There is no single best Octoparse replacement. For an API-driven pipeline or custom logic, shortlist Apify; for visual scraping of dynamic pages, consider ParseHub; for lightweight browser-extension work, WebScraper.io; for monitoring and change alerts, Browse AI; for broader browser automation, Bardeen; and for social or sales-oriented extraction, PhantomBuster. Firecrawl is another option to assess for developer-oriented crawling and API extraction. These are workflow-based suggestions from a vendor-affiliated comparison, not results of a controlled head-to-head test. Use Apify’s comparison discloses affiliate links.
If you mainly want a no-code visual builder and templates, Octoparse may still be the right fit. Start by comparing the work you need to do, then check current limits, export requirements and total cost at your expected volume.
What to compare before choosing an Octoparse alternative
A scraper that works well for one job can be a poor fit for another. Decide first whether you need a visual point-and-click workflow, an API for application code, recurring monitoring, or browser automation that connects scraping to other apps. Then test the candidate against a representative page and output—not just its feature list.
- Authoring: Do you want a visual builder, a browser extension, or code and API access?
- Page behavior: Does the target require JavaScript rendering, clicks, scrolling, pagination or other interaction?
- Operations: Do you need recurring schedules, monitoring, alerts, concurrency, integrations or a particular export format?
- Environment: Check supported operating systems, browser requirements and where jobs run.
- Economics: Compare the billing unit—subscription, task or run allowance, credits, or per-request usage—at your real workload.
- Reliability: Confirm how failures, retries, blocked requests and incomplete fields are handled. No reviewed source establishes a controlled benchmark across identical sites and budgets.
The alternatives below are a shortlist organized by use case. Feature characterizations are based on the cited comparison unless an official vendor source is linked; they should be treated as hypotheses to validate on your own pages.

Octoparse alternatives by workflow
Apify: API integration and custom workflows
Consider Apify when developers need APIs, Actors or custom workflow logic in a production pipeline, and are willing to accept more setup than a visual point-and-click builder. This fit is the assessment of Use Apify’s comparison, which is affiliated with Apify and includes an affiliate disclosure—not an independent benchmark.
That comparison reported approximately $5 per month in free credits and an approximately $19-per-month Starter plan, with pricing said to be verified in September 2026. Those are secondary, date-sensitive figures; confirm current costs, allowances and plan terms on Apify’s own pricing page before budgeting.
ParseHub: visual workflows for dynamic sites
ParseHub is a candidate if you prefer visual authoring but need to evaluate how a workflow handles JavaScript-heavy pages. The recommendation comes from the same vendor-affiliated comparison. It does not establish that ParseHub will handle a particular site better than Octoparse: test the exact interactions, pagination and fields you need.
WebScraper.io: lighter extension-based extraction
WebScraper.io is suggested for simpler tasks where a browser extension and low setup are priorities. Treat that as a use-case fit, not a verified statement about its current capabilities or plan economics. Confirm supported workflows and pricing with the vendor before relying on it.
Browse AI: monitoring and change detection
Consider Browse AI when recurring observation, monitoring and change detection matter more than a one-off extraction. Its official pricing page lists a free plan covering two websites and paid tiers showing five and ten websites, along with monitoring features. The reviewed page did not provide a dependable headline price for those paid tiers, so check the live page for current prices and limits rather than inferring them.
Bardeen: scraping inside broader automations
Bardeen is a possible fit when page extraction is one step in a workflow that sends results into other applications. That recommendation is qualitative and comes from the comparison article; current plan details and supported integrations were not established there. Verify that your required destination and trigger are supported.
PhantomBuster: social and sales-oriented extraction
PhantomBuster is the comparison’s suggestion for workflows centered on social platforms and lead generation. Check current platform support, usage rules, limits and pricing directly before adopting it; those specifics were not established by the reviewed evidence.
Firecrawl: developer-oriented crawling and API extraction
Firecrawl may suit a developer workflow using scrape, crawl, map or search endpoints. Its published usage model is more naturally compared in credits and operations than in Octoparse task counts. The available evidence does not establish that it is a direct winner over Octoparse; decide by testing output quality and calculating the cost of your actual pages and operations.
| Firecrawl operation | Published credit use |
|---|---|
| Scrape, crawl, map or monitor | 1 credit per page |
| Search | 2 credits per 10 results |
| Interact | 2 credits per browser minute |
Firecrawl’s official pricing page lists 1,000 free credits per month and a Hobby plan at $16 per month billed annually or $19 per month billed monthly. The page says these prices took effect September 4, 2026. Check its live terms for current allowances and billing conditions.
ScreenshotNeo: when the deliverable is a screenshot
If your task is to capture a page as an image or PDF rather than extract structured records, try ScreenshotNeo first. It is a website screenshot API and MCP server—not a general-purpose replacement for a data scraper. It returns PNG, JPEG or WebP screenshots or PDFs from a GET request, and accepts the parameter names used by other screenshot APIs to make switching easier.
Rank #3
Is Octoparse still a sensible choice?
It can be, if a visual builder and templates are your priority and its current limits and plan economics match your workload. Octoparse’s official pricing page lists a Free plan with 10 tasks, one device, local extraction and up to 50,000 exported rows per month. It lists exports to Excel, CSV, JSON, HTML and XML.
The same page lists Standard from $69 per month and Professional at $249 per month with annual billing; it says annual billing saves 16% compared with monthly billing. These are Octoparse’s published figures at the time of the September 2026 research date, not guaranteed future prices. Check the live page for currency, billing term, feature eligibility and limits before subscribing. Octoparse’s pricing FAQ describes its free-forever plan as including 10 tasks and 50,000 rows of monthly data export; that is the vendor’s own plan description, not an independent assessment.
Compare the billing models, not just the starting price
Plan names and headline prices are not directly comparable when one product charges by subscription, another by task or run, and another by credits or browser time. Estimate the number of pages and runs you expect, identify the billable unit for each operation, and calculate a representative month. Include paid tiers required for scheduling, integrations, cloud execution or other necessary features—not only the entry tier.
For the clearest published usage example in this shortlist, Firecrawl’s pricing page states its credits per operation and distinguishes its annual and monthly Hobby prices. For the other candidates, the reviewed evidence does not establish a comparable, complete price table. Check their official pricing pages and current plan terms rather than treating missing figures as zero or assuming a feature is included.
How to evaluate a candidate before switching
- Inventory the existing task. Record target URLs, fields, pagination, interactions, run frequency, volume and the destination format or application.
- Choose a representative case. Include a typical page and a difficult one—for example, a page with pagination or dynamic content—without starting by migrating every workflow.
- Rebuild the extraction. Map the same fields and steps in the candidate. Note any manual work, code, browser setup or plan upgrade needed.
- Run a small batch. Compare output against the source pages. Look for missing, duplicate, malformed or inconsistently formatted fields.
- Check operations. Verify scheduling, monitoring, concurrency, integrations, export compatibility and any proxy or anti-blocking requirements for your use case.
- Estimate the real bill. Use your expected page count, run frequency and the vendor’s stated billing unit. Include the plan needed for the features you actually require.
- Move gradually. Keep the existing workflow available until the replacement produces acceptable output and fits your operational requirements.
This process follows the migration advice in the alternatives comparison; it is a practical validation checklist, not a claim that any service was tested here.

Common selection mistakes and how to avoid them
Choosing by a single feature claim
A recommendation that a tool is better for dynamic pages or monitoring is not proof it will handle your particular site. Recreate a representative task and inspect the fields and failure behavior before moving production work.
Comparing unlike billing units
A monthly subscription, a page-credit allowance and a run-based plan can produce very different bills for the same workflow. Work out your expected usage against each vendor’s actual billing unit and plan eligibility.

Assuming the published price covers the required workflow
Scheduling, cloud execution, integrations, or a particular volume may require a different tier. Check the live vendor plan page for the feature and allowance you need rather than extrapolating from an entry price.
Replacing every workflow at once
Different tasks may favor different interfaces. Pilot one representative workflow, compare output and operations, then move only the jobs that meet your requirements.
Frequently asked questions
Is there an independently tested winner?
No controlled, identical-workload comparison is established in the cited material. The shortlist is use-case guidance, so validate candidates on your own target pages.
Can a screenshot API replace a web scraper?
Not when you need structured fields or records: a screenshot API returns a visual capture or PDF. It is relevant when the desired result is the page image itself.
