For most buyers, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G is the better all-rounder: it has the stronger processor, sharper display, more versatile camera hardware and faster charging, plus a clearly stated software-support commitment. Choose the OPPO F27 Pro+ 5G instead if its lighter build and broader water- and drop-resistance claims matter more to you than those advantages.
Both are Indian-market phones launched in 2024, so in 2026 the right deal depends on the exact price, remaining software support, stock condition and warranty—not their original launch prices. Check those details before buying older stock.

The OPPO is the easier phone to carry: it is about 177g and 7.9mm thick. The Redmi is heavier, at approximately 199g for the PU-leather finish and 204.5g for another listed finish. If you dislike heavy phones, that difference is noticeable on paper and worth considering in person.

OPPO’s central advantage is its IP66, IP68 and IP69 certification combination. The company also describes a 360-degree Armour Body, Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and SGS drop-resistance and military-grade shock-resistance testing. OPPO claims drop resistance from up to 1.8 metres; treat that as a manufacturer test claim, not a guarantee that a fall will not break your phone. Its launch announcement called the F27 Pro+ India’s first IP69-rated smartphone—an OPPO claim specific to the India market at launch.
The Redmi has IP68 water and dust resistance and Gorilla Glass Victus. Xiaomi also describes reinforced structural components and a polymer buffer strip. IP ratings refer to defined laboratory tests: IP69’s high-pressure, high-temperature water-jet testing is not simply a higher version of IP68’s immersion test in every practical situation. Neither rating makes a phone immune to all liquids or impacts. Resistance can diminish with wear, drops or repairs, and liquid damage may not be covered by warranty.
Both screens curve at the edges. That can look and feel premium, but curved glass can catch reflections, register accidental touches, be harder to protect cleanly and cost more to replace than a flat panel. Check the local display-repair price and whether a suitable case and screen protector are available before choosing either.

Display: Redmi has the sharper panel
The Redmi’s 6.67-inch AMOLED display has a 1.5K resolution of 2712 × 1220, a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and a claimed peak brightness of 1,800 nits. Xiaomi also lists Dolby Vision, HDR10+, 100% DCI-P3 and 1920Hz PWM dimming. These specifications give it the clear on-paper edge for sharpness and HDR support, with a brighter peak-brightness claim that may help outdoors. Peak figures are not the same as brightness sustained across the whole screen, so do not read them as a guarantee of identical visibility in every setting.
The OPPO’s 6.7-inch-class curved AMOLED is 2412 × 1080, refreshes at 120Hz and has a listed local peak brightness of 950 nits. It should still look vivid and smooth for everyday use; the trade-off is lower resolution and a lower stated peak-brightness figure. OPPO specifies Gorilla Glass Victus 2, while Redmi lists Gorilla Glass Victus.
Performance: Redmi has more headroom
The Redmi uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 7200-Ultra, a 4nm platform with two Cortex-A715 performance cores clocked up to 2.8GHz. Xiaomi also lists LPDDR5 memory and vapour-chamber cooling. The OPPO uses the Dimensity 7050, with a listed maximum CPU frequency of 2.6GHz and Mali-G68 MC4 graphics. Taken together, those platform specifications favour Redmi for demanding games, heavier multitasking and keeping more performance headroom as apps become more demanding.

The F27 Pro+ should be adequate for messaging, social apps, video streaming, photography and ordinary multitasking. The distinction is about headroom, not whether everyday apps will run. No benchmark scores or controlled long-term performance results are established by the cited specifications, so the processor comparison should not be mistaken for a measured frame-rate promise.
Xiaomi lists Wi-Fi 6, NFC, stereo speakers and an IR blaster among the Redmi’s features. Check the exact regional configuration and your intended use for any connectivity feature that matters to you.
Cameras: Redmi offers more useful hardware
The Redmi has a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP3 main sensor, listed at 1/1.4 inch, with optical and electronic image stabilisation. Its other rear cameras are an 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro. Xiaomi lists rear video recording up to 4K at 30fps. OIS helps counter some camera shake, while the ultrawide gives you a framing option the OPPO does not list.

The OPPO has a 64MP main camera and a 2MP portrait/depth camera. Its official specification page does not list an ultrawide camera; it also lists an 8MP front camera. OPPO lists rear video up to 4K at 30fps. The second rear camera is therefore mainly for depth or portrait effects rather than wide landscape and group framing.
For travel, landscapes, low-light scenes and cropping into a shot, the Redmi has the stronger hardware case. But megapixels alone do not settle image quality: processing, exposure, autofocus, stabilisation and skin-tone rendering all matter. The specifications support calling Redmi the more versatile camera phone; without controlled samples, they do not prove it takes better pictures in every scene. OPPO may still suit buyers who prefer its portrait processing.
Battery and charging: Redmi tops up faster on paper
Both phones list a typical 5,000mAh battery, but the Redmi supports 120W HyperCharge while the OPPO supports 67W SUPERVOOC. That makes Redmi the stronger choice if rapid top-ups are a priority. It does not mean every charge takes a fixed number of minutes: speed varies with battery level, temperature, software, cable and charger, and charging slows as the battery fills. Xiaomi says its charging data comes from internal laboratory testing and that real-world results vary.

Before buying, confirm whether the exact retail SKU includes its original charger and cable. A third-party adapter may not support the phone’s proprietary fast-charging mode, and the advertised maximum should not be assumed in every charging situation.
Software and 2026 ownership value
The F27 Pro+ launched with ColorOS 14 based on Android 14. The material available here does not establish an OPPO update timetable comparable with Xiaomi’s published India-market commitment. Xiaomi states that the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ will receive three major Android updates and four years of security updates. That is a stated policy, not a guarantee of a particular future feature or a substitute for checking whether updates are still arriving.
Both phones launched in 2024. Before purchase in 2026, check the latest Android version and security-patch date shown on the exact Indian model, then consider how much support time remains. A discounted older phone can be poor value if a newer device at a similar price offers longer support or more current hardware.

OPPO’s launch prices in India were ₹27,999 for 8GB/128GB and ₹29,999 for 8GB/256GB, with sales announced from June 20, 2024. Those are historical prices, not current street prices. An OPPO official store page showed a “from ₹27,999” signal on August 18, 2026, but prices, stock and configurations can change. No comparable current Redmi price was captured, so compare the live checkout price for both rather than inferring value from launch pricing.
Before placing an order, check the exact RAM and storage configuration, Indian warranty and seller, whether the device is new or refurbished, charger inclusion, current software patch, battery condition if it is old stock, and local display-repair cost. Also verify that the listing is Indian stock rather than an imported variant. The Redmi’s configuration can vary by SKU; do not assume every listing has the same memory or storage.

Which one should you buy?
- Choose the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G for the stronger camera setup, sharper display, more capable chipset, faster charging and clearer published update policy. It is the sensible choice for most buyers if the price and remaining support make sense.
- Choose the OPPO F27 Pro+ 5G if a lighter, slimmer phone and its broader IP certification and tested drop-resistance claims matter more than camera versatility, display resolution, gaming headroom and charging speed. It makes the most sense at a substantial discount, with a valid warranty and acceptable remaining support.
- Choose neither by default if either costs close to a newer 2026 phone with longer support or more current hardware. Compare live prices and support status before committing.
