Yes—the Samsung Galaxy Book5 Pro 360 has already launched. Samsung opened U.S. preorders on September 6, 2024, and general sales began September 24, 2024 through Samsung.com and BestBuy.com. It is not an upcoming or merely rumored laptop. The original U.S. starting price was $1,699.99; Samsung’s U.S. store page checked in August 2026 displayed a 16-inch Core Ultra 7/16GB/1TB model at $1,999.99, although prices and stock vary by model, promotion, region and checkout.
The Pro 360 is a premium 16-inch Windows 11 convertible built around a 3K 120Hz AMOLED touchscreen, included S Pen and Intel’s Core Ultra Series 2 platform. It is most attractive to buyers who will use pen input, tablet modes or Samsung Galaxy integration—not to shoppers needing discrete graphics, 32GB-plus memory or a lightweight tablet.
Launch timeline: September 2024, not CES 2025
| Event | Date | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| U.S. announcement and preorder | September 6, 2024 | Preorders opened at Samsung.com and BestBuy.com. |
| U.S. general availability | September 24, 2024 | Retail sales began. |
| Broader Galaxy Book5 announcement | January 6, 2025 | Samsung introduced the Galaxy Book5 Pro and Galaxy Book5 360 at CES. This was not the original Pro 360 U.S. launch. |
Samsung later described availability in selected markets including the United States, Canada, France, Germany and the United Kingdom. Exact configurations are market-specific, so a global specification sheet should not be treated as a guarantee that every model is sold in the U.S.
Price and current availability
Samsung announced a U.S. launch MSRP from $1,699.99. That is the launch price, not a promise of today’s street price. The Samsung U.S. purchase page checked in August 2026 listed a gray 16-inch configuration with Intel Core Ultra 7 Series 2, 16GB memory and a 1TB SSD at $1,999.99. See the Samsung U.S. store for the exact model and checkout price.

What changed from the Galaxy Book4 Pro 360?
The major upgrade is Intel’s Core Ultra Series 2 (“Lunar Lake”) platform, which adds a stronger integrated NPU and newer connectivity. Wi-Fi 7 replaces Wi-Fi 6E on comparable previous-generation models, while the basic concept remains a 16-inch 3K AMOLED convertible with pen support.

Samsung claims up to 18% higher CPU performance, up to 16% higher GPU performance and up to 47 TOPS of NPU performance versus the Galaxy Book4 Pro 360. Those are Samsung’s comparisons, not universal review results; actual gains depend on the predecessor configuration, software, power mode and thermals. Details appear on Samsung’s product page.

AI features: hardware, Copilot+ and Galaxy extras are different things
On-device AI hardware
The processor’s NPU is dedicated to AI workloads and is advertised at up to 47 TOPS. TOPS describes a platform capability, not the speed or quality of every application.
Copilot+ PC features
Samsung markets the Pro 360 as supporting Copilot+ PC features. Availability depends on Windows, Microsoft and regional software requirements and can change with updates.

Samsung Galaxy features
AI Select can use the S Pen, cursor or fingertip to select text, images or QR codes for search or identification. Phone Link, Quick Share, Samsung Notes and cross-device tools can connect the laptop with compatible Galaxy phones, tablets, TVs and monitors. Samsung says Galaxy AI functions require a compatible phone, Samsung Account and internet connection; other features may require updated Samsung Settings and specific operating-system versions. Consult the Samsung product page and global announcement for requirements.
These ecosystem benefits are most valuable to existing Galaxy owners. A Windows buyer without Samsung hardware should judge the computer on its screen, pen, performance, support and price instead.
Display, S Pen and convertible design
The 3K AMOLED panel is the Pro 360’s clearest hardware advantage. Its 16:10 shape provides more vertical workspace than 16:9, 120Hz adaptive refresh makes scrolling and pen movement smoother, and 10-point touch supports hands-on navigation. The S Pen is included rather than an optional add-on.

- Good uses: handwritten notes, document markup, diagrams, photo retouching, presentations in tent mode and media viewing.
- Important trade-off: a 16-inch convertible weighing 3.72 pounds is large for prolonged one-handed tablet use. It is better as a laptop that occasionally becomes a tablet than as a small tablet replacement.
- AMOLED delivers high contrast and saturated color, but buyers who prioritize maximum endurance or have OLED burn-in concerns may prefer a different panel type. High resolution and 120Hz refresh can also use more power than a basic 60Hz display.
Performance, battery and graphics expectations
Battery
Samsung advertises up to 25 hours of battery life. That is a manufacturer “up to” claim, not an independently verified mixed-use guarantee. Brightness, refresh rate, wireless activity, video playback, workload and power mode all affect runtime. The 76Wh battery and included 65W USB-C charger are the concrete hardware figures.
Integrated graphics
Intel Arc integrated graphics are a substantial step up from basic integrated solutions, making the laptop suitable for office multitasking, streaming, photo editing, light-to-moderate creative work and casual or esports gaming at sensible settings. There is no discrete Nvidia GPU, so it is a poor choice for high-end gaming, CUDA software, heavy 3D rendering or demanding video projects that benefit from dedicated graphics.
Memory longevity
The cited U.S. configuration has 16GB RAM. Samsung’s comparison information lists 16GB for the Pro 360 and references 256V/258V processors, while other Galaxy Book5 models may offer 32GB. Buyers should assume the listed memory is what they will keep and confirm upgradeability for the exact model number before paying. Sixteen gigabytes is comfortable for normal productivity but less reassuring for virtual machines, large development environments, professional media work or local AI over a long ownership period.
Best Value
- Hybrid Performance: Features the Intel 8-core Ultra 7 258V processor, intelligently designed with 4 Performance-cores and 4 Efficiency-cores. It combines a 2.2GHz base clock with a turbo boost up to 4.8GHz and 12MB Smart Cache for responsive multitasking and efficient power management.
- Vivid Touchscreen Display: Showcases a brilliant 16-inch 2.8K touchscreen with a 120Hz refresh rate, supporting 120% of the DCI-P3 color gamut for incredibly vibrant and fluid visuals, powered by integrated Intel Arc 140V graphics.
- Pro-Grade Connectivity: Equipped for high-performance workflows with 2x Thunderbolt 4 ports for ultimate speed and versatility, 1x USB-A 3.2, 1x HDMI 2.1 supporting up to 8K@60Hz output, and a dedicated MicroSD card reader for creative professionals.
- Enhanced Productivity Suite: Comes with a backlit keyboard, a built-in fingerprint reader for secure login, and is bundled with a stylus for the included S Pen, offering a complete package for note-taking, sketching, and precise control.

How it compares with Samsung alternatives
| Model | Choose it when | Main compromise |
|---|---|---|
| Galaxy Book5 Pro 360 | You need the 360-degree hinge, touchscreen, S Pen, 3K 120Hz AMOLED and tablet/tent modes. | 16GB U.S. configuration, 3.72-pound tablet mode and no discrete GPU. |
| Galaxy Book5 Pro | You prefer a conventional clamshell, lower weight or a possible 32GB configuration. | No 360-degree conversion or pen-centered use. |
| Galaxy Book5 360 | You want a convertible at a lower tier. | 15.6-inch FHD AMOLED display and less-premium positioning. |
| Galaxy Book4 Ultra | You need GPU-heavy work and can find remaining stock at a good price. | Older, heavier design, although referenced configurations include 32GB memory and discrete Nvidia graphics. |

Who should buy the Galaxy Book5 Pro 360?
It makes sense if you:
- Want a premium Windows convertible and will regularly use the S Pen.
- Value a large, sharp, high-refresh AMOLED screen for study, notes, media or photo work.
- Already own a recent Samsung Galaxy phone or tablet and will use cross-device tools.
- Prefer efficient integrated graphics over a heavier discrete-GPU laptop.
- Do productivity, development, study, note-taking or moderate creative work that fits within 16GB RAM.
Be cautious if you:
- Need 32GB or more memory, upgradeable RAM or workstation-class graphics.
- Want a genuinely light handheld tablet.
- Need sustained heavy-workload battery life rather than an advertised maximum.
- Dislike glossy OLED displays or require a built-in cellular modem.
- Use Linux or specialized enterprise imaging; verify drivers and firmware first.
- Do not own Galaxy devices and would pay a large premium without using Samsung-specific features.
Verdict
The Samsung Galaxy Book5 Pro 360 is an already-available premium 2-in-1 whose strongest case is the combination of a 16-inch 3K 120Hz AMOLED screen, included S Pen, modern Core Ultra Series 2 efficiency and Galaxy-device integration. Its limitations—16GB in the cited U.S. model, 3.72-pound tablet mode and integrated-only graphics—matter as much as its headline AI features. Buy it when pen input, display quality and Samsung continuity are central to your workflow; choose a clamshell, higher-memory model or discrete-GPU laptop when they are not.
