Verdict: The Realme Pad 2 Lite is an affordable 4G Android tablet for streaming, online classes, reading and everyday browsing. It launched in India on September 13, 2024, at ₹14,999 for the 4GB+128GB model and ₹16,999 for the 8GB+128GB model. As of August 18, 2026, marketplace listings showed it from ₹14,999, although the live price, stock and RAM variant should be checked before purchase.
Its strongest features are the 10.95-inch 90Hz display, quad speakers, 8,300mAh marketed battery and cellular connectivity. The main compromises are the older MediaTek Helio G99 processor, modest 15W charging, Android 14 launch software and the lack of a verified long-term update commitment.
Realme Pad 2 Lite: India price and availability
Realme launched the Pad 2 Lite in India alongside the Realme P2 Pro 5G smartphone. It is available in Nebula Purple and Space Grey, with two India-specific memory configurations:
| Variant | Launch price |
|---|---|
| 4GB RAM + 128GB storage | ₹14,999 |
| 8GB RAM + 128GB storage | ₹16,999 |
At launch, Realme said the tablet would be sold through Realme’s India stores, Flipkart and offline mainline retailers. A Gadgets360 India listing updated on August 18, 2026, showed the tablet from ₹14,999, with Flipkart listed as the lowest-price retailer at that time. Treat that figure as a marketplace snapshot rather than a guaranteed price for every variant. The official Realme buying page should be checked for current stock, price and configuration.

Display and design
The tablet has a 10.95-inch display with a 1,920 × 1,200 resolution and a refresh rate of up to 90Hz. Realme markets it as a “2K” display, but the exact specification is better described as a 16:10 WUXGA-class panel. The extra refresh-rate headroom should make scrolling and compatible animations feel smoother than on a basic 60Hz tablet.
The large 16:10 screen suits video playback, PDFs, web pages and split-screen use. Realme lists Eye Comfort and other viewing modes, as well as a claimed 83.6% screen-to-body ratio. Peak brightness is listed at up to 450 nits, which should be adequate indoors but is not especially strong for bright outdoor use. Realme does not describe the panel as AMOLED, and there is no basis here to promise HDR or wide-gamut performance.
The tablet measures 8.32mm thick and weighs 525g. Its dual-tone vegan-leather finish gives it a distinctive appearance for the price, but that finish is not a claim of water resistance or rugged durability.
Helio G99 performance: suitable for basics, not demanding workloads
The Realme Pad 2 Lite uses MediaTek’s 6nm Helio G99, with two Cortex-A76 cores running at up to 2.2GHz, six Cortex-A55 cores at up to 2.0GHz and an Arm Mali-G57 GPU.
That hardware is aimed at web browsing, video streaming, schoolwork, office applications, video calls and casual gaming. It should not be treated as a high-performance gaming tablet or as a strong choice for heavy video editing and sustained demanding multitasking. No independent benchmark or gaming results are used here, so frame-rate and battery-performance claims would be speculative.

- Replace old, broken, cracked or damaged items.

The 8GB model is the better choice for people who regularly use split-screen apps or switch among a browser, notes, documents and video services. The 4GB version is adequate for lighter use, but it has less multitasking headroom and may reload background apps more often. Realme’s virtual RAM feature uses internal storage as an expansion mechanism; it is not equivalent to adding physical RAM and does not transform the Helio G99 into a faster processor.

Realme markets the tablet with an 8,300mAh battery, while its detailed India specification lists an 8,080mAh typical capacity. Both numbers should be reported because they describe different figures in the manufacturer’s documentation.
Realme claims up to 14.79 hours of video playback. That is a manufacturer laboratory claim, not an independently measured result, so real-world endurance will vary with brightness, network use, refresh rate, applications and cellular signal strength.
The tablet supports 15W wired SuperVOOC charging. That is functional, but modest for a battery in the 8,000mAh class; buyers should not expect especially rapid top-ups.
Speakers and cameras
Quad speakers and OReality Audio are among the Pad 2 Lite’s more useful entertainment features. They should make the tablet a practical option for streaming and online classes, although sound quality, bass response and maximum loudness require hands-on testing.
The rear camera has 8MP resolution and the front camera has 5MP resolution. The rear unit is best considered a functional camera for document scans and occasional basic photos. The front camera is more relevant to video calls than to high-quality photography. The available specifications do not justify calling either camera high-end or content-creator focused.

Connectivity includes a USB Type-C port and two microphones. The official packing information confirms a charger, USB-C data cable, SIM ejector tool and documentation. It does not establish that a keyboard, case or stylus is bundled.
Software and update concerns
The tablet launched with Android 14 and realme UI 5.0 for Pad, and Realme’s India specification page continues to identify that software. No verified update commitment was established for this article, so buyers should not assume Android 15 or later, or a specific duration of security support.
This matters more in 2026 than it did at launch. A tablet can remain useful for years as a streaming screen, but buyers keeping it for study, banking or work should confirm current software support and app compatibility. Widevine streaming certification, update status and long-term app behaviour should also be verified directly if they are essential to the purchase.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors4G connectivity: confirm the exact model
The Indian specification lists GSM, WCDMA and LTE support, including LTE bands 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 20, 28, 38, 40 and 41. This is a 4G/LTE tablet, not a 5G tablet. Realme notes that actual frequency availability depends on the local operator environment.
Before buying, confirm that the retailer is selling the LTE model rather than a Wi-Fi-only listing. Check SIM and carrier compatibility, whether the tablet’s cellular functionality meets your calling or data needs, and the return policy in case the device does not work with your operator.

Buy the 4GB + 128GB model if:
- You mainly stream video, read, browse or attend online classes.
- You want the lowest entry price.
- You do not regularly keep several demanding apps open at once.
Choose the 8GB + 128GB model if:
- You frequently use split-screen multitasking.
- You switch between browsers, notes, documents and video apps.
- You plan to keep the tablet for several years and the price difference remains close to the original ₹2,000.
Extra RAM can improve multitasking headroom, but it does not make the Helio G99 a modern high-end gaming platform.

Realme Pad 2 Lite versus alternatives
Current listings place the tablet in the same broad buying conversation as the Redmi Pad SE, Redmi Pad 2, Realme Pad 2 and Infinix XPad. Prices for these models change frequently, so a meaningful comparison should use live prices rather than launch pricing.

Who should buy the Realme Pad 2 Lite?
It remains a sensible shortlist option for students, families, streamers and buyers who specifically need a large-screen tablet with mobile data at roughly ₹15,000. The 90Hz display, quad speakers, 128GB storage and large battery make it more practical than an ultra-basic tablet for everyday media and study use.
Who should skip it?
Look elsewhere if you need 5G, high-end gaming performance, an OLED display, premium cameras, particularly bright outdoor viewing or a clearly documented long-term Android update policy. It is also not the right purchase for stylus-based note-taking unless the compatibility of the exact pen and any required accessories has been confirmed.
At ₹14,999, the 4GB model is best viewed as a capable basic 4G media-and-study tablet rather than a future-proof performance device. If the 8GB version is available near its ₹16,999 launch price and you multitask heavily, it is the more defensible configuration.
