Yes—Streacom’s SG10 is designed to cool selected GeForce RTX 4080 cards without GPU fans. But it does not take an ordinary RTX 4080 with its factory cooler still attached. The card must be a model that fits Streacom’s compatibility list, and its stock cooler must be removed and replaced with SG10 cooling hardware, including a model-specific coldplate.
The SG10 is a complete passive cooling system built into a very large, expensive case—not a conventional chassis with an oversized heatsink. Streacom rates its GPU loop for up to 350 W and its CPU loop for up to 250 W. Those are manufacturer ratings, not guarantees of a particular temperature or sustained clock speed in every room and workload.

How the SG10 moves heat without fans
The SG10 uses two separate pump-free loop-heat-pipe cooling systems, one for the CPU and one for the GPU. Each system transfers heat from a component to a large external condenser. The case’s finned sections then release that heat into the surrounding air by natural convection. Streacom describes the system as loop heat pipe cooling, developed with Calyos.
In simplified terms, heat enters a coldplate and warms a dielectric refrigerant inside a sealed loop. The refrigerant evaporates; vapor travels to the condenser, where it gives up heat to the air and condenses. The liquid then returns through the loop. The design uses an evaporator and capillary action rather than a conventional electrically driven water-pump system.

That does not make the heat disappear. It moves the heat from the CPU and GPU to the SG10’s large external surfaces, which still need open air around them. Fanless operation trades fan noise for substantial size, hot surfaces, reliance on natural convection, and tighter installation requirements. The case should not be enclosed in a cabinet or placed where its condenser fins are blocked.
What the RTX 4080 demonstration established—and what it did not
At Computex 2023, Streacom demonstrated an SG10 prototype with an Intel Core i9-13900K and an Asus GeForce RTX 4080. Tom’s Hardware reported that the setup was handling a combined thermal load exceeding 600 W. That is evidence that the concept was demonstrated with an RTX 4080, not proof that every card bearing that GPU name will work or that every configuration will sustain a particular performance level.
The public demonstration was not a full independent review with published long-duration gaming temperatures, ambient conditions, clock behavior, or throttling data. A short demonstration cannot establish how a system will behave after its components and passive condensers reach thermal equilibrium during hours of gaming, rendering, or compute work.

Streacom rates the SG10 for up to 250 W on the CPU side and up to 350 W on the GPU side, describing the combined capacity as more than 600 W. Treat those figures as design ratings. They do not promise that any CPU and GPU drawing those amounts will hold their maximum boost clocks at any room temperature. The two components share the room’s capacity to absorb heat, and modern processors can boost until they encounter thermal or power limits.
RTX 4080 compatibility is model-specific
“RTX 4080 compatible” does not mean that every RTX 4080 fits. Cards using the same GPU chip can have different printed circuit boards, component positions, and clearances. The coldplate must line up with the GPU die, and the memory, voltage-regulator components, and mounting hardware must also suit the card.
Streacom’s compatibility information distinguishes Match, Candidate, and Incompatible entries. A Candidate is not the same as a fully validated Match. Check the exact manufacturer and model on the SG10 compatibility list and the coldplate-choice page before buying a GPU or coldplate.

These are examples, not a complete compatibility list. RTX 4080 Super variants also have differing statuses; some are supported, while others are candidates or incompatible. The manufacturer’s current model-level listing is the relevant reference, not the GPU family name.
Installing a compatible card is an invasive conversion
The SG10 GPU installation is substantially more involved than fitting a normal graphics card. The stock heatsink and fans must come off, and the card must be fitted with the appropriate SG10 coldplate and VRM and memory cooling components. The converted card then mounts on the SG10’s diagonal support system, with the evaporator positioned to contact the cooling assembly.
- Verify the exact card model and its status in Streacom’s compatibility information.
- Obtain the coldplate kit specified for that model before taking the card apart.
- Remove the factory cooler and install the coldplate and supporting cooling hardware according to the relevant instructions.
- Fit the card to the case, carefully checking alignment, mounting pressure, cable clearance, and contact.
- After assembly, monitor GPU core, hotspot, memory, and VRM temperatures during sustained loads.
Streacom’s installation guide warns that removing the stock cooler may invalidate the graphics card’s warranty. Disassembly can also damage the PCB, connectors, screws, or thermal interfaces. Check the card maker’s warranty policy first and keep the original cooler and hardware. The SG10 guide does not replace model-specific instructions for taking apart each manufacturer’s card.

The SG10 is not a compact silent-PC enclosure. It measures approximately 608 × 520 × 268 mm, or about 84.3 liters. Streacom’s current product information gives the standard glass-panel configuration a weight of roughly 18 kg; older specification material lists a different figure, so weight can vary by version and configuration. The diagonal mounting structure, open frame, aluminum blocks, copper tubing, and external fins are all part of the cooling design.
It supports Mini-ITX through E-ATX motherboards, though E-ATX fit depends on layout. The specifications list SFX and ATX power supplies up to 300 mm long, space for up to five 3.5-inch and five 2.5-inch drives, and an included 30-cm PCIe Gen 4 riser cable. Actual drive combinations, cable routing, and component clearance depend on the build.

The cooling system can operate without fans, but the case also supports up to four 120-mm fans mounted directly to its frame, with additional arrangements possible using brackets. Fans can provide more margin in a hot room, when both processor and graphics card are heavily loaded, or when lower temperatures matter more than absolute silence. Their presence changes the system from strictly passive operation.
Nor does the SG10 automatically make the whole computer fanless. A conventional PSU may run a fan, and storage, electrical coil noise, or other components can still make noise. A genuinely zero-fan build requires choosing the PSU and every other component accordingly.
Copper Edition and current purchase terms
The Copper Edition uses full-copper condensers and is limited to 500 units, according to Streacom. The company says it adds about 2.6 kg compared with the standard version. Copper may improve heat transfer in the condenser assembly, but the available evidence does not establish a specific temperature improvement. It does not change GPU compatibility: an unsuitable card remains unsuitable.
Streacom’s shop currently lists the SG10 Copper Edition at €1,399. The listing requires a pledge voucher and describes the case as pre-order or made-to-order. Streacom says new orders are expected to be ready about three to four weeks after ordering under its current manufacturing approach. The product ships from Europe; shipping, taxes, duties, import charges, and any applicable U.S. tariff treatment should be checked at checkout. The listed price is for the case and cooling platform, not a complete PC, graphics card, power supply, or other components.

Who is the SG10 for?
The SG10 makes sense for someone who puts low noise and an unusual passive design ahead of compactness, cost, and easy upgrades. It is most plausible for an experienced builder who is comfortable with GPU disassembly, can verify the precise card and coldplate match, and has an open place to put a large, heavy case.
It is a poor fit if you want plug-and-play assembly, routine graphics-card upgrades, a compact gaming PC, or guaranteed low temperatures during long compute workloads. It is also a risky choice if you cannot accept possible warranty consequences, run a hot room, or need predictable support and easy-to-source replacement parts. Compatibility is not future-proof: later GPU models need their own validation, and Streacom’s list includes newer cards with differing statuses.
