Reinke expanded its RC3 remote irrigation-management family on April 9, 2026, adding RC3 EOS, RC3 WELL and RC3 DUAL alongside RC3 ULTIMATE. The devices connect compatible pivots and water-management equipment to ReinCloud 3, where growers can view status, receive alerts and—depending on the model and equipment—issue remote commands. The key distinction is that these are different levels of monitoring and control, not interchangeable devices or a promise of universal pivot compatibility.
What Reinke added to RC3
The expansion moves RC3 beyond a single full-control option toward a modular family for pivot and well equipment. Reinke describes RC3 EOS as serving most electric pivot brands, RC3 WELL as adding well-station and water information, and RC3 DUAL as an add-on for certain configurations. RC3 ULTIMATE remains the family’s full-control offering for Reinke-equipped pivots. Monitoring is not the same as control
For a grower, the practical difference is how far the system lets them intervene:

- Basic intervention: Start or stop a compatible system remotely.
- Expanded control: Adjust supported functions such as speed or direction, depending on the panel and RC3 configuration.
- Water-source information: Add well, pressure and water-use information where the installation supports it.
A monitoring-first setup may tell you that a pivot has stopped without allowing you to restart it or change its settings. Conversely, a remote command does not mean the system makes irrigation decisions on its own. Reinke describes ReinCloud 3 in terms of monitoring, remote control, alerts, dashboards and sensor integration—not autonomous agronomic scheduling. (ReinCloud information)
Monitoring may be enough when the main goal is to notice a stoppage or check a remote field. More control can be useful when fields are dispersed or a fast response could avoid a drive, but it also makes compatibility, connectivity and operating procedures more important. The announcement provides no independent figures for water savings, energy savings, yield gains or payback, so those should be treated as potential benefits rather than demonstrated results.

Why RC3 WELL changes the picture
A pivot-status dashboard cannot by itself explain every water-delivery problem. A system might report that a pivot is running while pressure at the well is low or the water source is not performing as expected. RC3 WELL is intended to bring well-station information—particularly water pressure and usage—into the wider RC3 setup and link well controls with irrigation equipment. That makes it relevant to farms evaluating the water source and pivot together, rather than only asking whether a machine is moving.
The published description does not establish water-quality testing, contaminant detection or laboratory analysis. Nor does it specify what measurement precision or sensor package is included in every installation. Ask the dealer what the installed system measures and which sensors are part of the quote.

Is RC3 a retrofit?
The product family is relevant to existing equipment: Reinke says RC3 EOS is intended for most electric pivot brands, and RC3 DUAL addresses certain Reinke Standard and competitor-panel configurations. That makes retrofit use a possibility, not a universal plug-and-play promise. Installation can depend on the pivot manufacturer and model, panel, electrical arrangement, available power, wiring, sensors, relays and cellular coverage at the site. A dealer assessment is particularly important for older systems or mixed-brand fleets.
Questions to settle before ordering
Ask the dealer to put the intended configuration and recurring costs in writing. A useful checklist:

- What are the pivot manufacturer, model and control-panel make and model on each machine?
- Is the equipment electric or hydraulic, and does the chosen RC3 product support that configuration?
- Which functions will be visible, and which can actually be controlled remotely on each pivot?
- Does RC3 DUAL require RC3 ULTIMATE for this installation? What base hardware is required for RC3 WELL?
- Are sensors, relays, wiring, panel changes or additional accessories needed? Where will each device be mounted?
- Is cellular or other telemetry service available at both pivot and well locations, and what are the service charges?
- What are the separate costs for hardware, installation, ReinCloud access, connectivity, dealer programming and ongoing support?
- What happens if cellular service, the cloud platform, a sensor or the device loses communication? How are delayed or repeated commands handled?
- How do local controls operate alongside remote commands, and what safety procedures must staff follow?
- What warranty applies to the particular product, purchase location and installation, and what are the renewal or transfer terms?
Reinke’s cited public pages do not list a universal hardware price, installation cost, subscription rate, full panel-compatibility matrix, cellular requirements or outage behavior. Obtain those details for the farm’s specific configuration rather than assuming they are included or uniform.
How it fits alongside other irrigation platforms
Reinke’s expansion matters most to growers considering its product ecosystem or an RC3 connection to compatible mixed-brand equipment. Other vendors also market remote irrigation management, but their product tiers and compatibility claims differ:

These vendor descriptions are not a like-for-like performance test. For a mixed fleet, compare the functions, service arrangements and recurring charges offered for each individual machine—not just a platform’s broad compatibility language.
What the announcement does—and does not—establish
Reinke’s expansion gives growers more ways to connect pivot and well equipment to ReinCloud 3, from monitoring and selected commands to a broader Reinke-centered control setup. It does not establish that all four RC3 products are interchangeable, that every pivot can be retrofitted, or that the system automates irrigation decisions. Public material also does not provide universal pricing, installation requirements, outage behavior or independent savings data. Those uncertainties are central to the purchase decision: get a panel-level compatibility review and an itemized quote before comparing value.
