NIGHTCELL 7 version 0.5.4 adds a Play online option at nightcell7.com/play. Quick match joins a public 6v6 Team Deathmatch on Ardavan Yard, while Private match creates an invite-only room with a six-character code or shareable link. Multiplayer is free, but you need a verified account. The feature is still labeled alpha.
How to play NIGHTCELL 7 online

Open nightcell7.com/play and choose Quick match or Private match.

If you are not signed in, sign in when prompted. The game then returns you to the match option you selected.

For Quick match, wait for the public lobby to connect. For Private match, share the generated code or link with the people you want to join.

Online play requires a verified account. If a request is rejected, the game can show a reason such as an unverified email or an out-of-date page.

What happens while Quick match fills?
The public lobby starts with bots in open seats, so you do not have to wait for a completely full server. As people join, bots leave those seats. The announced Quick match setup is 6v6 Team Deathmatch on Ardavan Yard.

What the lobby tells you
Instead of leaving you with an indefinite loading spinner, the lobby reports its progress and result. Depending on what is happening, you may see that it is requesting a ticket, connecting, waiting for players with human and bot counts, live, or that the match is over with the score. If the connection is lost, a Rejoin button is offered.

The feature is labeled alpha, so rough edges or breakage are possible; the announcement asks players to report them. Its author describes an authoritative-server setup: the server determines movement, hits, damage, deaths, score, health, ammunition, match phase, team scores, and clock, while the browser sends player input and view direction.

The announcement’s author also reports an end-to-end test involving two players through the real API, gateway, and match server, and a production-image run in which two headless Chromium browsers signed in and entered one room with ten bots. Those are author-reported tests, not independently verified results.
