Stumble Guys 0.40 is an old build, not the current official mobile release. As of August 18, 2026, the Google Play listing showed version 0.101, updated August 13, and the U.S. App Store listed version 0.101, dated August 4. Scopely does not provide an official 0.40 APK-and-OBB download. For supported installation and updates, use Google Play on Android or the App Store on iPhone and iPad.
Is Stumble Guys 0.40 still available?
No official store listing identifies 0.40 as the current version. The version details below are from the listings checked on August 18, 2026; releases and availability can vary by store region and device.

Those listings establish the current store versions checked, not whether an older 0.40 build can ever run. An old client might install on some Android devices, but that does not guarantee it will launch correctly, preserve progress, or connect to the live game. An online game can reject an outdated client or require an update.

Is there an official Stumble Guys 0.40 APK and OBB?
No official Scopely page in the available official distribution and support channels offers a standalone 0.40 APK and OBB. The official update instructions direct Android players to Google Play and iOS players to the App Store; they do not provide archived APK, OBB, or IPA bundles. A third-party page calling files “official,” “original,” or “latest” does not make them Scopely-endorsed. Some Android download pages distribute an app package separately from game data, but filenames and version labels can be falsified, and files can be incomplete, modified, or bundled with unwanted software. The official current update instructions do not ask players to find or manually place an OBB file.
Install or update the current version on Android
- Open the Google Play Store and search for Stumble Guys.
- Open the listing and confirm it is Scopely’s game before installing.
- Tap Install. If the game is already installed and an update is available, tap Update.
- Launch the game and use the account method associated with your progress.
Google Play provides the official Android listing at play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kitkagames.fallbuddies. Store installation supplies the supported listing and update path; it does not offer a choice of historical version such as 0.40.

Install or update on iPhone and iPad
- Open the App Store and search for Stumble Guys.
- Check that the seller is Scopely, Inc.
- Tap Get or the cloud-download icon. If the game is installed, tap Update when shown.
- Check that the device meets the listing’s iOS or iPadOS requirement.
The U.S. App Store listing requires iOS 13.0 or later and identifies the app as free with in-app purchases. Compatibility and availability can differ by region or device; check your own store listing at the App Store page.
Why APK and OBB are not iPhone or iPad download options
APK is an Android application package. OBB is an Android-associated game-data package; neither is an iOS installation format. On iPhone or iPad, install Stumble Guys from Apple’s App Store. An unofficial IPA file is not an equivalent official route and can bring signing, security, compatibility, and account concerns.

What are the risks of an old or unofficial build?
An archive is not necessarily malicious, but a file from outside the official channels is unverified and unsupported. A successful installation screen does not establish that the package is authentic or safe.
- Security: Repacked files may contain malware, adware, or code intended to steal credentials. Requests to disable Play Protect, grant unrelated permissions, use a separate “installer” or “launcher,” or enter a download password are warning signs.
- Server and account access: An old or modified client may fail to connect, demand an update, or otherwise interfere with access. Do not assume it will work online or that a particular outcome, such as a ban, is certain.
- Compatibility and updates: A build may depend on older Android behavior or services, conflict with the installed app’s signature, or lack a working update path. A separate data file may be incomplete or intended for a different build.
- Progress: Changing versions or removing an installation can affect local data. Before reinstalling, verify that progress is linked to the supported account method you use; recovery is not guaranteed in every case.
Troubleshoot an update or installation problem
If the game says an update is required
- Open Google Play or the App Store directly and search for Stumble Guys.
- Install the update offered by that store rather than replacing the game with an unfamiliar download.
- If no update appears, close and reopen the store, check your connection and available storage, then restart the device.
- If the prompt persists, check the official Stumble Guys website for known issues and support guidance. The official site advises using the latest version on a supported device before reporting a bug.
If the game is unavailable in your store
Availability may depend on country or store-account region, device compatibility, operating-system version, age settings or parental controls. Storage problems, a store-account session issue, or a temporary listing change may also affect access. Check the listing using your own store account and consult official support rather than bypassing the restriction with an APK mirror. Changing regions, sideloading, or using an emulator is not a guaranteed fix.

If you see “App not installed” or “OBB not found”
These messages can result from a conflicting app, a signature mismatch, an incompatible or incomplete file, insufficient storage, or data intended for another package version. With an unverified archive, the message does not prove which cause applies. Avoid removing your existing game until you have checked that your account progress is linked or recoverable; prefer the official store installation and update path.
