The “may come next month” framing is out of date. Nothing launched the Phone (4a) series in March 2026. The Phone (4a) Pro is listed on Nothing’s US store; the regular Phone (4a) was not listed in the US phone catalog checked for this update. That distinction matters if you are buying in the United States: global launch coverage does not establish that both models have official US retail availability.
Availability and storefront price signals below were checked on August 18, 2026; prices and listings can change.
The short answer
Nothing Phone (4a) and Phone (4a) Pro are already launched products, not phones still expected “next month.” Nothing’s launch materials put the regular Phone (4a)’s global preorder start on March 5, 2026, with open sales beginning March 13. The Pro had a separate launch and market schedule: Nothing’s US preorder promotion ran March 13–27, and company-community launch material said open sales would begin March 27 in most markets. Those dates are not proof that both models went on sale in every country at the same time.

What launched, and when
The series has two models: Phone (4a) and Phone (4a) Pro. Nothing’s launch announcements give the following broad timeline:
- Phone (4a): global preorders began March 5, 2026; open sales began March 13, with availability subject to each market’s schedule.
- Phone (4a) Pro: the US preorder promotion covered March 13–27, 2026. Nothing Community launch material said open sales began March 27 in most markets.
These are launch-era dates, not current preorder opportunities. The US promotion’s terms included a $100 no-minimum coupon for qualifying Pro purchases during the stated window, subject to the terms. That was a historical offer; do not assume it is still available.

US availability: the Pro is clear, the regular 4a is not
Nothing’s US product page lists the Phone (4a) Pro in US dollars and provides a route to purchase it. This is stronger evidence of US availability than an international product page or an overseas retailer listing.
The regular Phone (4a) was not present in the US storefront’s phone catalog when checked. The careful conclusion is that official US availability for the regular 4a could not be confirmed from Nothing’s current US listings. If you see one offered by a marketplace seller or importer, check the regional model number, network support, warranty, and return terms. An imported international model is not necessarily the same SKU or an equivalent to a US-store purchase.

Phone (4a) Pro price in the US
Nothing’s US product page showed the Phone (4a) Pro at $499. The company’s US phone and sale collection pages also showed a $449 promotional price at the time of the check. Treat $499 as the product-page price signal and $449 as a promotion that may end or change; confirm the live price on the product page before ordering. Taxes, shipping, and any applicable offer conditions may affect the final checkout total.
Do not infer a US price for the regular Phone (4a) from its price in another country. No official US listing or price for that model was verified here.

What the Pro offers—and what the headline zoom figure means
Nothing positions the Pro around its camera system. Its US product material describes a three-camera setup, including a 50-megapixel Sony main camera with optical image stabilization, a 50-megapixel periscope camera, and an ultrawide camera. Nothing advertises zoom of up to 140x and highlights its redesigned Glyph Bar rear lighting and Nothing OS features, including Essential AI tools. The “up to 140x” figure is a maximum zoom claim, not a promise of 140x optical magnification or image quality comparable to the phone’s optical zoom range. Treat the number as a marketing headline; if long-range photography is a deciding factor, look for independent sample photos and testing at the magnifications you expect to use.
The available verified material does not support a complete, reliable specification-by-specification comparison between the regular 4a and Pro for US buyers. In particular, do not assume unverified differences in processor, display, battery, charging, memory, storage, or US network bands based on leaks or international variants. Check the official specification sheet for the exact regional model before comparing those details.

Carrier compatibility: check the exact US model before paying
Nothing’s US beta-program information and user reports point toward T-Mobile being the clearest US network consideration, but reports and beta-program material are not a blanket compatibility guarantee for every model, plan, or feature. The available evidence does not justify promising full service on AT&T, Verizon, or every MVNO.

- That the carrier accepts and provisions the device’s IMEI.
- Supported LTE and 5G bands in the locations where you use the phone.
- VoLTE calling and, if you rely on it, Wi-Fi calling.
- 5G access, domestic roaming, and any carrier-specific restrictions for your plan.
Be especially cautious if you depend on AT&T or Verizon service: obtain confirmation for the exact SKU rather than relying on a general claim that the phone is unlocked. Nothing’s US beta-program page offers relevant network context, but it should not replace a current carrier IMEI check.
Buying checklist for US readers
- Start at the US Nothing product page and confirm you are looking at the US storefront, not an international listing.
- Check the exact model number and storage configuration on the product you intend to order.
- Run the IMEI or model through your carrier’s current compatibility tool before purchase; verify bands, VoLTE, Wi-Fi calling, and 5G separately.
- Confirm the checkout price. The $449 signal was promotional against a $499 product-page price and may no longer apply.
- Read the current US warranty, return, and shipping terms. For imports, get the regional model number and a clear return policy in writing.
- Do not count on the March 2026 preorder coupon; that launch offer’s stated window has passed.
Who should consider it?
The Phone (4a) Pro is the more straightforward choice for someone who specifically wants a Nothing phone through an official US listing, values the Pro’s camera hardware, and has confirmed that the exact device works on their carrier. Its US listing and price make it easier to verify than an imported regular 4a.
If you need guaranteed compatibility with a particular carrier, broad local repair access, or a clearly documented US version of the regular Phone (4a), resolve those questions before ordering. The regular model’s absence from the checked US catalog and the need to validate carrier features are meaningful caveats, not details to leave until after purchase.
Bottom line: Nothing’s “next month” story has been overtaken by events: the series launched in March 2026. As of the August 18, 2026 store check, the 4a Pro was listed for US purchase at a $499 product-page price, with a $449 promotion also shown, while the regular 4a’s official US listing remained unverified. Confirm the live price and carrier approval for the exact model before buying.
