The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is discontinued, so there is no dependable current official new-phone price in Pakistan. Online price pages show conflicting or stale figures; any handset you find is likely used, refurbished, imported or shop-warrantied. If you are considering one, judge the individual phone—not the old catalogue price—and verify its PTA status, exact model, screen and battery before paying.
Galaxy S7 Edge price and availability in Pakistan
Samsung announced the Galaxy S7 series on February 21, 2016, with the S7 Edge released in March in the launch markets covered by Samsung’s announcement. That is the international launch timeline, not a confirmed Pakistan retail launch date. The phone is now a legacy device, not a current Samsung retail model. Pakistan listings identify it as discontinued: WhatMobile lists it as discontinued, as does TechJuice’s dual-SIM listing.
There is no reliable single price to quote for a new Galaxy S7 Edge in Pakistan. PriceOye displays Rs. 48,999 while also marking the phone discontinued, so that figure should not be treated as an actionable current offer. PhoneBolee shows Rs. 0 and describes it as used, which is not a meaningful valuation. These catalogue signals do not establish live stock or a fair used-market price.

Used prices can vary sharply with PTA approval, battery health, screen condition, storage, model number and city. A boxed phone is not necessarily new or factory-sealed stock. Compare actual, testable offers rather than relying on a price-portal number.

Specifications are not identical across all S7 Edge phones. Processor, SIM setup, LTE bands, storage, firmware and carrier restrictions depend on the exact variant. See Samsung’s specification sheet and check the model number before buying.
Review: what still holds up—and what does not
Display and design
The 5.5-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display remains the S7 Edge’s standout feature. Its high pixel density, deep blacks and strong contrast still make photos and video look appealing, while the curved edges give the phone a distinctive look. The glass-and-metal construction feels more premium than many basic phones, but the curved glass is also a liability: impact damage can be costly to address, and a replacement screen may not match the original for brightness, touch response or colour.
Inspect both curved edges carefully. Look for cracks, scratches, burn-in, dead pixels, flicker, coloured lines and areas where touch does not register. A clean-looking front does not rule out a poor replacement panel.

The 12MP rear camera’s f/1.7 lens, Dual Pixel autofocus and optical image stabilization were strong features for a 2016 flagship. A sound unit can still take pleasing daylight pictures and focus quickly, but it lacks the newer image-processing and computational-camera features found in current phones. Test autofocus, the flash and video recording rather than relying on sample claims. The front camera is 5MP.

The Exynos 8890 and Snapdragon 820 were flagship chips in their time; they are now old hardware. For calls, messaging, music and light browsing, a well-functioning example may still be usable. Do not buy it expecting modern gaming performance, smooth support for every current app or a long useful life.
Battery, charging and ageing hardware
The original battery is rated at 3,600mAh, but capacity on a phone this old cannot be inferred from its specification sheet. A worn battery may drain quickly, shut down under load, overheat or charge slowly. The battery is not user-removable, and swelling can push up the rear glass. Check for a lifted back, test charging for at least 10–15 minutes, and watch for unusual heat. A replacement battery may be of uncertain quality.
The phone includes wireless charging and a 3.5mm headphone jack, but its wired port is microUSB 2.0—not USB-C. IP68 was its original factory rating; it is not a promise that an old, dropped, opened or repaired handset remains waterproof. Do not test a used S7 Edge by putting it in water.
Software and security
The S7 Edge launched with Android 6.0, and TechJuice lists Android 8.0 Oreo as its upgrade ceiling. That is far behind current Android releases; do not assume current Samsung security patches or modern Android features. App support varies by application and may change, so check the specific banking, work or authentication apps you rely on before choosing the phone as a primary device. For someone who needs current security support and dependable long-term app compatibility, an older S7 Edge is a poor fit.

Check the exact model, IMEIs and PTA status
“Galaxy S7 Edge” covers international Exynos models, Snapdragon models, single- and dual-SIM versions, and carrier-specific variants. Examples include SM-G935F (international Exynos single-SIM), SM-G935FD (international Exynos dual-SIM), SM-G9350 (Chinese-market Snapdragon), and SM-G935W8 (Canadian). Other carrier models may differ in bands, SIM behaviour, firmware or lock status. Do not assume a model is suitable for your network just because it powers on.
- Open Settings → About phone and note the full model number.
- Dial *#06# and record every IMEI shown. Samsung explains these identification methods in its Pakistan support guide.
- Compare the on-screen IMEI with the box or device documentation where available. Treat a mismatch as a reason to stop and resolve the issue before buying.
- Verify each IMEI through the current official PTA/DIRBS channel before payment. A seller’s “PTA approved” claim is not proof; this is especially important for dual-SIM phones.
- Insert your intended Pakistani SIM, make a call and test mobile data. Test both SIM slots on a dual-SIM model. Confirm the phone is not carrier-locked and that its network bands work for your intended use.
Used-phone inspection checklist
Ask for time to test the actual handset and, ideally, a return or checking period. A seller’s “10/10 condition” description is not a substitute for inspection.
- Screen: Display white, black, red, green and blue images at low and high brightness. Check for burn-in, lines, dead zones, flicker and damage along both curved edges. Drag an icon across the whole panel to test touch response.
- Battery and body: Look for rear-glass lifting, which can indicate swelling. Charge for 10–15 minutes and watch for erratic charging or unusual heat.
- Calls and connectivity: Test your SIM, calls and mobile data. Check Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS; test NFC if you need it. On dual-SIM models, test both slots.
- Cameras and audio: Test rear and front cameras, autofocus, flash and a short 4K/30fps recording. Check the speaker, microphone, headphone jack and proximity sensor during a call.
- Controls and access: Test the fingerprint reader and physical buttons. Confirm the phone can be reset and activated without the previous owner’s Google or Samsung account.
- Repair history: Ask whether the display or battery has been replaced and whether the display is original. Look for visible adhesive or poor fit; replacement parts may have weaker brightness, colour or touch performance.
- Ownership and reset: Have the seller remove their accounts and factory-reset the phone before you complete the purchase.
Should you buy a Galaxy S7 Edge now?
Consider it only if you specifically want the legacy flagship’s compact 5.5-inch AMOLED experience, headphone jack, microSD support or wireless charging, and you find a very low-priced, fully tested, PTA-approved unit. Its display and old flagship materials remain appealing, but those strengths do not cancel the battery, screen-repair, software and compatibility risks.
Skip it as a primary phone if you need current security updates, reliable long-term access to banking and other apps, heavy gaming, USB-C, 5G or warranty-backed service. Also avoid paying near the cost of a newer budget phone for a device with an old battery and uncertain repair history.
If you want a new Samsung phone instead, compare current Pakistan models rather than a stale S7 Edge listing. Samsung’s Galaxy A07 product page lists a 6.7-inch 90Hz display, USB-C and a 5,000mAh battery; Samsung states a six-year protection/update promise on its 64GB A07 page. The newer phone will not reproduce the S7 Edge’s AMOLED panel, old flagship camera hardware or wireless charging, but a fresh battery, newer software and a warranty path may make it better total value. Samsung’s Galaxy A17 page is another current-model reference, with a 50MP main camera listed. Check live Pakistan price and stock directly; those can change.
