However, Pluto TV was a historical streaming destination—not a permanent home—and availability can vary by country and change as licensing agreements expire.

What does “free streaming” mean?
Pluto TV is a free, ad-supported streaming television service. Viewers generally do not need a paid subscription, but they should expect commercial interruptions. “Free” also does not mean permanent ownership, downloads, ad-free playback, or guaranteed access to every film in the series.
Streaming rights are licensed for particular territories and time periods. A movie may therefore be available in the United States but absent elsewhere, or disappear from a service after appearing in its catalog.
Are all four still available for free?
Do not assume that the December 2025 Pluto TV announcement describes the lineup today. As of the research check on August 18, 2026, official Tubi pages showed several Bay-era Transformers listings, but they also demonstrated why readers should verify a title before watching: Tubi’s individual Transformers page still displayed title information while saying “content unavailable.” Tubi’s franchise guide also covered a broader selection, and its recently added page listed Dark of the Moon.

The practical answer is simple: check Pluto TV, Tubi, or another legitimate service immediately before starting a film. Catalog pages, search results, and editorial recommendation pages can temporarily disagree.
Why the Netflix departure mattered
The news was about access rather than a new movie release. The four films were reportedly licensed titles leaving Netflix, and Pluto TV offered a no-subscription alternative around the same time. That should not be interpreted as Paramount permanently transferring the franchise to Pluto TV or making the movies exclusive to it.
Licensing arrangements rotate between services. A streaming “home” in a headline usually means a current catalog placement, not ownership of the films.

Is Transformers: The Last Knight included?
No. Transformers: The Last Knight (2017), Bay’s fifth Transformers movie, was not part of the reported four-film Pluto TV offering. Its availability has changed separately, so it should not be bundled into the free lineup without checking a current service listing. The distinction is also noted in the relevant IMDb Transformers news listing.
The wider live-action franchise also includes Bumblebee (2018), directed by Travis Knight, and Transformers: Rise of the Beasts (2023), directed by Steven Caple Jr. Neither belongs to Bay’s first-four grouping.

Use release order for the clearest introduction to Bay’s run:
- Transformers (2007)
- Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009)
- Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011)
- Transformers: Age of Extinction (2014)
- Transformers: The Last Knight (2017), if you find it on a separate service
The first three films center on Sam Witwicky and his involvement with the Autobots. Age of Extinction shifts the human lead to Cade Yeager and places greater emphasis on the Dinobots. It remains part of the same broad Bay-directed continuity, although the franchise’s mythology and timeline are not especially clean.

Bay’s movies are known for large-scale action, military spectacle, extensive visual effects, and a deliberately maximalist style. They were commercially prominent but received mixed-to-negative critical reactions. The films are best understood as blockbuster action entries with a shared live-action continuity, not as a perfectly consistent timeline or a separate official four-film collection.

- Tubi: A free, ad-supported alternative. Tubi says its service is free and does not require a credit card, but its individual title pages can still show content as unavailable.

Tubi’s official page links to access through iOS, Android, Roku, and Amazon Fire TV. You do not need to buy new hardware if you already have a compatible smart TV, streaming device, phone, or tablet.
