The Realme P3 Ultra 5G is an India-focused performance smartphone launched on March 19, 2025. Its main attractions are the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultra chipset, a 6,000mAh battery with 80W charging, a 6.83-inch 1.5K 120Hz curved AMOLED display, and advertised IP66, IP68 and IP69 protection.
The practical takeaway is straightforward: the P3 Ultra is primarily a gaming-and-endurance phone with unusually strong ingress-resistance claims, rather than a camera-centric flagship. IP69 also does not mean unrestricted waterproofing or warranty coverage for liquid damage.
What is the Realme P3 Ultra 5G?
The Realme P3 Ultra 5G is the first “Ultra” model in Realme’s P-series lineup and was announced for India as an India-exclusive P-series device. It is available in Glowing Lunar White, Neptune Blue and Orion Red.
Realme lists the phone with the Dimensity 8350 Ultra, up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The official specification page lists realme UI 6.0 based on Android 15 at launch. Software features and the current Android version may change with updates.

Dimensity 8350 Ultra: what performance should you expect?
The phone uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 8350 Ultra, a 4nm octa-core platform with CPU speeds of up to 3.35GHz and a Mali-G615 GPU. The available configurations are 8GB or 12GB LPDDR5X RAM, paired with 128GB or 256GB storage.
Realme claims an AnTuTu score above 1.45 million and says the phone can sustain 90fps BGMI gameplay for three hours under its stated test conditions. It also promotes GT Boost gaming features and AI-assisted gaming controls.

These figures should be read as manufacturer-reported results, not independent benchmark results. Actual performance will vary according to software version, temperature, game settings, network conditions and benchmark version. “Ultra” is part of Realme’s product name; it should not automatically be interpreted as a completely separate architecture from the standard Dimensity 8350.
For buyers, the chipset is most relevant to gaming, multitasking and long-term performance headroom. The P3 Ultra’s camera hardware is less ambitious than its processing hardware, so performance—not photography—is the clearest reason to choose it.
IP69, IP68 and IP66 protection explained
Realme says the P3 Ultra has been tested to IP66, IP68 and IP69 levels, referencing GB/T 4208-2017 and IEC 60529-2013 testing standards.
- IP6X: dust-tight protection.
- IPX8: protection against continuous immersion under specified conditions.
- IPX9: protection against high-temperature, high-pressure water jets.
Under Realme’s stated IP68 conditions, the phone can be immersed in up to 2 metres of still, clear water for 30 minutes, with the water temperature within 5°C of the device temperature. IP69 addresses a different scenario: high-temperature, high-pressure water jets. That distinction matters because IP69 is not simply a stronger version of every kind of water protection.

The rating does not guarantee safety after a drop, cracked screen, bent frame or damaged back panel. It should also not be generalized to salt water, chlorinated water, soap, hot baths or long-term submersion. Do not deliberately test the phone with a shower, swimming pool or pressure washer.
Realme warns that resistance can decline through normal wear, says not to charge the phone while it is damp, and excludes liquid-immersion damage from the warranty. Read the company’s official product disclaimer before treating the rating as protection against water-related repair costs.
Display and design
The P3 Ultra has a 6.83-inch curved AMOLED display with a 2800 × 1272 resolution, up to a 120Hz refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3 coverage, 1.07 billion colours and a claimed peak brightness of up to 1,500 nits. Realme also lists 3,840Hz PWM dimming and Gorilla Glass 7i protection.
The high resolution and 120Hz refresh rate should suit gaming, scrolling and video consumption. However, 1,500 nits is a peak figure rather than a guarantee of sustained full-screen brightness. Similarly, a high-PWM-dimming specification cannot guarantee that every user will experience no eye strain.

Reflections and accidental touches can be more noticeable, and screen replacement may be more expensive than with a comparable flat panel. The phone is approximately 7.38–7.47mm thick and weighs about 183–186 grams, depending on the colour and rear-material version.
6,000mAh battery and 80W charging
Realme lists a 6,000mAh typical battery capacity and a 5,860mAh rated capacity. The phone supports 80W SUPERVOOC/Ultra Charge. Realme claims up to 17 hours of video playback, up to 10 hours of gameplay and a full charge in approximately 47 minutes under its own testing conditions.
Those numbers are not universal battery-life guarantees. Brightness, 5G reception, refresh rate, game intensity, background apps, temperature and software efficiency all affect endurance. Charging speed also depends on the charger, cable, battery level, temperature and whether the screen is active.
The phone supports AI bypass charging for gaming. When supported and enabled, this can supply power more directly to the phone during play, reducing the need to repeatedly charge the battery while connected. It is particularly useful for long gaming sessions, although fast charging can still generate heat.
Realme also promotes five-year battery-health durability. That is a company claim, not an independently verified guarantee that the battery will retain a specific capacity for exactly five years.

The rear camera system consists of a 50MP Sony IMX896 main camera with optical image stabilisation and an 8MP ultrawide camera. The front camera has a 16MP sensor. Realme’s product materials list rear video recording up to 4K at 60fps.
OIS can help reduce hand shake and support longer exposures, especially in lower light, but it does not by itself guarantee better image processing or image quality. The 8MP ultrawide camera has a lower-resolution sensor than the main camera, so it is likely to offer less detail—particularly in difficult lighting—based on the hardware specification alone.
Realme lists software tools including AI Eraser, AI Best Face and AI Motion Deblur. Their availability and behaviour can vary by region and software version. The presence of a Sony sensor should not be treated as evidence that the camera system is flagship-grade, and buyers who want a telephoto camera or maximum photography versatility should look elsewhere.

Price and variants in India
Prices and stock can change substantially because the phone is now sold through promotions and marketplace listings. The following are dated observations, not guaranteed current checkout prices.
- Realme’s anniversary-sale page listed the 8GB/128GB model at a ₹26,999 MOP, with a stated effective price of ₹22,999 after specified discounts and an SBI offer.
- A Flipkart listing observed 8GB/256GB at ₹28,999 and 12GB/256GB at ₹31,999. The 8GB/128GB listing was marked out of stock at that time.
Check the final price, seller, bank conditions, coupon requirements and return policy before purchasing. The Realme sale page and Flipkart listing provide the relevant price signals.
Should you buy the Realme P3 Ultra?
It makes sense for
- Gamers who want a strong processor and a high-refresh-rate AMOLED display.
- Users who value a large battery and fast wired charging.
- People seeking stronger-than-usual dust and water-resistance specifications in this segment.
- Buyers who prefer a relatively slim phone despite its large battery.
- Users for whom the 256GB version offers useful room for large games and 4K video.
Think twice if you prioritise
- Telephoto photography or a more versatile camera system.
- A flat display with fewer curved-edge handling compromises.
- Expandable storage, since microSD support is not confirmed in the cited regional specification.
- Guaranteed protection against deliberate underwater use or liquid-damage warranty coverage.
- A permanent price rather than a promotion-dependent or marketplace price.
The best buying decision depends on the actual price available today. At a substantial discount, the P3 Ultra’s performance, battery, display and protection credentials form a compelling combination. At a higher marketplace price, compare newer phones before assuming the older launch hardware is the best value.

What to do if the phone gets wet
- Stop using it if water may have entered the ports or body.
- Dry the exterior and keep the USB-C port free of moisture.
- Do not connect a charger until the phone and port are completely dry.
- If the phone was dropped first, assume its seals may be compromised even if there is no visible damage.
- For salt water, chlorine, soap or suspected internal damage, seek qualified service rather than relying on the IP rating.
