realme UI 3.0 is Realme’s Android 12-based software. Realme’s official roadmap scheduled early access for the Realme GT in October 2021, followed by more phones through the first half of 2022. The schedule was not a promise that every listed phone would receive a stable update on those dates: availability varied by country, model variant and rollout stage. As of 2026, realme UI 3.0 is a legacy release, not an active rollout.
Official realme UI 3.0 early-access roadmap
The following models appeared on Realme’s published roadmap. Its timeframes refer to planned early access or beta availability, rather than a guaranteed stable OTA date for every owner. The roadmap was published for a particular market and should not be treated as a universal schedule. Realme’s UI 3.0 page lists these models and periods.

Keep the model names exact: for example, Realme 8 4G and Realme 8 5G are distinct phones, as are Realme X7, X7 Pro and X7 Max. A roadmap entry means Realme scheduled that model for the program described; it does not by itself establish that a particular regional variant received a stable build.

Phones that launched with realme UI 3.0
Some later phones came with Android 12 and realme UI 3.0 already installed, so they did not follow the same upgrade path as older phones moving up from Android 11. Examples include the Realme 10 4G, Realme 9i 5G, Realme GT 2 and Realme GT Neo 3, according to their Realme 10, Realme 9i 5G, GT 2 and GT Neo 3 specifications. These are examples of phones shipping with the software, not additions to the original roadmap.

That distinction matters: “scheduled for realme UI 3.0” describes a planned update for an existing phone; “ships with realme UI 3.0” describes software installed when a phone launched. Android 12 compatibility alone does not prove that Realme delivered an OTA build for every variant or market.
Was the update available in every country?
No single worldwide timetable applied. Realme schedules and firmware differed by region; India’s published schedule was an early-access roadmap, while coverage of Europe described a separate stable-rollout timeline. The Indian Express explained the early-access distinction, and European rollout reporting reflects a different market and schedule.
When checking an old update claim, match your country or region, exact model name and model number (often shown as an RMX code), and firmware build. Carrier-branded and imported phones may follow different approval or firmware channels. A model name that looks identical is not enough to establish that firmware for another region is appropriate.

The roadmap dates indicated when testing was expected to begin, not when the final OTA update would reach every owner. Early-access and beta builds are pre-release software: they can have bugs, compatibility issues or features that change before stable release. If reliability matters more than trying Android 12 early, wait for the stable update offered to your own device rather than enrolling in a beta based only on a roadmap date.
Later reports documented stable Android 12-based realme UI 3.0 releases for some individual models, including the Realme 8 5G and Narzo 30 5G in India, and the Realme X3 and X3 SuperZoom in India. Realme UI 3.0 brought Android 12’s privacy controls, including approximate-location permissions, alongside a redesigned interface, additional personalization options and performance changes. Realme also promoted features such as customizable Always-On Display, Omoji, PC Connect, Parallel Apps and cross-device features. Availability was model-dependent: Always-On Display required supported OLED hardware, Omoji was limited to certain models, and PC Connect was initially limited to the Realme GT and GT Master Edition. Do not assume that every phone on the roadmap received every advertised feature. Realme’s feature and availability notes include these qualifications.
How to check your Realme phone
- Open Settings.
- Look for Software update, System update or a similarly named option. Labels and menu locations vary by model and installed software version.
- Check the installed Android version and realme UI version, then choose Check for updates.
- If an update is offered, review its version, download size and release notes before installing.
Record the exact model name, RMX model number, country or region, current firmware build, and whether the phone is carrier-branded, imported, rooted or running modified firmware. These details are useful if an update is missing and you contact Realme support.
If the update does not appear
A missing update does not automatically mean the phone was excluded. Possible reasons include a staged OTA rollout, regional firmware differences, carrier approval, an imported model with a different RMX variant, confusion between beta and stable releases, insufficient storage, or modified, rooted or downgraded software. Rollouts can also be paused or revised.
Use this evidence order when checking eligibility: start with the official roadmap for your region; look for the exact model and region on Realme’s software-update or firmware support pages; then check the phone’s own stable OTA updater. Community lists and rumor articles are weaker evidence. An unofficial community list, for example, proposed many additional phones but marked some as uncertain. It should not be treated as confirmation.
Do not change the phone’s region or install firmware for a different model or market as a routine fix. Manual installation can lead to data loss or leave a phone unusable if the package or procedure is wrong. For most owners, the safest options are the built-in OTA updater or official Realme support for the exact regional model.
Before installing an update
- Back up photos, contacts, messages and authenticator data.
- Make sure there is enough free storage and charge the phone, or keep it connected to power.
- Use a reliable Wi-Fi connection and do not interrupt installation. The first restart may take longer than usual.
- After updating, check cellular service, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, camera, notifications and banking apps.
An OTA upgrade does not guarantee that every app setting will be preserved or that an existing problem will be fixed. If you are considering a beta, weigh the possibility of bugs and app issues against the benefit of trying the software sooner.
