Samsung’s buy page listed U.S. prices of $1,999.99 for 256GB, $2,199.99 for 512GB, and $2,499.99 for 1TB. Availability can vary by color and storage, and some configurations may be out of stock. A Samsung March 2026 MSRP document lists different prices for some larger storage tiers, so use the price shown for the exact configuration in the live consumer checkout rather than mixing reference prices. The arithmetic for the base model is straightforward: $1,999.99 minus the maximum advertised $1,000 credit equals $999.99 before tax. That is a best-case effective price, not a universal sale price. It excludes sales tax, accessories, optional protection, and any carrier-plan costs. Samsung also displayed 24-month financing of $83.34 per month for the base model; financing spreads the purchase price but does not discount it.
How Samsung’s trade-in offer works
Samsung describes the Fold7 promotion as up to $1,000 in instant trade-in credit. The amount is determined by the device and condition you enter during checkout, and Samsung can change eligible models and values. An older phone, damaged device, or model not on the eligible list may receive less—or may not qualify. Treat the quote shown for your exact phone as the offer, not the headline maximum.

Samsung’s conditions generally require the trade-in phone to power on, hold a charge, and have a functioning display, with no prohibited damage. It must not be blacklisted; required account and device locks must be removed, and the phone must be reset. A cracked device is not automatically eligible for this promotion or for the maximum credit: enter its exact model and condition in Samsung’s trade-in flow and review the terms for that offer. Samsung’s trade-in program provides general program information.
Watch the deadline: Samsung generally requires the old phone to be shipped within 15 days of receiving the new one. If the phone arrives late, fails the stated requirements, or its actual condition materially differs from the checkout description, Samsung says it may charge back the anticipated credit. Its offer terms also describe cases where an ineligible trade-in can lead to a chargeback minus $25. Read the current terms attached to your order before shipping.

Protect yourself from a trade-in dispute
- Photograph the phone from multiple angles and record its IMEI or serial number before packing.
- Take a photo showing it powered on, then reset it and document that step.
- Remove SIM cards and eSIM profiles, sign out of accounts, and disable activation locks and other device locks.
- Keep the shipment receipt and tracking number, and follow Samsung’s packaging instructions.
- If possible, keep access to your old phone until Samsung confirms it has accepted the trade-in.
How to find your actual Fold7 price
- Open the Samsung Fold7 purchase page and choose the storage, color, and unlocked or carrier version you want.
- Enter the exact trade-in model and honestly select its condition. Save the displayed credit and any conditions.
- Compare that credit with realistic private-sale proceeds after fees and shipping. A private sale might net more, but it takes time and carries payment and shipping risks.
- Check the checkout total, tax, financing terms, any required plan, and the cost of accessories or protection you actually want.
- Compare the resulting total with current Best Buy listings and any carrier offer. Do not add a gift card, trade-in, and discount together unless the relevant terms expressly permit stacking.
- Save the order and trade-in confirmation. If you accept Samsung’s trade-in, ship the old device within the deadline shown for your order.
Samsung direct, Best Buy, or a carrier?
Samsung direct is the clearest option for an unlocked purchase. It suits buyers who want to keep their current carrier, avoid a new-line requirement, or retain the flexibility to switch. The advertised trade-in credit is applied at checkout, but Samsung says its trade-in generally cannot be combined with other Samsung, carrier, or retailer promotions unless the applicable terms specifically allow it.

Verify whether a listing is new or refurbished, who sells it, whether it is unlocked, the return window, the warranty, and any condition or insurance limits. The $200 e-gift-card offer found in prior listings ended August 6, 2026, so it is not evidence of an active offer on August 18.

A carrier offer can win for the right customer. But a low monthly device payment or “free” phone may depend on a premium plan, a new line, financing, and bill credits paid over 24 or 36 months. Leaving early can mean losing future credits or owing the remaining device balance. Compare the whole commitment:

Use the incremental plan cost—the difference between the qualifying plan and the plan you would otherwise buy—to judge whether the carrier promotion is worthwhile. Do not compare a multi-year bill-credit headline directly with an instant unlocked discount.

A refurbished or open-box Fold7 can make sense if the discount is substantial and the seller gives you clear protections. Before buying, confirm the seller of record, cosmetic grade, return period, warranty coverage, battery and hinge condition, unlocked status, and whether Samsung Care+ or other protection is available for that device. A refurbished phone may not have the same warranty or coverage options as a new one. If those terms are vague, the lower sticker price may not compensate for the uncertainty.

Also compare a discounted Galaxy Z Fold6 or a conventional flagship if you do not specifically need a folding display. By August 2026, newer Galaxy foldables are also on the market; compare their live prices before committing to an older generation. The available information does not establish a definitive current-generation price or specification comparison, so make that call from current listings rather than assuming the Fold7 is automatically the better buy.

- Promotional subscriptions: Samsung’s offer page advertised six months of a SiriusXM streaming package and two months of Lightroom for qualifying new subscribers. Lightroom requires a payment method and automatically renews at the then-current price unless canceled; the page displayed $11.99 per month plus applicable taxes. Treat subscriptions as bonuses only if you would otherwise pay for them, and confirm the live package and terms.
Who should buy at this price?
- Best fit: An unlocked-phone buyer with a high-value eligible trade-in, a need for the Fold7’s large folding display, and the ability to meet Samsung’s shipping deadline.
- Without a trade-in: Compare Samsung’s live price with Best Buy’s current new, open-box, or refurbished inventory and the price of the Fold6. Do not assume the maximum trade-in headline makes Samsung the cheapest route for you.
- Carrier loyalist: Take a carrier deal only if its plan suits your needs and the full bill-credit commitment beats buying unlocked.
- Skip or wait: Reconsider if your trade-in quote is low, the configuration you want is unavailable, refurbished terms are unclear, or a newer model costs only modestly more.
