Yes. Motorola officially lists both the moto g54 5G and moto g54 power 5G for Android 15, so the update is confirmed rather than a prediction. Motorola’s India support page says the G54 5G rollout began on February 27, 2025; that date does not mean every region or carrier received it at once. Android 15 eligibility is clear, but Motorola’s G54 documentation does not promise every element of a complete Hello UI makeover.

Is the Moto G54 eligible for Android 15?

Yes. Motorola’s Android 15 device list includes both the moto g54 5G and moto g54 power 5G. Motorola’s US support listing for the G54 5G records Android 13 as its launch version, Android 14 as an upgrade, and Android 15 as its next OS. Motorola’s Android 15 phone list and its G54 5G software-support listing are the relevant official references.

The US G54 5G support listing also shows security updates scheduled through June 2027. That is the horizon stated on Motorola’s US page, not a guarantee that every region or variant follows the same schedule. A security patch is separate from an Android version upgrade: check the Android version itself to confirm Android 15.

When did the Android 15 rollout begin?

Motorola’s India product-support page gives February 27, 2025 as the start of the Moto G54 5G Android 15 upgrade. This is an India-specific rollout-start date, not a global availability date. Motorola says update timing can differ because of regional testing, carrier certification and software-channel requirements. A phone being eligible does not mean its OTA update will appear on the same day as another G54’s.

Check the support information for the phone’s actual country, carrier and software channel rather than applying another region’s date to it. Motorola’s India Moto G54 support page is the source for the date; its Android update guidance explains why distribution can vary.

Does Android 15 guarantee the full Hello UI experience?

No such universal promise is established in Motorola’s G54 materials. The official listings confirm Android 15, and Motorola documents changes for Android 15 on the G54, but they do not explicitly guarantee every visual element or feature associated with the Hello UI branding. The interface and included features should be judged by the specific regional build and its release notes, not inferred from the Android version alone.

Motorola also cautions that software functionality can vary by device and manufacturer. Its software upgrade page provides the general qualification. For the G54, the safe claim is Android 15 eligibility; full Hello UI parity is not confirmed by the cited device-specific documentation.

Which Android 15 changes does Motorola document for the G54?

Motorola’s G54 Android 15 documentation describes the following improvements. Availability can depend on the device build, compatible hardware or accessories, apps, Google services and carrier support; the list is not a promise that every function will work in every market.

How to check for Android 15 on your Moto G54

  1. Connect to Wi-Fi and make sure the phone has sufficient charge. Back up important data before a major software upgrade.
  2. Open Settings > System updates.
  3. Tap Check for updates and follow the onscreen instructions if Android 15 is offered.
  4. To verify the installed OS, open Settings > About phone > Device details > Android version. Menu wording can vary by software version.

Motorola recommends Wi-Fi for downloading an update and says an installed Android upgrade cannot be rolled back to the previous software version. Its update instructions cover the process and related cautions.

What to do if Android 15 is not offered

  1. Confirm the exact model. Check that the phone is a moto g54 5G or moto g54 power 5G. A similarly named regional model may have a different support listing.
  2. Record its software details. Check the Android version, security-patch date, build number, country of purchase and whether it is carrier-branded or imported. A recent security patch alone does not mean Android 15 is installed.
  3. Install pending maintenance updates. Restart the phone, connect to Wi-Fi and check Settings > System updates > Check for updates again.
  4. Check the relevant regional support page. Rollout status for one country or carrier does not establish availability for another software channel.
  5. Contact Motorola or the carrier if the update remains unavailable after it has reached the phone’s region and channel.

Regional rollout timing, carrier requirements and certification can delay an OTA update. Motorola’s update guidance describes these timing differences.

Can you force the update?

Start with Motorola’s built-in updater and official support resources. Motorola’s Software Upgrade page links to update-checking and Software Fix resources. If considering Software Fix, verify that it supports the exact model and software channel and back up data first.

Avoid firmware intended for another model or region, unofficial “Hello UI” packages, and flashing instructions from forums or video descriptions. No official manual firmware package is established here for every G54 variant. Bootloader unlocking or unofficial firmware can involve data loss and affect warranty coverage, banking apps, DRM or future updates; do not treat those routes as a routine way to obtain the OTA.
