Microweb School Management Software is a genuine India-focused, cloud-hosted school ERP from Microweb Solutions. It advertises modules for admissions, student records, academics, fees, payroll, transport, communication and administration, with role-based web and mobile access. It is worth shortlisting when local customization and vendor-led implementation matter. However, current pricing, plan inclusions, security commitments, integrations and service levels must be confirmed in writing before purchase.
Microweb’s official product site presents the platform as suitable for schools and multiple institutes.
What Microweb School Management Software is
Microweb Solutions positions Microweb as a web-based school ERP/SIS rather than a narrowly focused learning-management system. Its public material describes cloud access, multiple-institute management, mobile applications and configurable permissions. The product appears aimed primarily at Indian schools using CBSE, ICSE or state-board workflows, although the vendor should confirm support for any specific curriculum.
The main module list appears on Microweb’s demo page. A module being advertised does not prove that it is included in every plan or configured without additional work.

Microweb says it offers more than 35 report-card formats for CBSE, ICSE and other state boards and more than 50 certificate and identity-card templates. Treat those as vendor statements and ask which versions are maintained for the school’s exact board and academic year. Source: Microweb customization and feature information.
Parent, teacher, student and administrator access
According to Microweb’s benefits material, parents may receive announcements, homework, leave applications, fee-payment access, academic updates and bus tracking. Teachers may manage timetables, assignments, evaluations, lesson plans, leave and parent communication. Administrators receive operational dashboards and controls. The vendor also describes Android and iOS applications with role-specific dashboards: user benefits and platform features.
Before relying on the apps, check the current store listings, last-update dates, supported operating systems, password recovery, push-notification reliability, language options, offline behavior and whether every important web function is available on mobile.

Fees, payments and payroll require detailed testing
The fee-management page describes class-level structures, concessions, transport fees, multiple fee accounts, projected-fee reports, online gateways and automated overdue reminders. Demonstrate the school’s real cases: sibling discounts, scholarships, waivers, installments, partial payments, late charges, failed transactions, refunds and a student changing transport mid-term.
A TechJockey listing mentions Tally integration and payment gateways, but those integrations should be confirmed directly and written into the quote: TechJockey listing. Also establish who pays gateway, SMS and messaging charges and how data exports work.
For payroll, ask whether calculations cover local tax and labor requirements, overtime, advances, loans, bonuses, arrears and statutory reports. Confirm whether biometric data is stored by Microweb or merely imported, and ensure salary information is restricted by role.

Cloud hosting, security and data ownership
Microweb describes cloud access, server backups, SSL protection and use from internet-connected devices. Its AWS page refers to Amazon EC2 and an AWS relationship, but the page does not establish a particular certification, architecture or contractual security responsibility: AWS relationship page.
“Cloud-based,” “SSL” and “backup” are not substitutes for enforceable controls. Request written answers on:

- Data-center location, residency and subprocessors
- Encryption in transit and at rest
- Backup frequency, recovery-point objective, recovery-time objective and restoration testing
- Tenant isolation, administrator audit logs, two-factor authentication and password policy
- Account deprovisioning, retention, deletion and breach notification
- Full data export format, exit assistance and access after cancellation
Pricing and plans
Microweb’s official pages promote subscription or budget-oriented pricing but do not publish a current itemized price table in the material reviewed. TechJockey lists the price as available on request, with customization affecting the quotation. Do not assume a per-student rate, free plan, trial, contract term or included modules.
The phrase “Try It Free For 14 Days” appears on a promotional testimonial page, but eligibility and current terms require confirmation: testimonials page. Ask for a line-item quote covering:
- Base subscription, campuses and user or student limits
- Included modules and mobile access
- Setup, migration, training and report-card configuration
- Custom development, APIs and integrations
- SMS, messaging, payment gateways, GPS hardware and connectivity
- Support tier, response targets and renewal increases
- Taxes, cancellation terms, refunds, backups and data export
Strengths and trade-offs
Potential strengths
- Broad coverage across administration, academics, fees, HR, transport and communication
- Customization for Indian school processes and board reporting
- Parent and teacher mobile access
- Multi-institute positioning and vendor-led implementation
- Potentially integrated fee collection and GPS transport workflows
Risks or unknowns
- No transparent public price table or plan matrix
- Limited independent evidence: TechJockey shows 4.6/5 from eight reviews, a small sample that cannot establish broad market performance
- Little public technical documentation, security audit evidence or published uptime SLA
- Module depth, app maintenance and integration coverage require demonstration
- Heavy customization can increase cost, complicate upgrades and create vendor lock-in
Microweb’s own testimonials demonstrate customer deployments but are selected by the vendor rather than independent testing. Ask for two current references, including one school of comparable size and one multi-campus customer.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Who should consider Microweb?
It is a reasonable candidate for an Indian K–12 school or school group seeking one system for fees, records, academics, HR, transport and parent communication, especially where local configuration and implementation help are more important than self-service setup.
Best Value
Look elsewhere if you require public pricing before speaking to sales, independently audited security and uptime, extensive public documentation, international tax or privacy compliance, a specialized virtual-classroom or content platform, or guaranteed integrations that are not contractually specified.
Alternatives with clearer public pricing signals
| Product | Public pricing signal | Positioning difference |
|---|---|---|
| Fedena | Its pricing page lists Standard $999/year, Premium $1,399/year and Ultimate $1,699/year, with Enterprise contact-sales pricing; it also advertises a 14-day trial. Verify current currency, taxes and plan terms on Fedena pricing. | More transparent plans and a documented trial; bespoke local workflows may require enterprise work. |
| mPencil | Advertises a free plan up to 100 students, ₹21 per student per year for a core plan and ₹50 for premium. | Low-cost per-student model with public price signals. These are vendor claims, not independent performance findings. |
| EduGradUP | Its pricing page advertises plans starting at ₹9,000 per year and a 15-day money-back guarantee; WhatsApp message charges are billed separately. | Flat-price Indian positioning, Hindi support and WhatsApp alerts; validate maturity and reliability for your scale. |
How to run a Microweb demo
- Give the vendor a written workflow list covering admissions, attendance, exams, fees, payroll, transport, communication and data export.
- Require a live demonstration using sample records that resemble the school’s actual classes, fee rules and report cards.
- Mark each function as included configuration, paid customization, third-party integration or unavailable.
- Test parent login recovery, mobile notifications, online payment failure, refund handling, bus GPS loss and role permissions.
- Import a representative historical data file and inspect errors, cleanup requirements and ownership of the migration work.
- Obtain the security, support, SLA, backup, privacy, pricing and exit terms in writing.
- Speak with two comparable current customers before signing.
Recommendation
Shortlist Microweb when its broad Indian ERP coverage and customization match your workflows, but do not select it from the module list alone. Proceed only after a workflow-based demo, a complete line-item quote, security and data-export review, integration confirmation and reference checks. Compare the same requirements with Fedena and at least one lower-cost alternative so that customization and support are weighed against transparent total cost.
