The realme 13 Pro+ appeared in China’s TENAA database in early July 2024 under model number RMX3920. Certification images showed the phone’s curved display and large circular camera island before release. The design leak was credible, but several specifications reported at the time were only predictions: the retail phone launched with Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, not the expected Snapdragon 7s Gen 3.
This is now historical launch coverage. realme subsequently released the phone, with India order activity tied to July 30, 2024.
What the TENAA certificate showed
TENAA is China’s telecommunications regulator. Its certification photographs are regulatory-listing images rather than independent hands-on photos, review images or polished lifestyle shots. In the RMX3920 listing, they showed:
- A curved front display with a centered punch-hole selfie camera.
- A large, prominent circular rear camera housing.
- Three visible openings on the rear camera module.
- A substantial camera bump extending from the back panel.
The circular camera design matched earlier leaks and foreshadowed the Monet-inspired styling used on retail versions. realme later sold finishes including Monet Gold, Monet Purple and Emerald Green, with glass and vegan-leather variants depending on market. TENAA established the exterior design, not every color or material eventually offered.

The July 3, 2024 report reasonably described the launch as near, but its wording should not be read as current news.
Rumors versus the phone that shipped
Pre-launch coverage mixed certification evidence with expectations. The following distinction is important:

realme quotes charging from 1% to 50% in about 19 minutes under laboratory conditions. Actual results vary with temperature, battery age, charger, software and use. IP65 is a resistance rating, not a promise that the phone is waterproof.

What the periscope camera means
The 3x periscope camera is the 13 Pro+’s most consequential hardware feature. Its folded optical path provides genuine 3x optical magnification for portraits and distant subjects, rather than relying solely on a crop from the main sensor. At other zoom levels, the phone can combine optical data, sensor cropping, digital zoom and software processing. A periscope lens does not guarantee flagship-quality results in every light, and realme’s promotional comparisons with DSLRs are marketing claims, not independent camera-test findings.

RMX3920 was the Chinese TENAA model. realme’s security/model database references RMX3921 for an international realme 13 Pro+ 5G variant. These identifiers matter when importing a phone: network bands, NFC, firmware, Google-service support, RAM and storage options, charger packaging and warranty can differ.

For example, the China specification page lists NFC, while the global specification page lists no NFC. Buyers should therefore verify the exact model and regional specification sheet instead of assuming that every 13 Pro+ is identical.
How close was the launch?
- July 3, 2024: Gizmochina reported the RMX3920 TENAA appearance and published the certification images.
- July 30, 2024: realme’s India first-order terms tied purchases and availability activity to this date.
- August 2024: official regional product pages and launch material described the released phone.
The TENAA record indicated regulatory progress, but it did not itself confirm a launch date. The July 30 date came from subsequent realme availability material, not from the certificate.
Verdict
The TENAA leak got the important visual story right: the realme 13 Pro+ really did use a curved screen and large circular camera module. It was also directionally right that launch was close in July 2024. But the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, IMX882 telephoto and other pre-launch details should never have been treated as final specifications. The released phone used Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, a 50MP LYT-701 main camera, a 50MP LYT-600 3x periscope camera, a 5,200mAh typical battery and 80W charging.
