For a U.S. buyer who wants an unlocked Galaxy S25 without a trade-in, the clearest deal in the available pricing was $699.99 for 128GB or $799.99 for 256GB on Samsung product listings—$100 below the respective $799.99 and $899.99 standard prices. Those discounts may not appear on every product page or remain available, so confirm the exact model and cart total before ordering. Samsung also advertised trade-in savings of up to $582, but that maximum depends on the device and its condition. Carrier offers can lower the phone price further, usually through bill credits tied to a qualifying plan and continued service.

The unlocked figures are not guaranteed live prices: Samsung pages and search results showed different amounts, and stock varied by color and configuration. The linked Samsung unlocked S25 page is a useful starting point, but the checkout price for the selected storage and color is the one to compare.

Best deal by buyer type
- Best no-strings starting point: Check Samsung’s unlocked 128GB listing for the observed $699.99 price. If it is still available, it is a clear discount without requiring a new wireless plan or trade-in.
- Best for a recent phone trade-in: Get Samsung’s device-specific quote and compare the resulting checkout price with carrier offers and the value of selling your old phone yourself. The advertised maximum of $582 is not a promised amount for every device.
- Best for an existing carrier customer: A bill-credit offer may win if you already pay for the qualifying plan, meet the upgrade or trade-in rules, and intend to keep service for the whole credit period.
- Best for someone switching carriers: Compare the total cost of service over the commitment period with an unlocked purchase. A larger phone subsidy can be outweighed by a more expensive plan.
- Best 256GB value: At the observed discounted prices, 256GB cost $100 more than 128GB. That is worthwhile if you regularly store large games, videos, or offline media, or expect to keep the phone for years.
- Best lower-priced alternative to investigate: Compare the S25 FE, listed at $649.99 for 128GB and $709.99 for 256GB in Samsung’s March 2026 MSRP file. Those are MSRP figures, not a guarantee of today’s checkout price.
Samsung unlocked pricing and what it buys you
Samsung’s standard U.S. unlocked prices found for the S25 were $799.99 for 128GB and $899.99 for 256GB. Separate product results showed each configuration $100 lower: $699.99 and $799.99, respectively. Because Samsung pages showed inconsistent prices and some variants out of stock, treat the lower figures as observed offers, not a permanent price promise. Buying unlocked avoids making the phone discount contingent on staying with a specific carrier’s promotional-credit schedule. It does not necessarily mean every carrier, plan, or international network will work exactly as you expect; confirm compatibility for your service before purchase. Samsung’s product page showed a financing example of $33.34 per month for 24 months on an $799.99 configuration. Financing approval, taxes, current terms, and the final price affect the actual payment. A monthly payment is not itself a discount.
Samsung says the S25 purchase does not include a charger. If you need one, include its cost in your comparison rather than treating the listed phone price as the complete setup cost. Samsung has also advertised six months of SiriusXM access with an S25-series purchase; the offer has automatic renewal unless canceled, so regard it as a subscription perk—not a reduction in the phone’s price. How to judge Samsung trade-in offers
Samsung displayed up to $582 in trade-in value on one S25 product result. “Up to” is a ceiling for qualifying devices under the applicable promotion, not a typical or guaranteed credit. The actual quote depends on the old phone’s model and condition and on the current offer terms. Damage, a device that will not power on, an activation lock, or unresolved financing can affect eligibility or value.

Samsung’s offer terms say trade-in deals generally cannot be combined with other promotions unless the terms specifically allow it. Do not assume that a trade-in credit stacks with a separate carrier or retailer offer.

Trade-in checklist
- Confirm the exact model and condition category in the offer, including rules for cracks, body damage, and power-on status.
- Make sure the phone is yours to trade and remove activation locks or account locks; check whether any financing must be paid off.
- Back up your data, sign out of accounts, remove payment cards and SIMs as appropriate, then factory-reset the device.
- Photograph the phone’s condition and keep the trade-in confirmation, packaging details, and shipment tracking.
- Send it by the stated deadline. If the final assessed value changes, compare the revised credit with the amount you agreed to and contact the seller using your saved records.
Carrier Galaxy S25 deals: read past the monthly price
A carrier’s “free” or very low-cost phone usually means that qualifying monthly bill credits offset some or all of an installment payment. It may still require a new line, a port-in, a qualifying plan, an eligible trade-in, taxes, and activation or upgrade fees. The credits often arrive over time rather than reducing the amount due immediately. If you cancel service or lose eligibility before they finish, you may forfeit future credits and owe the remaining device balance.
Use this comparison rather than the advertised device payment alone:
Estimated carrier cost = required plan cost + device taxes + activation or upgrade fees + any device balance you may owe − bill credits − trade-in value.
For a customer already paying for the required plan, the incremental cost of keeping that plan may be small, making credits attractive. For someone choosing a more expensive plan only to obtain the phone, include the plan-price difference over the whole credit period. Add insurance only if you actually want it; it is not part of the phone discount.

Verizon
Verizon’s promotional pages included the S25 in a selection of Samsung promotional or free-phone inventory. Search results also showed figures such as about $6.94 per month and a $449.99 retail reference across promotional pages, but those results did not establish one universal S25 offer. Check the exact S25 configuration and offer at checkout. Confirm the eligible plan, trade-in list, whether the deal is for an upgrade or new line, credit duration, phone-locking terms, and what happens if you change plans. T-Mobile
T-Mobile’s Samsung deals page showed offers with and without trade-in, but the exact S25 terms depend on the live offer and account eligibility. T-Mobile warns that credits can stop if an account is canceled and the remaining financed balance may become due; taxes may be calculated on the full pre-credit price. Check the offer’s qualifying plan, trade-in rules, monthly-credit schedule, and any line requirement on T-Mobile’s Samsung deals page.
AT&T
AT&T’s deals page listed Samsung promotions, but the available research did not confirm a universal current S25 offer. Treat AT&T as a place to check for an account-specific upgrade or clearance promotion—not as a guaranteed S25 deal. Confirm the exact S25 SKU and all plan, trade-in, line, and credit terms on AT&T’s deals page before comparing it with an unlocked purchase.

Best Buy’s broad Samsung listings mixed unlocked and carrier-activated products, and some offers required activation or trade-in. A promotion visible in search results ended August 6, 2026, so it was expired by the August 16 pricing snapshot. Category pages can also mix the S25 with the S25 FE, S25 Edge, S25 Ultra, and newer models. Look up the exact S25 storage and carrier SKU on the product page, confirm the offer’s end date and final cart price, and do not count a gift card unless the current terms apply to the product you are buying. Is 128GB enough, or should you pay $100 more for 256GB?
The observed price gap was $100 at both standard and discounted pricing. Choose 128GB if you rely on cloud storage, stream rather than download media, take relatively few large videos, or want the lowest upfront cost. Choose 256GB if you install large games, keep films or music offline, record lots of video, or plan to keep the phone for several years without routinely managing storage. The right choice depends on how you use the phone and how long you intend to keep it—not simply on which number is larger.
Should you buy the S25 or compare the S25 FE?
The S25 FE merits a price check when the standard S25 is close to its $799.99 standard price: Samsung’s March 2026 U.S. MSRP file listed the FE at $649.99 for 128GB and $709.99 for 256GB. MSRP is a reference, not a current sale price. Compare live prices and verify the differences in processor, cameras, materials, charging, display, software support, and trade-in eligibility for the specific models on offer. A lower price alone does not make the FE a better fit; nor does the standard S25 automatically justify a premium. The available research does not establish a current live price or specification comparison with newer S26 models, so check Samsung’s current listings if you are considering the latest generation.
The S25 can still make sense when its direct discount is substantial and you want a compact flagship-style phone without tying the purchase to carrier credits. It is a previous-generation flagship, however, and a weak discount or a restrictive carrier deal can make another model more appealing. Compare the actual price difference against the features you will use, not the model-year label alone.

Before you place the order
- Match the SKU: Confirm S25 versus S25 FE, storage size, color, and unlocked or carrier-specific version.
- Check the final price: Verify that a search-result discount appears in the cart; separate taxes, shipping, and fees.
- Read trade-in conditions: Check device eligibility, condition rules, submission deadline, and whether the offer stacks with other promotions.
- Calculate carrier service cost: Record the qualifying plan, required line or port-in, credit duration, fees, and early-cancellation consequences.
- Confirm stock and delivery: Availability varied by color and storage; make sure the listing is in stock and the delivery timing works for you.
- Review returns and financing: Check the seller’s return rules, any restocking terms, financing cost, and carrier-lock conditions before committing.
- Save the offer: Keep a screenshot or copy of the quoted price, trade-in value, and promotion terms in case the final credit differs.
- Budget for essentials: The phone does not include a charger, so add one if you need it.
