For most buyers, the Samsung Galaxy A15 4G is the better all-round phone thanks to its sharper Super AMOLED display, more versatile cameras, faster charging and clearer long-term software-support commitment. The POCO C65 makes more sense if it costs substantially less or you specifically want a larger screen, higher-storage configuration or dedicated dual-SIM-and-microSD arrangement.
This comparison is for the Galaxy A15 LTE, generally model family SM-A155, not the U.S. Galaxy A15 5G, model family SM-A156. Check the exact model and local price before buying: specifications, bands, NFC, memory, charger contents and warranty can vary by market.

These are representative specifications, not a guarantee that every regional retail variant is identical. Display: Samsung quality, POCO size
The Galaxy A15 4G has the display most people will prefer for reading, photos and video. Its 6.5-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED panel has much higher resolution than the C65’s 6.74-inch, 1600 × 720 LCD. Samsung’s screen is therefore sharper, and AMOLED can produce deeper blacks and stronger contrast. Both support refresh rates up to 90Hz, but that shared number does not make their picture quality equivalent.

The POCO’s screen is larger, which may suit someone who values viewing area above sharpness. Xiaomi lists 260 pixels per inch for the C65; the A15’s FHD+ resolution works out to roughly 399 pixels per inch. Brightness figures and viewing experience can vary with settings and conditions, so do not treat the size or refresh-rate figures alone as a complete display comparison.
Performance: A15 has the stronger spec-sheet case
The Galaxy A15 4G uses a Helio G99, while the C65 uses a Helio G85. That gives Samsung the stronger specification-based position for multitasking and games, although neither is a performance-focused phone. Expect to make compromises in demanding games rather than buying either for high-end gaming. Actual responsiveness depends on the software, memory configuration and workload; no benchmark or hands-on speed result is implied here.
The C65’s listed internal storage is eMMC 5.1, a budget-oriented storage type. Xiaomi’s “up to 16GB” memory-extension claim on the 8GB model is not 16GB of physical RAM: it combines physical memory with storage used as an extension. Virtual memory is not a substitute for additional RAM.
Cameras: A more useful set on Samsung
Both phones advertise a 50MP main camera, but the headline resolution does not tell the whole story. The A15 adds a 5MP ultrawide camera, useful for fitting more of a landscape, room or group into a frame. The C65’s additional listed camera is a 2MP macro camera, which is a more limited tool for close-ups. Samsung also has a higher-resolution 13MP selfie camera compared with the POCO’s 8MP unit.
Those specifications make the A15’s camera system more versatile, but they do not prove that it takes better photos in every situation. Image processing, low-light results, dynamic range and skin tones require direct comparison. Neither megapixel count nor camera count guarantees photo quality. Xiaomi lists rear and front video recording up to 1080p at 30fps for the C65; verify the exact A15 LTE variant’s video capabilities before relying on a particular recording mode.

Battery and charging: same capacity, faster maximum on Samsung
Both have a rated 5,000mAh battery, so capacity alone does not establish which lasts longer. Battery life depends on usage, signal strength, brightness and software. The A15 supports up to 25W wired charging; the C65 supports up to 18W PD.
Check what comes in the box before comparing total cost. Xiaomi’s cited C65 package information says a 10W adapter may be included even though the phone supports 18W charging. Samsung’s charger policy also varies by market, and the cited product information says a wall charger is sold separately. Charging wattage is a maximum capability, not a promised charge time; adapter, cable, temperature and battery level all matter.

Samsung publishes a commitment of up to four generations of OS upgrades and five years of security maintenance for the cited A15 LTE product. Its page notes that policies may change, so treat this as Samsung’s published policy, not a promise of identical timing for every country or unit. Still, it is a much clearer support-duration commitment than the cited POCO C65 material, which lists MIUI 14 for POCO without a comparable duration promise.
If you plan to keep a budget phone for several years, support matters: it affects access to newer software features and the period during which security maintenance is expected. The absence of a comparable POCO promise in the cited product material does not mean the phone receives no updates; it means buyers have less clarity about the duration from these sources.

The C65 is listed in 6GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB versions, and both phones support microSD expansion up to 1TB in the cited specifications. The POCO’s cited tray layout allows dual SIMs and a memory card together. Samsung’s cited A15 LTE listing describes SIM 1 plus a hybrid second-SIM-or-microSD slot, so using a memory card may mean giving up the second SIM. Confirm the tray configuration on the exact variant you are buying. Advertised storage is not all available for personal files, because the operating system and preinstalled apps use space.

Both phones are 4G LTE devices in this comparison; neither the POCO C65 nor Galaxy A15 SM-A155 offers 5G. Check the exact LTE bands, VoLTE support and carrier certification before buying an imported phone. “Unlocked” does not guarantee compatibility with every carrier. NFC is listed on the cited Xiaomi and Samsung regional pages, but availability can depend on market and SKU, especially for imported POCO units. Verify NFC on the specific retail model if you use contactless payments.

Both models have side-mounted fingerprint readers and headphone jacks in the cited specifications. The POCO is listed at 192g and the Samsung at 200g; the POCO is lighter, while its larger screen also means a larger body. Try the phone in hand if one-handed use is important.
Price and value: compare the exact deal, not launch prices
There is no dependable current U.S. street-price comparison for this international A15 4G and POCO C65 pairing in the cited material. Samsung’s U.S. product sheet is for the different A15 5G, so its price should not be used as the price of the SM-A155 LTE. Compare local offers for the same storage tier and condition, and include shipping, taxes, warranty and any charger you need to buy.
The POCO is compelling when it is meaningfully cheaper or gives you substantially more storage for the money. The A15’s screen, camera flexibility, charging capability and clearer update policy justify choosing it when the price gap is modest and you value those features. If either phone is priced close to a newer model, check that model’s network compatibility and support policy before settling on older hardware.
Which one should you buy?
- Choose the Galaxy A15 4G for the better screen, ultrawide camera, higher-resolution selfie camera, faster maximum charging and clearer long-term software policy.
- Choose the POCO C65 if it is substantially cheaper, you want its larger display or 256GB configuration, or you need the cited dedicated dual-SIM-plus-microSD arrangement.
- Choose neither if you need 5G, serious gaming performance, water resistance, stereo speakers, a telephoto camera or very fast charging.
For U.S. buyers in particular, do not assume a listing for “Galaxy A15” is the LTE model: Samsung’s U.S. specification sheet identifies the A15 5G as SM-A156, while this comparison concerns the international LTE SM-A155.
