For August 2026, Pluto TV’s announced lineup includes seven channels: Alien Nation by Dust, Cheaters, FOX SOUL, FOX Weather, LiveNOW from FOX, Makers and a limited-time stream of all 13 theatrical Star Trek films. Paramount’s announcement is a channel-launch update—not a complete August movie schedule—so it does not confirm a separate list of newly added films or first-run series premieres.

Does “premieres” mean new movies or shows?
Not necessarily. In this announcement, the confirmed August news is about channels, including one temporary channel devoted to Star Trek films. It does not establish a full list of August movie additions, on-demand debuts, or first-run series premieres. A movie newly available on Pluto TV is also not necessarily having its theatrical or broadcast premiere.

Pluto TV combines ad-supported live channels with on-demand programming. On a live channel, you generally join whatever is airing rather than choosing a particular episode to start immediately; use search or the on-demand area when you want to select a specific title, if it is offered there. For context, Pluto TV’s 2023 Popcorn Summer Movies announcement shows that August can also be part of a separate seasonal movie refresh. That older slate is not the August 2026 movie schedule.

How to find the channels
- Open Pluto TV in a browser or launch its app on a supported device.
- Go to the Live TV or channel-guide area and browse the relevant category.
- Search by the channel’s name if search is available in your app or device interface.
- For a specific film or program, search the title and check on-demand results rather than assuming it is currently playing on a live feed.
If a channel does not appear, it may not be available in your country or on that device, or the rollout may differ by app version. A limited-time stream can also leave the guide; the official announcement does not give an end date for the Star Trek channel. Pluto TV is free and ad-supported, so expect commercial breaks.

In August 2022, Pluto TV launched free linear Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune channels. Contemporary coverage said the Jeopardy! channel included 250 curated episodes across 33 past seasons, while the Wheel of Fortune channel also carried 250 episodes.
