The phone that launched was not the OnePlus 12T. OnePlus announced the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro in China on June 27, 2024, with up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM, 1TB of storage, a 6,100mAh-equivalent dual-cell battery, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 performance and 100W charging. The “OnePlus 12T” name referred to an expected international rebrand, but the available official evidence did not confirm a global launch under that name.
What actually launched?
The OnePlus Ace 3 Pro is the confirmed product. It launched in China on June 27, 2024, with first sales reported for July 3. OnePlus’ official Chinese product page and launch announcement identify it as the Ace 3 Pro, not the OnePlus 12T.

Some reports described the Ace 3 Pro as a possible “OnePlus 12T twin” because it was expected to share its hardware internationally under a different name. That remains speculation rather than confirmation. Readers should therefore treat listings using “OnePlus 12T” cautiously and check whether they are actually selling the China-market Ace 3 Pro.
The phone is a China-market model in the evidence available here. Its Chinese launch price and ColorOS software should not be mistaken for an official global OnePlus retail offering.

Is the 24GB RAM claim real?
Yes. The top Ace 3 Pro configuration has 24GB of physical LPDDR5X RAM paired with 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The other listed memory options are 12GB and 16GB.
That much RAM is mainly an enthusiast specification. It can help with heavy multitasking, demanding games and keeping more applications in memory, but most users will not see a major benefit in messaging, browsing, photography or streaming. OnePlus says the 24GB model can keep up to 35 commonly used apps alive for up to 72 hours; that is a manufacturer claim under its stated conditions, not a universal real-world guarantee.

OnePlus markets the phone’s battery as a 6,100mAh Glacier Battery. More precisely, the official specifications describe a dual-cell series design with two 3,050mAh cells. OnePlus gives an equivalent capacity of 6,100mAh at 3.89V and typical energy of 23.73Wh.
Calling it a “6,100mAh equivalent” battery is more accurate than implying the phone contains one single 6,100mAh cell. Actual battery life still depends on brightness, refresh rate, cellular signal, gaming, camera use, background applications and software configuration.
100W charging and battery-life claims
The Ace 3 Pro supports 100W SuperVOOC wired charging. OnePlus claims a full charge in approximately 36 minutes under relevant charging conditions. Temperature, charger, cable, starting battery level and phone usage can change the result.
OnePlus also advertises the battery as retaining at least 80% capacity after four years. That should be treated as a company claim rather than independent laboratory verification. A China-market handset may also include a charger with a plug standard different from the buyer’s country.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 was a flagship-class Android platform when the Ace 3 Pro launched in 2024. Combined with LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.0 storage, it gives the phone a high-end performance position for its release period.
However, this is a 2024 phone, not a new August 2026 release. By 2026, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is no longer Qualcomm’s newest flagship platform. The 24GB RAM option is impressive on paper, but it does not by itself make the Ace 3 Pro a current-generation performance leader.
Display and cameras
The phone has a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with 2780 × 1264 resolution, LTPO technology and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. OnePlus lists support for Dolby Vision, 2,160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, 360Hz touch sampling and Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
The advertised 4,500-nit figure is a peak or theoretical manufacturer specification. It should not be read as the sustained brightness of the entire screen during ordinary manual use.

This camera setup makes the Ace 3 Pro more of a battery-and-performance phone than an automatic camera flagship. The 8MP ultrawide and 2MP macro hardware are considerably less ambitious than the primary camera. Launch specifications alone cannot establish image quality, low-light performance or video stabilisation, so those should not be assumed without independent testing.

Reported finishes include Titanium Silver with a glass back, green with a vegan-leather back and Ceramic White with a ceramic back. Dimensions are approximately 163.3 × 75.27mm. Thickness ranges from about 8.69mm to 8.95mm, while weight ranges from roughly 207g to 225g depending on the back material.
The ceramic version is heavier, while the glass and vegan-leather versions differ slightly in thickness and weight. The phone also carries an IP65 rating. That means protection against dust and water jets under test conditions; it does not mean the handset is waterproof or safe to submerge.

China pricing and availability
Reported Chinese launch prices were:
- 12GB + 256GB: CNY 3,199
- 16GB + 256GB: CNY 3,499
- 16GB + 512GB: CNY 3,799
- 24GB + 1TB: CNY 4,399
A ceramic or collector’s edition was reported at higher prices, including CNY 4,599 for a 24GB + 1TB version. These are Chinese launch prices, not US or international recommended retail prices. A currency conversion does not account for taxes, shipping, import duties, reseller margins, charger differences or warranty costs.
What importing the Ace 3 Pro involves
A China-market ColorOS phone is not automatically equivalent to a global OnePlus handset running OxygenOS. Depending on the exact firmware and seller, Google services, language support, notifications, Android Auto, banking applications, contactless payments and regional network support may differ.
Before buying an imported unit, verify:
- The exact model number and whether it has China or modified global firmware.
- LTE and 5G band compatibility with your carrier.
- Whether Google Play and Google Mobile Services are installed and working.
- Compatibility with Android Auto, banking apps, push notifications and contactless payments.
- Warranty validity and repair support in your country.
- Charger plug, cable requirements, taxes and import duties.
- The seller’s return period and policy for software or network problems.
In the United States especially, do not assume the phone will work on every carrier. Compatibility depends on the exact model and carrier certification.
Should you buy it?
The Ace 3 Pro is most appealing to enthusiasts who specifically want a 6,100mAh-equivalent battery, 100W charging, 24GB RAM and 1TB storage, and who are comfortable with the risks of importing a China-market phone.

It is a weaker fit for buyers who need official local support, guaranteed carrier compatibility, native OxygenOS, reliable regional payment and automotive features, or a straightforward warranty process. A locally sold OnePlus flagship or R-series model may be the more practical choice even if it offers less RAM or a smaller battery.
Bottom line
The headline hardware is real, but the name needs correcting: OnePlus launched the Ace 3 Pro in China, not an officially confirmed OnePlus 12T. Its 24GB RAM, 1TB storage, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, 6,100mAh-equivalent battery and 100W charging make it an unusually ambitious 2024 enthusiast phone. The central buying question is not whether the specifications exist; it is whether the China-market software, network compatibility and limited international support are acceptable to you.
