Norton 360 Deluxe was listed at $49.99 for the first year in the U.S., or about $4.17 a month when averaged across the year, billed annually. Norton describes that as 60% off a $124.99 annual reference price. The subscription covers up to five devices and bundles antivirus, VPN access, 50 GB of cloud backup, parental controls and privacy tools. It automatically renews unless you cancel, and the renewal price can change—so check the final checkout terms before buying.
The offer is most useful for households that will actually use several of those extras. If you need only basic protection for one Windows PC, already pay for a VPN or backup, or do not want a recurring subscription, the bundle may not be worth it.

Treat $49.99 as a promotional price, not a guaranteed permanent price or a promise that every shopper will see the same checkout total. The page does not establish that the offer applies to every existing subscriber, nor does the deal information here establish a promotion end date. Confirm eligibility, tax, billing frequency and any renewal disclosure on the final checkout screen.
What the subscription includes
Deluxe combines several kinds of tools, rather than providing one identical layer of protection on every device. Norton lists protection for up to five devices across PC, Mac, Android, iOS and Fire OS, along with these features:

- Password Manager: a way to store and manage credentials. Compare it with any password manager you already use before counting it as added value.
- Dark Web Monitoring: monitors selected information and may alert you when it is found. An alert does not remove exposed records or prevent identity theft.
- Cloud Backup: 50 GB, principally a Windows-PC feature—not unlimited backup for every covered device or a complete disaster-recovery plan.
- Privacy Monitor and parental controls: family and privacy tools whose availability and capabilities can vary by operating system, account and device.
- Deepfake Protection and Norton’s 100% Virus Protection Promise: Norton advertises both, but the promise is governed by its separate terms and is not a guarantee that every threat will be blocked.
Norton’s plan comparison describes differences between its tiers. Do not assume every Deluxe feature works identically on Windows, macOS, Android, iOS and Fire OS; check the feature-specific requirements for the devices you intend to cover.
Is $49.99 good value?
Judge the offer by the services you will use and the cost after the introductory year, not just the percentage discount.

- Good fit: a household with several devices. Five-device coverage can be useful if family members will use the security tools, VPN, parental controls or privacy features. The bundle can also make sense if you need Windows backup.
- Less compelling: one Windows PC and basic malware protection. Windows includes Microsoft Defender Antivirus. In AV-TEST’s February 2026 Windows 11 results, Microsoft Defender and Norton 360 both received 6/6 in protection, performance and usability. That is a dated result for tested Windows products, not proof that every person’s needs are identical; it does show why a single-PC buyer should compare the extras they would actually use. - Less value if you already subscribe to a VPN, backup service or family-safety tool. Those features may duplicate what you have. Count only the added services you would otherwise pay for or use.
- Not the right tier for more than five devices. Norton 360 Premium offers a similar general feature family for up to ten devices. Compare its current price with Deluxe rather than buying capacity you will not use.
- Not the identity-restoration plan. Standard Deluxe is not the same as a Norton plan with LifeLock benefits. If credit monitoring or identity-theft restoration is your reason to buy, compare the specific LifeLock plan terms.
- Poor fit if you dislike subscriptions. Automatic renewal means you need to track the renewal date and manage the subscription if you do not want another charge.
Independent testing offers useful context, not a product guarantee. AV-TEST’s February 2026 Windows 11 table gave Norton 360, Bitdefender Total Security, McAfee Total Protection and Microsoft Defender full scores in the listed categories. AV-Comparatives also tested consumer products in its February–May 2026 real-world protection test. Renewal, cancellation and refunds: check before you pay
The promotional first-year price is not the only price that matters. Norton displays $124.99 as an annual reference price for Deluxe, but says renewal prices may be higher than the introductory price and may change. Do not assume that your renewal will definitely be $124.99. Norton says annual subscribers receive notice of the renewal price beforehand and that an annual subscription may be billed up to 35 days before the renewal date. The subscription renews automatically unless canceled.

Before checking out:
- Confirm the price, term, device count and renewal language on the final order screen. Check whether any tax is added.
- Save the order confirmation and note the purchase and renewal dates.
- After purchase, review the renewal amount and status in your Norton account.
- If you do not want another charge, turn off auto-renewal in time and confirm the account shows renewal disabled. Allow for the stated advance billing window.
Turning off renewal is different from requesting a refund: it generally prevents a future renewal charge, rather than automatically reversing the current purchase. Norton’s listed terms allow a full refund within 60 days of payment for an annual subscription and within 14 days for an initial monthly subscription, subject to its cancellation and refund policy. Uninstalling Norton is not the same as canceling billing. If you cancel renewal, check the account to understand how long your current paid access continues; do not assume cancellation immediately ends protection or triggers a refund.
Compatibility and feature differences
Norton’s Deluxe listing gives these minimum operating-system details: Windows 7 with Service Pack 1 or later; the current and previous two macOS versions; Android 10 or later with Google Play installed; the current and previous two iOS versions; and Fire OS devices. Requirements can change, so verify the current compatibility information before paying, especially for older devices.

The five-device allowance is not a promise that every feature is available on all five devices. In particular, Norton’s 50 GB Cloud Backup is principally for Windows, while parental controls and VPN capabilities may differ by platform. Confirm that the features you value are supported on the actual devices in your household. If you are adding devices to an existing Norton account, make sure each intended device is associated with the correct account and check whether older installations are using a slot.

Alternatives worth comparing
- Bitdefender Total Security: a five-device, cross-platform suite and a credible comparison for households considering a security bundle. The surfaced U.S. price signal was $59.99, but confirm whether that is a promotional or renewal price at checkout. Compare its actual VPN allowance, backup, parental controls, privacy tools and renewal terms with Norton’s. Bitdefender’s U.S. product page.
- McAfee Total Protection: offers cross-device security and, depending on the plan, scam protection, VPN and identity-monitoring or recovery-related features. Device limits and benefits vary. McAfee also distinguishes introductory pricing from renewal pricing, so compare both terms rather than only the first-year price. McAfee’s U.S. product page.
- Microsoft Defender: a no-separate-purchase baseline for supported Windows systems. It can suit someone who wants basic Windows malware protection but does not need Norton’s VPN, backup, Privacy Monitor or bundled family features. The February 2026 AV-TEST result is a useful snapshot, not a promise about every configuration or future test.
Buy safely—and avoid surprises
If you decide Deluxe fits, buy through Norton’s official U.S. page or a clearly identified authorized retailer. Retail activation codes can have different regions, device counts, terms and renewal behavior; avoid gray-market keys. Before paying, verify the final price and eligibility, whether billing is annual, the renewal amount or how to find it, the covered device count, and compatibility for your devices. Save the order details. If you later remove the app, manage the subscription separately through your Norton account or support rather than assuming uninstalling stops billing.
Verdict: At the listed $49.99 introductory price, Norton 360 Deluxe is a reasonable first-year bundle for a household that will use its five-device coverage and several extras. It is not automatically a bargain for a one-device user or someone who already has equivalent services. The key decision is whether the features justify the ongoing subscription—and whether you are comfortable checking and managing renewal.
