy it expecting the performance or software flexibility of a Windows laptop, MacBook or more powerful Chromebook. It is a poor fit for:

The 128GB eMMC storage is fixed to the system board, as is the RAM. You cannot later replace the internal storage with a larger drive or upgrade from 4GB to 8GB. Cloud storage, external USB-C storage or a different computer may be necessary for users with substantial local files.
How unusual was the $249.99 price?
The price history helps separate an exceptional promotion from a normal discount:
- $274.99: The previous low cited by Chrome Unboxed.
- $249.99: The August 2, 2025 price described as the outlet’s lowest tracked price—$25 below the previous low.
- $279.99: Later deal coverage reported the same 8GB bundle at this price in September and December 2025.

The most important qualification is timing: the $249.99 price was reported on August 2, 2025, and was not verified as an active promotion in the available August 2026 evidence. If you find a current listing, verify the exact 8GB SKU and accessories rather than assuming every “Chromebook Duet 11” listing is the same model.
