The Redmi Note 14 Pro+ was genuinely rumored to use MediaTek’s Dimensity 7350, but that chipset did not make it into the officially documented China and India versions. Redmi confirmed Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 for the Pro+ before its September 26, 2024 China launch; Xiaomi’s UK listing instead specifies Dimensity 7300-Ultra. The answer depends on the market, and the 7350 claim is now a historical rumor—not a final specification.
What the original Redmi Note 14 Pro+ leak claimed
On July 29, 2024, early reporting suggested the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ could use a MediaTek Dimensity 7350, sometimes called the “Dimensity 7350 Pro.” The same report described a curved-edge 1.5K OLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and a 50MP triple-camera system, and pointed to a September 2024 China launch. It generally assigned Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 to the Redmi Note 14 Pro and Dimensity 7350 to the Pro+. These were leak claims, not an official specification sheet. Gizmochina’s July 29 report
Why the rumor seemed plausible—and what the evidence could prove
Reports in July and August connected devices appearing in Chinese certification databases with the forthcoming Note 14 family. The timing fit expectations for a September launch, and repeated coverage made the proposed chipset allocation sound increasingly settled. But a certification sighting can indicate that a device is moving toward sale; it does not by itself confirm the retail name, processor, or final configuration. Nor does repetition across secondary reports establish independent confirmation. That is why the Dimensity 7350 story should be described as a real, superseded rumor—not as the phone’s final chipset, and not as a fabricated claim.

Final specifications depend on the market
Xiaomi’s official India and UK product pages document different processors for phones sold under the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G name. Xiaomi India lists Snapdragon 7s Gen 3; Xiaomi UK lists Dimensity 7300-Ultra. The name alone therefore does not establish which chipset a particular unit has.

India-specific details beyond the table include the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3’s listed 4nm process and CPU arrangement (one Cortex-A720 at 2.5GHz, three Cortex-A720 at 2.4GHz, and four Cortex-A520 at 1.8GHz); 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB, and 12GB/512GB memory configurations; a 3,000-nit peak display brightness; and a 20MP front camera. Xiaomi India lists Gorilla Glass Victus 2, Android 14 with HyperOS, three years of software updates, and four years of security updates. What the leak got right—and what it got wrong
The processor prediction was wrong for the officially documented China and India versions, and the UK listing names a different MediaTek chip from the rumored 7350. Some broad expectations did match the later product: a curved 1.5K-class display, 120Hz refresh rate, 50MP-class triple-camera setup, substantial battery, fast charging, and a September 2024 China launch. The India model’s official camera list is more precise than the early leak: it includes a dedicated 50MP 2.5× telephoto camera alongside the main and ultrawide cameras. What the chipset switch means for performance claims
For the China and India documentation cited here, Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 replaced Dimensity 7350 in the final story; Xiaomi’s UK listing adds a Dimensity 7300-Ultra variant. Redmi positioned the Snapdragon platform around performance stability, efficiency, and on-device AI capabilities. But a processor name alone cannot establish which variant is faster or more efficient in everyday use. Sustained thermals, software tuning, memory, display resolution, and regional firmware all affect results, and the cited material does not provide a controlled same-device comparison between these chipsets.
Consequently, benchmark or gaming expectations formed around the Dimensity 7350 rumor should not be applied to a phone without first checking its actual regional specification. Results from different memory configurations or firmware versions are not automatically comparable.

How it compares with the Redmi Note 13 Pro+
Comparison coverage identifies the Note 13 Pro+ as using MediaTek Dimensity 7200-Ultra and 120W charging. In the China/India-style Note 14 Pro+ configuration, the processor changes to Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, advertised charging falls to 90W, and the battery rises to 6,200mAh in the India model. The newer configuration also adds a dedicated telephoto camera. These changes describe a shift in priorities rather than a simple across-the-board upgrade: the larger battery and extra camera hardware are notable, while the charging figure is lower on paper. What to verify when buying a regional or imported unit
- Match the listing to the exact model number and official regional product page; do not infer the chipset from “Redmi Note 14 Pro+” alone.
- Confirm the chipset, camera arrangement, battery, charging speed, network bands, software region, and warranty for that unit.
- Check whether a charger is included and whether it is suitable for your country and the phone’s charging system.
- Be cautious with listings that omit the model number or treat “Dimensity 7350 Pro” as an official final specification.
- Remember that an IP rating does not guarantee water protection after repair or physical damage.
